早阵子于工作时间经朋友通知 , 赤柱有餐厅做团购 , $498 有蚝有酒有牛扒有龙虾 , 真是超抵 , 而且工作太忙 , 没有考虑的情况便立即买下但是......放工时间看见这间餐厅的食评......真是......有点.......既然买了 , 就冒险试试 , 另外精心策划一下一些惊喜 HAHA== 10月20 ==放工后到赤柱 , 到处逛逛 , 很舒服的一个地方

I've bought 4 "sets for two" from Groupon. The following are the descriptions: 赤柱高级海鲜餐:$299 品尝 Rocksalt 海鲜二人套餐,叹澳洲生蚝、鲜蟹肉饼、吉列炸虾、澳洲盲槽鱼及更多 (价值 $598)边欣赏赤柱怡人风景,一边享用丰富海鲜餐澳洲新鲜生蚝、鲜蟹肉饼、澳洲盲槽鱼…食到舔舔脷澳洲大厨 Cameron Gardiner 曾于多间五星级酒店工作,精心炮制各款美食到赤柱海滩日光浴,然后到市集 shopping,再去叹海鲜晚餐最啱 We have the dinner last night. The complaints:1) The long list of food (ie oyster, crab cake, deep fried prawn, etc) are merely choices to be included in the set. You can choose one amongst the long list as starter;2) there is NO Oyster. French fries, green salad (but NOT any other salads) or deep fried prawn or crab cake were offered as replacement. Other than the deep fried shrimp and crab cake, I could hardly see any of these as replacement of the same value (not to mention quality);3) As a DINNER set (ie海鲜晚餐), there is NO soup, and not even coffee or tea. I know some top-end restaurants do not include such in their set as well - IF they make it clear prior to ordering at Groupon. In a HK context, most western restaurants will include such in a DINNER set! 4) the 2 choices of main course are barramudi or seafood pasta. The barramudi is far from fresh (and hence it tasted badly), The pasta is ok on its own - as there is limited "seafood", e.g. clams separated from shell(!). 5) The "desert", again, is such a nightmare! It is merely fried sugar (kind of) with a few fruit spreaded on it. The "dinner" includes: a) starter: i) 1 piece of crab cake and 1 piece of deep fried prawn; or ii) french fries; or iii) green salad; b) main course: i) barramudi or ii) "seafood" pasta; iii) "desert" (if you could use such a description). We end up half-full after the "dinner" (ie海鲜晚餐). As to the quality, the deep fried prawn is ok but NOT the remainders of the "dinner" set. I'm not naive in expecting a superb dinner at this price ($299 for two + 10%). The fact, however, is that it is so poor both in quality and quantity to an extent that the whole dinning experience is WORSER than one in any of the fast food restaurants!

It's been few months since I went to Stanley as it's hard to find a parking space. As I saw the weather was not super sunny so I decided to give it a try last sat & luckily the parking lot was not full.Looking forward to a late lunch at Rocksalt as my last impression was quite good. The weather was still moderate last time but I guess it's too hot now so they have closed the windows & turned on the air-con.I ordered the big breakfast & I craved for an egg benedict as well so my bf ordered one to share. The big breakfast looked good when it arrived. The turkish toast was great & the scrambled was creamy. When I got to the sausages, I almost spitted out because it's terribly dry & chewy. i asked the staff to replace them cos I don't think I can swallow that. The staff was polite when he heard my request. After maybe 8-10 mins, he brought back 2 sausages. He waited for comments & I told him it's a bit better but probably the sausages are the "meaty" type & have been frozen for awhile. Guess they can consider using other sausages like bratwurst or so, common ones will do for a all-day breakfast dish.I had a bite on my bf's egg benedict with salmon. it's delicious & the serving of the salmon is optimal. Sometimes you just found the salmon serving is too small. The muffin can be less soggy tho. This always happen to egg benedict cos the spinach & the sauce will be absorbed. The serving time is critical.I had a side order of kangaroo & pancetta salad. I wasn't interested in the kangaroo at all but I luv goat cheese & spinach salad; however, the salad was too warm when it came. Cucumber cubes were not a good choice to go with a spinach salad as you can never manage to hold on to the small cubes & the spinach at the same time. The cheese was kinda "too" soft as the salad was too warm. Besides, if I didn't get it wrong by the name, I assumed there'd be pancetta but I didn't see any!With such a nice location besides the sea, if the chef can enhance the quality, the place should be able to "rock"!

8 月上旬 (晴)团购了在赤柱 Rocksalt 的两位晚市套餐, $ 299+ 10%, 包头盘、主菜及甜品,价钱相当吸引。是日周末订了 6:30 pm 的枱,我们共三人,两位用 Groupon 的套餐,另一位则散叫 a la carte。先讲讲环境:环境是舒适怡人的,餐厅三面是落地大窗,夕阳斜照,赤柱海旁,还可远眺古雅的美利楼,正!室内有高高的楼底,吊著点点的岩盐灯饰,配上餐桌的红色 candle,很好 feel。服务又如何呢?老实说只是 ok,事缘我有 allergy, 个 appetizer seafood trio 嘅蚝想改做 crab cake or shrimp, 侍应就答话不可以,虽然都算有礼貌,但我就觉得奇怪 , 可以令个客开心点嘛,why not? 可能碍于公司政策吧,但管理层可以考虑改善一下。食物却真叫人有点失望了前菜是上面提过的 seafood trio - oysters, crab cakes and breaded prawn ,虾 ok 但 crab cake 就不太吸引,有点腥,亦不够热 主菜我们分别选了因为有三人,就加了个 pepperoni pizza ($138)扁意粉都算 al dente, tomato sauce 亦醒胃够味,seafood 有 shrimps, mussles, squid, 都唔错。Barramudi 做得外皮够脆,虽然比起 Le Mieux Bistro 的 pomfret 还是差了一段,但亦算 OK.Pizza 则比想象中好,portion 很大,是三人份量,劲够芝士,才卖 $138,抵食!本来 so far 都 not bad, 但最后来的 Pavlova 则大失所望了,蛋白 crust 焗得香脆,但淋上面相信是 Guava juice,酸、好酸,这个是甜品嘛,为啥这么酸,我很怕酸,要扣分了Overall, 是环境正 ,服务及食物只属一般,但吃吃 pizza, 饮杯啤酒,也不算贵,会 为 hea hea 或 Groupon 而 encore,让斜阳、明月、海风 补食物之不足

由浅水湾行到深水湾, 大家都热到不行, 就搭车来赤柱, 甚么也不做之前, 先来这里吃点东西, 没有下午茶餐牌, 就在主餐牌拣了四款食物分吃.Rocksalt eggs benedict $118: 8分, 在all day breakfast一栏中拣了我们的心头好: eggs benedict. 拣了火腿作配菜. 蛋香足, 火腿沾上蛋汁, 不俗. 底下跟上一块多士, 脆脆的, 也几好.跟餐还包饮品一杯, 要了iced tea, 热热的天气下, 解渴一流.Hot chocolate fondant $78: 8分, 上到台已经流紧, 其实流心度是不俗. 朱古力味几浓烈, 外层实净, 配上雪糕, 永远是必胜的组合.Rocksalt infused caramel ice cream $30: 9分, 也要了个是日推介的焦糖雪糕, 雪糕滑溜, 有奶香, 加上焦糖酱, 在这个天气下, 极之消暑.Hawaiian pizza $128: 8分, 大家也被我影响, 是吃完咸, 吃甜再返吃咸也无问题.这餐最后就是亚妹拣的薄饼, 材料包括火腿, 菠萝, 番茄同埋芝士. 用木板上, 份量相当不少, 焗得几香, 脆卜卜, 热辣辣, 加上半溶的芝士, 大家吃得不能听口呢.整体食物几令人满意, 环境也不俗. 吃完这餐, 大家就起程在赤柱走走消化一下.
