Ms. Gokson's choice of staff has always been infamous, as manifested from the reviews made against her flagship restaurant- SEVVA. It seems that Ms. Gokson failure in hiring staff with basic human decency has been perpetual that even her other line of bakeries, including C'est La B, hired staff with no manners at all.
This afternoon, at ard 5:15-30 p.m., I was calling C'est la B. A female staff picked up my call. I called to enquire about the details in reserving a cake. The staff simply referred me to their website to make a reservation. I patiently asked that I have no recollection of such a page. Then, she got irritated and replied me in an arrogant manner that 'I did not understand a word that you are saying'. I patiently asked her to look at their website. She immediately asked me if it's C'est La B's website that I was visiting. Of course I was visiting their website, and I replied yes and I informed her that no headings or any conspicuous signs exist on the website to direct readers to make an online purchase.
She then ridiculed me 'Have you seen the heading read "Cake"?' I was maddened and answered 'Yes, of course.' She then told me once I clicked into the picture of the cake and below of all those tiny font stating the prices of the cakes of different sizes, there is actually an arrow to download to order form, which can enable me to fill it in and fax it back to their booking centre. Wow, thank you for such user-friendly website and advice. I almost thought what I am doing is not to book a cake, but cutting my subscription for cable TV.
My appetite was immediately ruined after such a demonstration of modern inferior service.
Dear C'est La B, you and your own staff can eat you own pile of unsold cake, because no one is ever going to buy them. I wish you and Ms. Gokson all the best, because with such inferior service, it is no wonder that C'est La B closes one after another. It is simply anticipated that this one at PP will shut down as well in NO TIME.
