I wanted to see what all the fuss was about so yesterday after an appointment at Admiralty a colleague and I dropped by for lunch. Ham & Sherry is conveniently located on Ship Street by The Pawn, J Residence, Koh Thai, Bo Innovation, etc., beside a tram stop.Weather was bad so I'm guessing that's why the place wasn't too busy but we slotted into our bar seats anyway to try the food. Lunch sets were a decently priced $128 per person - not including dessert though.

A good enough hot plate of Spanish paella (like risotto). I wish it were a bit creamier because the colder it got the drier it got. On the other hand I was eating verrry verrry slowly... oh, and be careful of that hot plate, burnt my arm on it.

Surprisingly good! Do yourself a favour though and try to eat it fast to enjoy the juicy patty.

Wow this dish was delicious!!! The lemon cakes were lip smackingly good and the foam was light and tart.

yum..

Would I come back? Probably not, once was enough...

假期, 還是要繼續工作. 累了, 還是在午餐的時候吃得寫意一點, 為自己打打氣. 短短的船街, 選擇委實不少, 是日就來Ham & Sherry吃個午餐吧. 其實Ham & Sherry是跟22 ships同系, 那邊的菜式是很有創意的, 且看這邊的水準又如何呢?或許是假期的關係, 人客不太多. 不過店子是比22 ships那邊稍為大一點, 幾個人來吃也無問題. 我一個人, 當然是坐回吧檯吧, 看著廚師們在工作, 也是樂趣. 午市來到, 那就在Lunch specials那一欄揀選一客三文治吧, 另外, 少不了的是來一客甜品.Jamon & cured beef sandwich $108: 8.5分, Lunch specials有三款選擇, 都是輕食類別, 快吃快走嘛. 我的選擇是Jamon & cured beef sandwich, 即是西班牙火腿加上鹹牛肉的三文治. 來到Ham & Sherry, 還是吃火腿為上算. 一客一開三, 讓客人吃得更為便利. 包身是幾鬆軟的, 入面的西班牙火腿以及鹹牛肉皆是水準之作, 肉質嫩滑, 入口無渣, 帶鹹香. 配上番茄及菜蔬同吃, 清新一點

Jamon & cured beef sandwich $108: 8.5分, Lunch specials有三款選擇, 都是輕食類別, 快吃快走嘛. 我的選擇是Jamon & cured beef sandwich, 即是西班牙火腿加上鹹牛肉的三文治. 來到Ham & Sherry, 還是吃火腿為上算. 一客一開三, 讓客人吃得更為便利. 包身是幾鬆軟的, 入面的西班牙火腿以及鹹牛肉皆是水準之作, 肉質嫩滑, 入口無渣, 帶鹹香. 配上番茄及菜蔬同吃, 清新一點, 也會是比較健康的配搭. 這客三文治, 用料上乘, 簡簡單單的配搭起來, 讓人很滿足.

Lemon cake, matcha tea, toffee, raspberry & balsamic $72: 8.5分, 吃完三文治, 也是時候吃甜品. 廚師們兩三下手勢就預備好了, 其實還有煙霧彌漫的效果, 不過我就不太能夠補足到這個情景, 唯有留在心中吧. 這客甜品, 賣相很精緻, 色彩鮮艷. 檸檬蛋糕質感對辦, 檸檬香幾突出. 配上抹茶, 拖肥及意大利香醋結合而成的泡沫, 帶點分子料理的感覺, 味道酸酸甜甜的, 很有個性.

很喜歡在Ham & Sherry吃午餐, 簡簡單單, 投入自我的空間, 享受一客精彩的西班牙火腿鹹牛肉三文治, 再加上檸檬抹茶拖肥意大利香醋蛋糕, 就算工作再忙, 人生路再難走, 還是有力氣繼續去走上高山低谷. 這裡不設加一, 埋單$180, 不便宜的午餐, 但能夠吃得開懷, 也是辛勞工作的加力良方.
