婚礼过后, 天又新年到, 又近Easter. 夹班兄弟姊妹出黎庆功都搞到改期又改期. 结果于星期五晚, 终于夹到成班朋友出黎. 但由于工作同居住地点关系. 始终都系夹唔齐人, 是晚只有7人出席.特地找来了这私房素菜, 地点不易找. 没有门牌, 没有指示, 完全靠客人介绍同做熟客仔生意. 而我是因为有食友介绍过同食过才安心去订下位子, 再预先点下几道其拿手既菜式. 做就这一次人不齐的庆功宴. 而数下数下, 这个是我第1400篇食评. 我们7人, 选择了入房坐, 比较private, 几嘈都唔怕, 不过就欠了一个电视. 这里就半自助式, 汤饭糖水任食, self service. 餐具自拿, 碗筷自取, 食完, 最好帮手清台. 人未齐, 大家自助地每人一个汤先. 而是日的例汤是西洋菜大豆汤. 平常系屋企煲, 通常都会见到南北杏, 这里的就换成大豆. 出来的汤, 多了豆味. 而且一打开个煲, 好多好多西洋菜. 果然叫少一味𩠌都得.人齐了, 即时上菜. 而第一道菜就是此私房馆子的名物. 斋叉烧. 此叉烧做得真是100%形似. 叉烧, 其实由薄薄的叉烧酱包著, 斋看, 已经同真正既叉烧似到十足十. 食落去, 味道浓浓的, 再细嚼一下, 口食落去, 虽然同真正既肉的确有分别, 但已经系似到足. 而且, 朋友夹起, 细心看, 竟然做到有肥羔的, 斋叉烧肉做出一层透明的斋肉, 来扮肥叉. 果然巧功夫. 之后是沙嗲, 沙嗲粉丝煲. 素食的沙嗲汁, 每一间素食馆子都有唔同既做法. 伴上生菜同素鱼腐, 味道可算不错. 只是个沙嗲味未食惯而已.清淡少少有个炒杂菜. 用了素虾饼去伴, 多了一种惹味. 青菜木耳味道清淡, 食落健康非常.再来的, 是荷叶炆金针云耳猴头菇. 即是荤的金针云耳蒸鸡. 猴头菇用来煲汤就食得多. 用来当素鸡咁食, 就的确是第一次. 没有放汤, 咬落唔会辣亲. 因为没有索入太多既热汤. 呢次索的, 是炆𩠌既汁, 本身冇乜味既菇, 一咬充满荷香同金针云耳既精华, 非常之美味.我习惯叫返个鱼. 食素鱼, 除了芋头鱼之外, 就是这个素左口鱼吧. 加上陈皮, 同芫茜去蒸, 做法同普通蒸鱼冇分别. 而且平时我只是食开一块块的鱼片, 这次成条, 有头有尾, 果真是第一次见. 味道是我最喜欢的, 不过几位斋妹, 因为经常食呢味菜既关系, 令到负责点菜的我, 倍加投诉.最后出场是沙嗲串烧, 不过味道太浓反而令由细到大都食素既几位小妮子不大喜欢. 此沙嗲酱就似番个沙嗲酱, 好香花生味既酱, 淋在一串串的烧面筋上. 非常之惹味. 味道浓烈, 香口. 而且仿真度一样超高, 朋友说, 之前的叉烧已经被比下去了. 饭是红米饭, 任食. 糖水是麦米粥, 一样任食. 甜味一般, 没有太过火. 而且食完咁多味浓既野. 来一个清清淡淡的糖水. 更加可口怡人.埋单$398, 咁有水准的私房斋菜. 收咁既价钱. 非常之抵食啊. 不过, 呢度既特色菜对我们这些食肉兽就可以好满足. 但长食素的人, 实在不宜食浓味的这几道菜. 我应向其淡味的素菜著手才对.......斋妹又骂道......"你又只顾点自己喜欢的菜......嘻嘻, 下次醒目D ..... 继续阅读

四月初十•阴天 不是喜欢素食的人,个人素食的经验,是在前年一口气吃了一个月的素食,那时就在饮食网站写了一个「素食巡礼」。是日难得小草搞了一个斋局,当然要来凑凑热闹。 这里是楼上店,采取的是半自助形式,白饭、汤及糖水也是自己动手去盛,吃几多也行,不浪费就可以了。菜色方面,个人最喜欢的是一味蒸鱼,吃起来美味。可能是紫菜的关系,是真的有点鱼腥味,值得一试;另外斋烧味是乳猪及叉烧,甜甜的好吃,很容易令人吃不停口的;芋头鱼是吃斋的一味妙品,很香,仍然不错;素鳗鱼酸酸的很开胃;猴头菇炒西兰花是最原汁原味的一道菜了,咕噜肉就很一般,素水饺真的做到有虾粒在内似的,看起来也十分像的; 汤是汤及黑豆糖水,清润甜美,虽然不太好喝,但应该对身体好的。 平日饭局多尝名店子,但如是日一般,与几位围内朋友,看著无线NOW新闻台,吃吃家常便饭,也很写意。 埋单每人70元,与大家一起吃,试了众多菜色,真的便宜到极。想吃吃中式斋菜的朋友,这里也是值得一试的。想看各式素菜的相片及足本食评,请参考下列网志:http://gourmetkc.blogspot.com/2010/01/blog-post_6528.html 继续阅读

may 05, 09,3人嚟lunch,原来喺自助型式,食咗 : 1) my plate (hk$33)-我攞咗腐皮卷,蒸豆腐,青豆角,炆莲藕件,薯仔,菜心素牛肉,白菜仔,腐皮包-味道比较吸引喺炆莲藕件(有南乳味),薯仔(经炸过,再用豉油+糖煮,惹味),腐皮卷(多口感因多材料),青豆角(清甜),蒸豆腐 2) 饭 (包埋任食)-如果红米嘅份量可以多d就最好喇 3) 汤 (包埋任饮)-好多料,有素肉,红萝卜,粟米,白豆,节瓜..........但就唔喺老火𠮶只因为见到咁多水就知道-味道清淡,都喺主要食/饮番食材嘅原味 4) 糖水 (包埋任饮)-有好多种豆,有眉豆,鸡心豆,麦米,赤小豆,甜味不重-又喺食番个原味 * 上次食友们嚟呢度搅晚饭局,可惜我去唔到,所以今次友人突然转嚟呢间食,我都不知几开心...........1心谂住可以叫吓食友上次食过嘅小菜,但原来lunch,差唔多所有人都喺食自助式嘅碟头𩠌..........之后断kg秤 * 呢度好明显崇尚少盐少油同少糖,好健康 * 呢度嘅lunch好多人...........慢d都无位坐...........斋期嘅日子真喺唔好预我喇 * 真喺要揾次嚟食晚饭,咁就可以叫吓小菜 继续阅读

What could get a bunch of carnivores to have vegetarian food? For me, it was because of my tradition of 十五食斋. However, my incredibly thoughtful friends decided to change our weekend lunch venue to 佛有缘 to accommodate my habit. While I was extremely touched, I was also very concerned: Would they have to sacrifice an otherwise scrumptious meal with boring vegetarian food? Would the food at 佛有缘 be able to satisfy my friends, who have enjoyed so many gourmet meals in the city? Fortunately, my concerns were erased with the delicoius food, thanks to the flawless organization and menu selection by 公子 and Superbaby. Although 佛有缘 focuses on vegetarian food, its defining dishes have nothing to do with plain tofu or vegetables. 素乳猪 was able to retain the crackling skin texture of real suckling pig (脆乳猪皮) with the crispy surface of the beancurd sheets. The chef also demonstrated attention to details, providing the sweet dipping sauce 乳猪酱 on the side to enhance the “suckling pig”experience. 素叉烧 was also expertly done, with the glazed sauce tasted almost identical to the actual roast pork. The faux-meat of the 串串酥 was generously smothered with zesty satay sauce (沙嗲汁) and was just as rich and appetizing as the real deal in Singaporean restaurants. Of course this sauce was a great companion with the unlimited rice, and if you ever found it too spicy there was bottomless house soup (today’s was a mix of Chinese pear, corn, carrot, burdock 牛蒡) to sooth your throat. If you find this prospect exciting, the steamed fish 古法蒸素鱼 will turn you upside down. Our “fish” not only tasted like genuine fish, but texture-wise it was the closest to the actual dish among all the items we tried. The “fish” was delicate in texture in pure in flavor. The light soy and mushroom complemented the fish perfectly. For a minute I asked myself “This is really 素鱼? How do they do it?” I am a fish lover and I can say I will be happy to have this “fish” any day. Despite being really stuffed, each of us still opted for a bowl of the free dessert, a sweet concoction of herbal tonic to finish off our meal. The room was gradually filled with customers, each of them knowing their way to grab their soup, rice, and dessert in the back kitchen. Afterall, people who run this little hidden gem are like your long time neighbors treating you with homey vegetarian food in an unadorned apartment. Everyone was calm and relaxed, as if they were at home.Like many of the new-styled vegetarian restaurants out there, 佛有缘 tries to be creative and original with dishes appeal to both vegetarians and otherwise. What really distinguishes herself is the level of sophistication to create these dishes as close to the real versions as possible. The food isn’t oily, the flavors are spot-on, and you don’t feel that you are missing meat after the meal. 位处于商住大厦里面的素食店,十分隐蔽,若不是有食友在此设局,我也并不意识到这里的存在。承蒙草的邀请,一班与佛有缘的食友齐集佛有缘开餐,但大家都系食肉兽,个个斋口唔斋心,不断向素肉类狂攻。讲讲环境,很有住家feel,碗筷茶水自便,汤水米饭也是自行入厨房搞掂,感觉有如在屋企设宴,很随便的。开饭之前,先喝一碗汤,是木瓜汤,味道清淡,莫讲话味精,连盐都唔放多两粒,真的像在吃斋,其实几难饮;饭是白饭之中沟了点红米饭,不过红米饭的份量太少了。餐牌上的菜色可不少,有成七十几款,很多𩠌都好吸引。大家商议一轮,每人点一些,最后也叫了九个菜,让我逐一介绍吧。素乳猪,像真度极高,看得到有肥瘦肉,吃落有层次感,皮又脆,甚至附有乳猪酱,相当神似;叉烧是另一味好似样的𩠌,又是有肥瘦的层次,面头有点㶶㶶地,味道不错,而且吃到很重的玫瑰露味,很奇怪。据说这是南乳做出来的效果。这里的芋头鱼并没有把整条鱼型砌出来,不过材料丰富,不单有芋茸,更包含了芋肉,外层酥脆香口,口感实在,点上酱汁更有滋味。无锡鳗鱼卖相又是可以乱真,且香气阵阵,主要是醋带出来的效果。紫菜包著腐皮炸,香脆可口,在面头洒上芝麻,增加香味和咬口。云吞一碗八粒,大大只,皮薄馅料多,虾仁是用菇去做成,甚至用一间间的红白色去模仿,好像是预左人拆开来硏究咁。这认真的态度和心思,值得嘉许。汤底方面,也有鲜味,不比真正云吞面档的汤底差。蜜桃鸡柳,除了有清甜的蜜桃外,还有翠肉瓜和蕃茄,几清新的。可惜的是甜酸酱汁做得不够惹味,而鸡柳其实也只不过是一旧粉团炸出来,味道普通了一点。古法蒸鱼是最令我叹为观止的一道菜,整条鱼上台,还用上大量芫茜、果皮及冬菇丝去蒸,你说多认真。鱼肉其实是腐皮,但弄成较稔身,很有鱼肉的口感,点上鼓油吃,跟吃真鱼没大分别。豆包素火鸭卷系一致恭认为最差的,虽然卖相可以,但嫌炸得太干身,又无味无道,需要点芋头鱼的酱汁来吃。最后一味是猴头菇炒西兰花,估不到原来猴头菇可以咁烟韧入味,西兰花也没有马虎,色泽翠绿,爽且不硬。糖水我没有吃了,但听大家的意见都是几足料好味,我想都不会太差。总的说食物是不错,最好是不太油,比起坊间的素食馆要好很多。还有一点想提,大家吃完是要把碗筷餐具收拾好放回洗碗盘,不要吃罢就咁离开呀!我们把东西收拾好之后,邀请饭后甜品出场........Zoe Cake... 继续阅读
