Piccolo Pizzeria & Bar served traditional authentic Italian Pizza and Pasta. To my surprise, the group opened up the 3rd Piccolo within 3 years at Kau Yu Fong (Central). It is always packed on Friday night, therefore I made a reservation this time to dine with a good business friend. I met James, Chef for La Port Perfume next door, who smiled & recognised me. I enjoyed looking at the Brick-Stone Grill in making fresh Pizza. We cannot wait to enjoy our Friday Dinner at Piccolo.This restaurant's unique-ness is the interior design of the walls filled with Venetian & Italian postcards. I wonder what are the stories behind the decorations of the wine bottles and postcards? The area is much casual sitting around the Bar Area or Sofa seats on the 2nd floor. I greeted my friend, Mr. Law, to the quiet sitting area facing green bottles of decorated lights. We ordered through menu average $120 /pizza. The ambience was strong yet there is a lunch menu which values for money. 2 of us ordered, 1 pizza, 1 pasta and to our surprise an offer of dessert. Every of the main course are cooked immediately.The restaurant is best to visit without rushing for meetings. The environment is very romantic and small groups for chitchats with good friends & family.When bitting the pizza, the crusted dough with smoked taste plus cheese, tomato and some herbs as based of pizza mixed it to a traditional taste. It is obvious that the ingredients are not from local, the ham, herbs and dough is the most important key of the pizza. All pizza are created immediately. 继续阅读

This is literally a pizza bar as you sit on a bar around the open kitchen (there are a couple tables upstairs).The menu mainly features pizza, pasta and salat. We tried the pizza with ham and mushrooms and the warm vegetable salat.The warm vegetable salat was basically an ordinary green salat with a few pieces of warm pumpkin and onion. The dressing was mainly oil and water (I guess the salat hasn't been dried properly after washing). Not a recommendable dish.Fortunately the pizza was better. Quite small with 11 inches and made right in front of us.The dough was good, making a nice, soft crust. Cheese and ham where of good quality and generous. Mushrooms where unfortunately from a can. Overall still a good Italian style pizza.The place has a very bistro-like look with some Italian deco elements. Service is fest and friendly.Prices are quite high given location, portion size and quality (most pizzas are 160 HKD plus 10%) 继续阅读

一直很喜欢吃Piccolo, 薄饼做得像意大利的那种, 意大利面亦好吃. 他们最新的分店在中环, 在九如坊开了一家. 我比较喜欢去这家分店, 原因是在中环, 对我来说回家较方便, 而且环境自成一角, 没有一般餐厅的吵闹, 跟朋友来边吃边聊就最适合我们上了二楼用餐, 装潢简约, 座位亦舒适. 很怕有些薄饼店座位太多而让桌子与桌子变太贴在看餐牌的时候发现有些薄饼跟意大利面是其他店没有的! 来的太对了他们饮料有酒类, 啤酒sangria一律不缺. 但当晚有点累, 点了无酒精的柠檬有气特饮. 这种饮料配这里的任何食物都很搭. 朋友有点他们的elderflower punch, 也很好喝我们点了些炸物, 先上的炸薯角就已经让我觉得跟外面的做得不同, 外面特别脆身, 里面薯肉又软又香. 外面的盐巴下得刚好, 不会太多或太少. 炸鱿鱼跟炸鸡翅都是非常惹味香口的小吃, 两款都是香脆而不油腻, 鱿鱼弹牙, 炸过后亦不失本身的鲜味. 鸡翅一咬下去还有很多汁, 外脆内嫩, 现在想起也很想再吃呢! 下次去应该要点杯啤酒来配一下吃炸的美食当然也要点份沙拉来平衡一下, 凯撒沙拉, 酱料不会下太多, 加上芝士, 沙拉菜够新鲜, 爽脆带菜甜, 我自己一个人可以吃掉一盘之后我们试了三款新款薄饼, 这个是 honey bacon, 烟肉吃起来带咸香而不会过咸, 如果你喜欢吃烟肉一定会喜欢. 底下的洋葱也很香, 蜂蜜的部份如果能加多一点点会更好, 不过这样已经很不错了, 烟肉的咸跟洋葱的甜很搭配Fennel and Sausage, 爱吃肉的朋友也会喜欢这个, 因为香肠的味道很突出,很少吃到以茴香作配料的薄饼, 保留了本身的味道, 较清, 与香肠的浓味配合得宜吃完两款肉类的薄饼就来个素的,  Quail and Srooms, 菇菌加上鹌鹑蛋的薄饼. 味道一点也不寡, 取而代之的是菇菌浓郁的味道, 加上鹌鹑蛋的蛋香, 非常好吃! 这里的薄饼饼底本身就做得很好, 够薄但不会做得太过脆, 有点韧度, 所以我很爱到Piccolo吃薄饼我也很喜欢吃Piccolo的蒜香意粉, Aglio Olio, 是意大利其中一款最简单但又很受欢迎的意大利面. 九如坊分店还有加上几只虾子, 别少看这几只虾, 加在意大利面中有把本身的蒜香意大利面提升到去另外一个层次, 吃每一口都会有蒜香加上虾鲜, 美味非常! 只有这家分店才有喔, 很值得来试试最后重温了Piccolo的招牌甜点 - tiramisu跟panna cotta, 简单不花巧, 却是直接的美味下次想再吃Piccolo的话应该还会来九如坊这一家, 因为呢个鲜虾蒜香意粉我真的很喜欢呢! 继续阅读

记得上一次去Piccolo Pizzera & Bar,是去年底到访西环店,相隔大半年,Piccolo又有新店开了,选址在型格小店集中地的中环九如坊,未知会否吸引一群Artistic的朋友前来吃Pizza呢?店主似乎想法跟我相近,新店装修得明显较具艺术特色,地下墙著以旧报纸剪䀡为概念的墙纸,配合红砖墙,别具特色。楼上展示著几张我认为好有Mood的摄影及画作,配衬深褐色梳化,确实令环境增添艺术气质。食物又如何呢?Piccolo主打Pizza及Pasta,但我更爱这里的小吃。炸鸡翼呈金黄色的外表,非常香脆之余,鸡肉又松化,最适宜配啤酒,可惜我正在Keep Fit,暂时戒一戒啤酒,唯有改饮Cocktail!另一佐酒之选是Calamari,即是炸鱿鱼圏,松脆得像威化般,醮上柠檬蛋黄酱,就显得惹味。Pasta的选择是这店的招牌菜Aglio Olio with Prawn (香蒜大虾意粉),保持水准,微辣中见恰当的蒜香和油滑。Popeye's Pie脆脆的薄饼上,放了大量菠菜和Mozzarella芝士,香滑的芝士敌不过菠菜的清新,整体感觉是非常的自然。Quail & Srooms鹌鹑蛋配牛肝菌,两者都是浓郁口味的食材,加起来又竟然不太重口味,有些香甜,又有些奶滑感觉,调配得不错。Smokin Speck一块块火腿放在薄饼上,我预计一定会好咸吧!其实又没有想像中那么咸,味道烟烟靱靱,感觉有趣,但不是我杯茶!三款Pizza之中,我最喜欢Quail & Srooms,贪其浓郁香滑。而这晚的食物亦在水准之上,如想在中环来个薄饼聚会的话,这里是个不错的聚脚地。 继续阅读

有段时间的我曾是一个薄饼迷,很喜欢吃,一星期总会吃上三四次,有时甚至叫家人夜晚不要煮饭,不如叫薄饼吃,回想起来都有吓人,不过现在就不能吃那么多了,而且也会选择一些有质素的,好似这间Piccolo就是我心目中好吃的薄饼店之一。回想起当年那天,第一间开于西环坚尼地城那边,还未有港铁,交通不便,但由于味道吸引,也不到了不少次,慢慢他们扩充,由大坑至湾仔,再到今天的中环店,一直也是他们的粉丝。最喜欢就是【Chicken Wings】,美味程度爆灯,真是百吃不厌,原因在于生炸的关系,肉汁完全锁左肉中,十分JUICY,配合香脆的外层,实在太美味了。【Calamari】也是不错的选择,炸得香脆可口,一口炸鱿鱼,一口啤酒,真是一乐也。同时与【PotatoWedges】一起吃,更添开心,薯角外脆内软,蘸点柠檬蛋黄酱,减去少许油腻,不错的。吃得多热气食物,都要点沙律清新一下,【Caesar Salad】真是最好的沙律,酱汁惹味,可盖过沙律菜的草青及涩味,清爽不腻。再来一点饮品消消暑,这杯【Elder Flower Soda】入口冰凉甜美。未吃薄饼前,就来点意粉,先是此店招牌的aglio olio,不过这个【aglio olio with prawn】是加强版,就是加入了新鲜虾来炒,味道除了原有极为惹味的辣椒及蒜香外,还多了一份鲜味,而且吃到虾肉非常新鲜弹牙,美味极了。主角陆陆续续登场,今次一改以往吃蕃茄底的味道,全点上白汁底,第一款是【Popeye’s Pie】,名未有趣,叫大力水手,莫非吃完会更加大只,材料很简单,没有肉的成份,但却是吸引,十分清爽的一款。另一个是【Quail & Srooms】,未上枱,远处已闻到那个浓郁的菇香,由牛肝菌、本菇及磨菇组成,香气诱人,不过最邪恶的是加入了鹌鹑蛋,令整个薄饼的味道升华了,同样没有加入肉类,但却做出了更为好吃的味道出来。最后的一个终于有肉了,【Smokin Speck】其实也是十分香喷喷的,可是上一个太过突出之故,这个却给比下去了。薄饼上舖满了薄薄的烟熏火腿,味道带点咸香。甜品时间,就是【Tiramisu】及【Panna Cotta】,一向对这儿的甜品赞赏有加,前者软滑,味道浓而不腻,还有淡淡的酒香,后者则香软滑溜,云呢拿香味浓厚,两者都很好吃。Piccolo Pizzeria & Bar真是一间不错的薄饼店,除了薄饼美味外,意粉都做得很好,而且装修及环境都带给人一种relax的感觉,是一个与朋友共聚的地好方。******************************更多有趣的分享,请到Blog (www.jamelchui.com)Facebook Page (facebook.com/jamel.food) instagram (instagram.com/jamel_zysk) Email 联络 (zysk@ymail.com) 继续阅读
