It has been awhile I haven't had buffet / all-you-can-eat meal in Hong Kong, don't think I can eat the portion that makes the money worths, and it's hard to find a decent restaurant that serves high quality buffet in Hong Kong as well. Nevertheless, I managed to give another try of a restaurant in Kwai Chung which has various food selection ranging from seafood, sashimi, hot dishes to desserts and free flow of drinks. The overall dining experience to me is okay I would say, but given the price i
The dinner is like semi-buffet style with 3 sets of main dishes available to choose (from around $300 to $400 if I am not wrong). They served us a seafood platter as soon as we made the order, shrimp (both sashimi and cooked), scallop, squid, tuna, salmon and herring were freshly sliced in thin pieces and placed on slurried ice. The sashimi has a firm texture with a sweet, creamy and buttery taste. What's more? There are unlimited oysters provided at the buffet bar area with chef who serves order-to-open fresh oysters, the aroma is fresh with a taste of the sea, yet not very fishy. The waiter then brought to the table an appetizer - grilled abalone, looks good and tastes not bad either but not warm enough as a hot dish though. Other main dishes were served one by one afterwards, including baked dough bread with cheese and bacon, zizzling crab meat pasta with tomato sauce and grilled lamb rack etc. The food is okay but you won't come back for another plate (the seafood and cold plates are way better), so if you are craving for buffet-style meal at an affordable price then it's the place to go.
