琉球(宜家嘅沖繩、奄美諸島) 曾經係中國嘅屬國,又試過由美國管理,加上地理同貿易歷史,所以融入左中國、東南亞以至美國飲食嘅影響,同日本料理有好大嘅唔同。呢間新開嘅 Awa Awa 主打沖繩料理,fish taco魚肉尚算新鮮,但係個tortilla係炸咗脆身嘅,食落有啲奇怪、格格不入。佢哋嘅Kakiage就有啲似炸咗嘅海鮮pancake,平平無奇,比較失望。Taco rice 入面蕃茄椰菜等配料,食落就係一個burrito bowl咁。雖然成餐飯都冇乜特別,但係如果想試吓特別啲嘅輕食,都可以去飲杯嘢食啲小食嘅。⁣⁣This newly opened restaurant Awa Awa featured a rare cuisine in Hong Kong: Okinawan cuisine (a.k.a Ryūkyūan cuisine). Due to differences in culture, historical contact between other regions, climate, vegetables and other ingredients, Okinawan cuisine differs from mainland Japanese cuisine. 呢間前身叫Black Salt嘅小店,以前都係主打印法Fusion菜,座位好小,坐就一定唔會舒服,比較逼夾,不過嘢食水準都唔錯。轉咗手之後試吓,發現無咗brunch menu,只可以a la carte。Avocado Mess牛油果醬加上鷹嘴豆等配料,尚算清新開胃。Stuffed Calamari食落就係魷魚包免治豬肉,發揮正常。Slow Cooked Lamb Hindshank就真心唔太掂,首先肉質非常乾柴,而且醬汁死咸,原全食唔到羊肉味,再加上本身已經好咸嘅corned rump,原全只係得但咸字。同以前Black Salt比,水準實在差太遠,伏!This tiny restaurant was called Black Salt before. Despite the packed and uncomfortable sitting, the brunch was quite nice. As my first time trying out the brunch at Pondi, we were informed that the brunch menu was no longer being served - hence, we could only order the a la carte menu. The avocado mess and stuffed calamari were okay - without any wow factors. The slow-cooked lamb hindshank was a huge disappointment: the lamb it self was extremely dry and tough.
