I was a fan of Coco Thai in it's original Deep Water Bay location, but I won't be revisiting it at it's new location down the road (it has taken over from where Coco Cabana used to be).

The decor and comfort are set by the standard-issue benches from the Culture and Leisure Services dept.

It seems that the original chef has been moved to the Ap Lei Chau branch, and the new chef can't reproduce the basic's of the menu. The Thai Pomelo salad was a disaster, the lime soda at once too sweet and too bitter, the pineapple rice was plain...

And despite being empty, the service was completely lacklustre - about 15 minutes to even greet us, and then dishes arrived in dribs and drabs, with the final one taking over an hour to arrive.

So sad.
