每次飲茶都不會失望的地方

近月因為疫情關係,一般週末盡可能都會留在家裡,但偶爾也是需要吃一頓好的透透氣。每次來飲茶都不會讓我失望,而這次也不例外😍坐下後,餐廳先提供了信封放口罩,然後上了餐前小食- 虎柏胡桃。這是我吃過的虎柏胡桃中最甜的,幾乎是糖果,作為餐前小食我覺得有點太甜。甜蝦韭菜餡餅- 雖然我不是特別喜歡吃蝦和韭菜,但這款點心很有驚喜,不會太油膩,味道較一般肉餅輕盈。鮑魚撻 - 每次必點的菜色,鮑魚煮得剛好,口感Q 彈,撻底的甜度亦與撻內的醬汁搭配得很合適。杏仁雪影焗叉燒包 - 這道菜本身已經非常討好,包上那層一碰就散的甜脆皮是靈魂,不過我覺得裡面的叉燒醬可以少一點。XO 醬蘿蔔糕 - 由於家人吃不了辣,所以XO 醬另上,否則這應該用XO醬炒會更惹味。蘿蔔糕真的100分,就算只是微煎一下已經很美味。其實XO醬說不上辣,下次可能會請廚師直接用XO醬炒。葡汁蟹肉撻 - 這個概念很好,但我覺得試一次就可以了。也不能說不好吃,就是味道普通,葡汁味道濃郁得蓋住了蟹味。吃下去後不是很清楚吃了什麼 😅。清湯紅棗燉牛腩 - 這牛腩非常非常香,味道令我喜出望外,質地很鬆軟,值得一試。黑豚肉叉燒- 這道菜可以叫一份(8件)或半份(4件),我一般會訂位時請餐廳留一份。真的能吃得出用的是高質豬,肉質彈牙,肉味濃郁。不過,這叉燒肥肉比例不低,吃一兩件已經有點膩。蛋白松子炒飯 - 不過不失,其實飯粒炒得粒粒分明,說真的不錯,只是吃了其他更精彩的點心後,這炒飯顯得有點失色。銀杏腐竹露 - 我沒試過在酒店中菜廳喝過腐竹糖水,所以看到菜單上有它時興奮了一陣子。這比一般的腐竹糖水濃稠得多,每口都能喝到濃濃的豆香。唯一缺點是,吃了這麼多後其實已經很飽,再喝一大碗這麼濃的糖水真的不容易。最後,餐廳再奉上餐後甜點,但我已經吃不下,捧著滿足的肚子回家了。我真的很喜歡天龍軒,能吃到與別不同的創意點心。當然,人均$600的點心午餐真的不便宜,但有時來吃一下當作慰勞自己吧!…Read More

Amidst the fear of the ongoing pandemic, some friends and I decided to come here for more spacious seating (better to keep a safe social distance). However, sadly, the booth table we were given for the 5 of us was slightly more cramped than desired.Naturally, we opted for the lunch set menu, which came at nearly $300 for two courses (without drinks). That said, I must say, the complimentary bread here was rather delightful, seeded baguette style bread, quite simple but scrumptious. Starter: Salmon and quinoa salad with tartare sauce dressing. If I'm very honest, it's not easy to mess up this dish because salmon is very flavorful in itself. That said, the fish was very well cooked, not too dry that it's still pretty juicy. However, I didn't think that the salmon and quinoa complemented each other particularly well. I didn't like the tartare sauce in the salad either. Although fish and tartare sauce are a classic combination, I would have preferred a lighter dressing instead of downing my food in a sauce puddle.Main: Spaghetti puttanescaI was rather pleased with this pasta. The slight tartness of the tomatoes balanced well with the saltiness of the chopped olives. Even with olives, the sauce wasn't excessively oily. 非常高質的燒肉午餐,真的很驚喜

一直想來這裡,朋友曾跟我說這裡的午市套餐是少有的價廉物美(以和牛來說),終於找個星期五來個快閃bbq午餐。首先,星期五午餐一定要訂位,餐廳當天full booking,而始終不是快餐所以不可能等位吧。事前做了功課,因此坐下就馬上點了1(chef selected wagyu BBQ set)和2號(yaki shabu set)餐再加一份bbq牛舌(只適用於點lunch set)。套餐各150元,包括牛肉、白飯一碗、味噌一碗、沙律一碗、一些韓式前菜和一罐汽水,而牛舌則加50元。上菜說真的比預期慢(不就是把醃好的生肉端上來嗎🤔),但幸好由於牛肉片挺薄(尤其2號餐)所以燒肉時間很短。份量說真的不太少,但如果沒加牛舌可能男生會不夠飽。我們兩個女生把三盤肉掃清光也不覺得過份地飽(不過頗膩)。肉的質素真的很棒,很有肉味,尤其1號的和牛。不過,下次再來吃午餐可能寧願點2號,因為質素已經挺高(當然稍遜和牛)但份量多一點,且脂肪量較低吃下去沒那麼油,好像比較適合上班天的心情😂。不得不讚的是那盤牛舌,腌得非常入味,口感入口即化,物超所值,份量也比預期大。總的來說,我覺得以肉的質素來說,這個價錢十分划算。當然隨便一頓午餐一個人接近二百元不是快餐價錢,但快餐不會吃得到這班高質的燒肉吧!(由於只顧著吃,吃了不少才記得拍照。燒爐左邊是牛舌,右邊是1號的和牛)…Read More

少見的劣質日式班戟

在網上看到介紹這間日本梳乎厘班戟過江龍,雖然不是最出名的那一兩間,但身為班戟的愛好者(無論是梳乎厘還是美式),當然要來朝聖一下。我們大膽地嘗試在開幕那天(星期五)晚上來碰運氣,其實打定輸數以為人龍一定超長,但最後竟然大概十五分鐘就有桌子,真的很驚喜(不過45分鐘後就會失望...)這裡是走自助形式,有點奇怪,跟偏優雅可愛的裝潢好像不太搭(自助形式令整間餐廳的格調降了一級)。餐廳中間有條排隊下單付款的人龍,每個桌子有個beeper,食物準備好會讓顧客自己去拿,總之弄得像快餐店(但價錢不是快餐的級數)。不知是否剛開幕的緣故,上菜挺慢的。梳乎厘班戟等的時間還好,另外那個黑芝麻班戟就真的要等到天荒地老才出來。先講我的鮮奶抹茶(轉豆奶),非常一般,就只是糖水,沒有什麼抹茶的甘香。至於這裡的ricotta cheese 梳乎厘班戟是我吃過最普通的梳乎厘班戟,味道其實不差,有蛋香,但吃班戟早要緊是口感,那麼就真的不合格。這個班戟我覺得不夠鬆軟,空氣感也偏低。三塊班戟在極短時間內已經塌掉,最低那層甚至已經被壓成柿餅🤣,消失得無影無蹤。班戟旁邊的那坨忌廉不要也罷,完全沒有提升味道的作用。吃完了梳乎厘班戟,我們的黑芝麻班戟竟然還未準備好,最後催促了一輪後終於可以吃到了!哇,吃了一口已經可以不用吃下去😓 整塊班戟實在太乾,把口腔裡的的水分吸掉,口感極差,味道不見得精彩,旁邊的三個配料也極度普通。最令人詫異的是揭開班戟後,我們發現班戟部分顏色很奇怪(看下圖),是因為我們催促所以敷衍地煎兩下就拿出來嗎?看到這裡,根本可以總結這裡完全不合格了吧!真的,這一頓完全浪費了我吃甜品的quota。…Read More

來這裡吃飯很明顯是衝著頗有名氣的西瓜蛋糕。這裡店舖很小,所以午餐時段一定要訂位。我叫了lunch set,包餐湯、意粉和一杯飲品,另外加$35附上一件蛋糕(例如西瓜蛋糕)。飲品我選擇加$28轉特飲 (牛油果smoothie),本來挺期望的,但最後味道有點令人失望。飲品帶微微的蜂蜜幽香,另外加上一股不知名但我不喜歡的味道(可能是牛油果味?但我一向頗喜歡吃牛油果的),整杯飲料很飽肚,冰感重,兩個女生分享也喝不完,只可一不可再。接著是我的鹹蛋雞肉意粉,真的很普通,意粉偏亞洲口味,略嫌油膩但味道又太淡,唯一的鹹味來自鹹蛋黃但意粉本身不夠鹹,只可以說吃了會飽肚的東西。好了,期待已久的西瓜蛋糕來了。Oh...不了,真的試一次就夠了。雖然是漂亮,但是好像在吃肥皂😓。那兩層海綿蛋糕應該是杏仁base所以口感比較粗糙,夾著兩層超甜忌廉。沒錯,那片西瓜很清新,但我不覺得跟蛋糕特別地搭,就是硬生生把塞進去。頂層的果凍又是很甜,還有花香(但我不是特別喜歡吃有花的食物),總之整體就是吃肥皂的感覺,完全不明白為何會這麼出名,實在只屬gimmick。再說,這裡不是特別便宜,我覺得只能說勉強合格。…Read More

One of the coolest, most underrated restaurants

This is one of the coolest British restaurants I've come across in Hong Kong. The interior looks a bit like an exclusive drinking club, and it has a very extensive drinks menu. One thing to note is how exceedingly difficult it was to find the entrance. One needs to go down a small alleyway (across from the fringe club) and then go up one floor. If in doubt, just call and ask.I was quite impressed with the food here, although I have to say, their food menu is rather limited. Most of the food was more "finger food" style and portion and there was only one type of dessert. This place changes its menu quite often, so I was a bit disappointed I couldn't try a couple of things I saw online. We got the battered fish, truffle chips, scotch eggs and meat pie. The fish (which frankly looked a bit like fried chicken pieces) was decent, according to my friend, but we had expected to get a proper battered fish filler, rather than small pieces. And personally, I prefer my fish less fried. The truffle fries and scotch egg, really can't complain. The scotch egg was happily half runny (it's not easy to find a place in HK with decent scotch eggs), but I would have preferred it less salty (especially the mayo on top). The highlight for me was the meat pie, the nondescript parcel of meat enveloped by puff pastry. It's packed with very powerful and juicy meat flavor and the meat inside was unexpectedly moist. So so so glad I ordered this. Don't let the bland appearance fool you. It tasted so good.Granted, I think most people come here for the drinks, which we enjoyed as well. I ordered a drink called "one thousand" and it came in a cup that looks like a canvas bag. To be honest, I can't say I loved this drink, but could have been a matter of personal taste. A lot of people came here because of the instagramable blue cake and Cafe decor, but I came to check out gluten-free cakes, because I hear it's much healthier to GF. Interior-wise, I have to say this place scores fairly high. Pastel blue tones complimented the girly flowery style very well. I did find the place a bit cramped though, but OK I know, space in Hong Kong is expensive. Luckily, we booked a table in advance so we didn't have to wait for a table or worse, sit outside in the heat...The drinks list is quite extensive so I had a tough time choosing, and eventually ended up with a blue Earl Grey latte. My friend opted for a more adventurous choice, the Sapphire latte (something called tiger nut milk with blueberries, acai and maple syrup). We enjoyed the drinks. The Earl Grey in the latte was quite pronounced and had an almost flowery hint to it. I took a sip of the Sapphire latte and it carried a sweet flavor that I can't really describe (must be the tiger nut milk, which I'm still not sure what it is...) but in a good way. For food, I ordered the Avocado toast with egg and shared the earl grey cake and carrot cake with my friend. The toast dish was a bit underwhelming. To be fair, I don't usually eat gluten-free bread, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to taste like this, which was pretty bland and the texture was not great either. The portion was fairly small as well, especially since this cost around $100. And I had to add $30 extra for the salmon. As for the cake, the Earl Grey cake was nice. I don't know if it's tougher to make GF chiffon cake but this was very airy and the Earl Grey really sang through. The blue cream was dyed with butterfly pea extract and just tasted like normal cream. On the other hand, the carrot cake had more problems. Firstly, the texture of the cake was more like a pudding, very dense and too moist for my liking. Usually, the part I look forward most on a carrot cake is the cream cheese frosting but this was some other unknown cream, which I think contained coconut. Maybe as a cake it's not terrible, but I'm not the biggest fan of the coconut flavor. Personally, I found the entire piece of cake too sweet (that I couldn't finish it). I have to admit, I came here purely for the artsy printed coffee after seeing pictures online. It actually looked a bit gimmicky to me online, but being someone with FOMO, I thought I'd need to try this place at least once. And I was pleasantly surprised!The artsy printed coffee actually comes with either coffee or chocolate base, but since my friend and I were too excited about ordering the print atop our drink, we forgot to ask for the chocolate base and both ended up with a coffee. Given that the drink costs nearly $90 and customers have the choice to bring their own picture to be printed at no extra charge, I decided to pose a little challenge and brought a photo of one of my favorite paintings, whilst my friend opted for a stock photo from the cafe of the famous kaws character. I was very impressed with the result of my drink (see photo), given that the photo I brought had a melange of colors and I was actually slightly worried beforehand if I'd end up with a colorful mess in my cup 😂. The coffee itself tasted like a latte and I thoroughly enjoyed it. One downside though, the drink was at room temperature, but I get it, if the drink is too warm, it'd end up melting my pretty picture on top. I would strongly suggest bringing your own photo to be printed, since it's so much more fun and it costs the same as the stock photos!Onto the food, I went for the salmon roe and tuna risotto in spinach sauce. Very pleased with the dish! Any risotto lover would tell you it's not easy to get a good risotto texture because every chef has his own preference. Luckily, this chef and I seem to share similar tastes in risotto! The bursts of flavor from the salmon roe and mango bits complimented the relatively mild taste of the tuna and spinach cream extremely well. I really enjoyed the vibe of this restaurant, although I'm usually not a massive fan of pop-culture-esque art like this, it felt very very relaxing, a nice temporary escape from reality. However, the good vibes and food did come at a price, at way over $250 per head for a one-course lunch with drinks. Now, it's really debatable whether this is considered good value. I've heard a lot of good things about this place before and the funny thing is the food style is supposed to be drastically different between day and night. Being a brunch fanatic, I especially came here to sample the east-meet-west fusion brunch dishes. Personally, I love eggs and a good hollandaise sauce, so naturally I went for the char siu eggs benedict and the flavors were beyond my expectations. Naturally, the eggs were cooked fairly perfectly along with a Hollandaise I couldn't fault. But in between was also top quality avocado and amazing pieces of char siu pork (neck I think), cradled by lightly toasted bread. The fat from the meat and creaminess of the avocado sang so well with the dish. I hadn't had that "Omg" moment from a dish for a long while. It came with some fried lotus chips, which were nice but seriously the eggs were the star of the dish. It was so good, that I genuinely considered ordering a second helping. 很可愛的小店,餃子好好吃

無意中發掘了這間日系小店,聽說這裡的餃子特別出色,而我一向超愛吃餃子,所以特地來試一下。這間店座落於一棟服務公寓內,環境非常清新。踏進餐廳門口,真的覺得非常舒服。四周的佈置很有心思,瀰漫著親親大自然的感覺。點了一個日系美姬餃子鍋,二人份量(每位198元),湯底是豆乳雞湯,裡面有半隻雞,有十五隻餃子、一塊水豆腐和一些蔬菜。餃子真的很好吃,有大概三、四個口味,我特別喜歡那款有芝士的口味!湯底我覺得比較像中湯,挺鮮美的,不過我一向比較偏愛日式的火鍋湯底,所以這個不算是驚喜。除了火鍋,我們還點了牛油果卷,這個我很喜歡,雖然味道偏淡,但是勝在裡面的沙拉新鮮,澆上麻醬很配!話說回來,雖然我對所有食物都頗滿意,但是這個價錢我覺得有點貴。兩個人吃這個火鍋合起來要四百元,而主要只是吃十幾隻餃子(當然還有半隻雞),CP值不太高。不過我看到其實可以單叫餃子,價格就合理多了。我一定會再來,試一試其他的東西!…Read More

我衝著麻糬來的,但竟然給了我生麻糬

一般來說,我沒習慣為手搖飲品寫食評,但這杯麻糬抹茶鮮奶真的令我大跌眼鏡。在網上看到廣告新出這款茶,中午特地過海來喝這杯,因為說真的我是麻糬控😂。我換了要豆奶底再加了奶蓋(一般上面是忌廉)。平心而論,這個茶香很濃,所以我這三星是給抹茶的,可以喝出來用上的抹茶不是廉價貨(我基本上到每個cafe都要喝matcha latte,所以有挺多經驗哈哈)。不過,我叫這杯茶的重點,即是那些麻糬真的嚇死人,應該大概九成的麻糬都是生的吧。咬下去,呃是生的,一坨粉。不知道是不是時間還早(其實也已經差不多兩點)所以麻糬還未煮熟???但這個完全不合格吧,把東西煮熟應該是基本吧?如果不是已經帶走了,我應該會投訴😅再說那個奶蓋,酸酸的,是酸奶嗎?哦,真的完全不合我口味囉!所以,這個店,我短期內應該也不會再來吧。挺可惜的,因為他們的抹茶真的挺香…Read More
