上週五小人在附近辦完事, 隨便找個地方吃飯, 見到此餐廳環境企理, 又沒甚麼人, 於是决定是日午餐在此解決。看看餐牌, 收費算合理, 順理成章買個套餐。拉麵套餐$52包括蝦仁拉麵、豬肉餅和豆漿。湯底淡而無味, 只見浮面一層厚厚的油圈, 剎是嚇人, 喝下去像是水溝油。拉麵糊口, 蝦仁是雪藏貨, 一定要加些豆辦醬來提味。豬肉餅餅皮就算煎過也很靭, 豬肉餡確是有汁的, 然而卻欠胡椒味, 肉質像是點心「山竹牛肉」一舊肉球般實淨非常, 沒有蔥不特止, 不說也不知是胡椒餅! 如果單叫一個胡椒餅需$15, 以這麽小個的份量來說太不值了!吃完的印象就只記得那碗湯上的油, 真正見識到甚麼喚做面泛油光。…查看更多

Influenced by a certain TV show, I made my way to this place for their beef/ pork ‘cakes’. It was packed when I went there at around 12:30pm on a rainy weekday. Lucky for me, as a single patron, I got a seat almost immediately.As you can see from the menu I’ve uploaded (in Chinese, English and even Japanese), they have several pre-set meals with either Shanghainese bok choi rice or Shanghainese ramen, small dishes and soya milk to go with your main. I didn’t go for their set meals as I had my eyes on their meat cakes. As far as I could tell from my neighbours’ food, the lunch sets were pretty decent (and good value too!). Might come another day for lunch sets.My cakes came in 2 mins. I guess they couldn’t do “make to order” as there tends to be a large lunch crowd in their cosy little place. It didn't matter, my buns were still hot. I liked that the cakes were not mouth-burningly hot as it would be a hazard since there were plenty of meat broth sitting patiently inside the thin, lightly fried, crispy crust, waiting to meet your palate. The beef cake was the better of the two. The patty was flavourful. It was soft and moist, with green onions to intensify the flavour. The pepper pork cake was not very exciting. The pork was a bit gamey and sour (probably inexpensive pork scraps). They could have hidden the unpleasant taste with more pepper, but they didn’t. Very tiny hint of pepper, ever so slightly spicy – I guess it was a localised flavour. I shouldn’t compare it to the Taiwanese pepper beef/pork buns you find in night food markets.Friendly and efficient staff. Cosy decor. Tissue paper provided for juice spilling actions. 行經上址，俾佢個招牌吸引，睇睇有咩食。入去見到就細細間啦。主要是上海式食物。有拉麵，菜飯，牛肉餅等等。一個套餐大約$50-60，都可以接受。因為不是太肚餓的關係，所以只要了青瓜及牛肉餅。青瓜爽脆（$15），辣味剛好，有小許蒜。不錯。牛肉餅都juicy（$15）， 可惜不夠熱，減低了香味。皮還保持小許脆。不過，我覺得清真及馬家莊的比較好味。…查看更多

有日同個朋友經過上環，見到呢間成間廟咁，原來係食上海野。入去坐低就叫左啲主打野，(餐牌有隻公仔樣)等左陣就食得，個舊牛肉餅一咬就第一感覺，好似小籠包咁，有肉汁，好好味。然之後我食左個蝦仁炒蛋菜飯，朋友就食豬扒菜飯。我偷左朋友一舊黎食，發現好鬆軟啲肉質，好味野黎! 我個炒蛋都唔錯，炒得好靚，正體都滿意。個到有個灰色頭既waiter很健談，講得好好笑，差啲就對住我朋友噴飯下次會試食拉麵!…查看更多

Came here for dinner as boyfriend wanted to try it out. Located in the Sheung Wan area, is a small restaurant called 大頭佛城隍廟 (or in English "Big Head Buddha"). It serves a small variety of Shanghai dishes. Brightly lit, it felt more like a cafe than a Shanghai restaurant.Menu in Chinese and English. They had rice and noodle sets along with some small dishes.Shanghai Pork Chop Ramen Set ($52).  Set included a bowl of pork chop noodles, one beef cake and soymilk. I have no idea what happened to my photo of the noodles. I can't seem to find it. But it was a rather small bowl with a lot of preserved vegetables on top. Noodles were a bit over cooked and soggy. Soup was overly salty MSG.Pork chop was also overly salty. Though at least it wasn't dry and overcooked. It was also very oily.The set came with one beef cake but we also ordered a pepper pork cake ($15) as well. The pastry was ok and not too thick but really oily as well.The inside was filled with juicy meat but it was so salty.The pepper pork was even more salty than the beef cake.Brine Chicken Wings with Vegetable Rice Set ($48). Set included soysauce chicken wings, one soysauce marinated hard boiled egg with vegetable rice, spicy cucumber and soymilk. Portion size was pretty small. Rice was a bit too soggy. Vegetables were diced not very finely and wasn't mixed into the rice properly. The chicken wings were bland and overcooked. The egg was flavorless.Spicy cucumber was super spicy but not crunchy. Not very good as well.One note was the soymilk was in a fairly decent size cup.Food wasn't very good and too salty. Prices are quite inexpensive. There is no 10% so not too bad. 幾次都是周六上午，牛肉餅和豬肉餅均十分出色。即叫即製，肉汁四濺，滾燙鮮味！牛肉餅頗有九龍城清真牛肉館的風味, 據說大頭佛師傅是出自該店, 惜有兩次都是皮穿了, 但吃的時候小心, 拿捏準確, 還是可以連肉湯一起吃掉. 胡椒豬肉餅更為出色, 是咬了一口, 胡椒香氣撲進口腔. 如果要二選一, 我會把胡椒豬肉餅列為此店必食, 因為別家所無.豬扒菜飯，菜的比例可以稍加，豬扒猶勝當年天后順豐的！香口鬆化, 肉味也濃. 其實應為急凍豬扒, 但處理得好而無雪味.粢飯的糯米特香，惜油條都是老油條！…查看更多

上個月經過上環禧利街，才發現一間由外籍老闆娘開設的意粉店 The Pasta Place 結業！:( 當時，我幫襯已覺得價位偏高！ 加上食客不多，少生意導致結業始終是事實！最近經過禧利街，見到原址裝修中，尚未開業的店子已掛上招牌 <大頭佛城隍廟>！大家經過也很好奇？究竟即將開什麼店子？昨天星期一經過，似乎店子已整裝待發準備開舖；於是，今天中午專程走過來看看，<大頭佛城隍廟拉麵．牛肉餅> 已經開始試業！ 我急不及待去幫襯！試業期間營業時間：10:00am ~ 8:00pm原來這是一間上海菜小店！店方為了節省成本，原用上手的牆紙及白磚，配合簡約的裝潢，便開門做生意！:)雖然，門面與店內顯得格格不入！:(其實！中午趕頭趕命食個午餐，相信好多打工一族也不介意其裝潢！最緊要食物上得快及食物質素！如果，羊毛出自羊身上！裝修貴，要食客承擔昂貴價錢的餐，肯定大部份人都不願意的！這裡供應簡單的上海美食如拉麵、菜飯、牛肉餅及套餐，由十多元有交易，至於上海飯套餐只需 $51，價錢大眾化！ 怪不知 1:00 左右去到已坐滿！加上大家也想嚐試新餐廳啊！除了堂食之外，亦可外賣！外賣等上大約 8 分鐘！行回公司只需 3 分鐘路程！ 老油條栥飯套餐 $23粢飯 (單買$16) size 只算一般大個，拿上手並非預期的熱辣辣，只是微暖！:( 糯米煙韌軟糯！如果，糯米夠熱的話口感會更佳！內裡的材料很充足！ 鹹度恰到好處的榨菜絲、少許的肉鬆、帶微脆的油條，反而整體調味幾合胃口！ 粢飯內裡的材料很充足！熱豆漿熱豆漿就真的很熱，質感濃度適中，味道清甜頗為甜一點！:(…查看更多
