Seeing that many people had ranked Hemma's cakes the No. 1 cakes in Hong Kong, we naturally came with very high expectations. We've read many reviews on Instagram and wanted to avoid the queue, so we came at 10:30 in the morning. However, seeing that we were already there, we just went in anyway.

The staff weren't particularly friendly, but they were efficient in cleaning up right after customers leave. You have to order on the first floor before going to the seating areas on the second and third floor. The second floor is quite aesthetic, and apparently the third floor has books for you to enjoy, but unfortunately we did not have time to visit the third floor.

We ordered the Vanilla Burnt Cheesecake and Lemon Burnt Cheesecake. The portion was smaller than expected and the flavor was also not as rich as we had hoped. Overall, the cakes are tasty, but have a far way to go from deserving the title of No. 1 Cakes in Hong Kong.

The drinks we had to order were nothing special either. Just Taiwan Four Season Oolong Tea and Osmanthus Tea. On the bright side, it balanced the sweetness of the cake.

In conclusion, we were quite disappointed. To be completely honest, I think Tealosophy's Matcha Cheesecake and even Sushiro's Catalana are better than Hemma's cakes, but that is just my personal preference.
