To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. My British friend came visit Hong Kong last week and wishing to have something local. I brought her to this famous Cha Charn Tang. The queue was long but the waiting time was not as long as I expected, we only waited for around 15 minutes max.! I ordered a grilled pork chop spaghetti with tomato sauce. the sauce is the HK style tomato sauce which made me thought of the spaghetti my grandma always make me when I was young. My friend ordered the signature meal with macaroni, fried egg and a drink.

My friend ordered the signature meal with macaroni, fried egg and a drink. The milktea is superb and my friend said the fried egg is super yummy. She could not find similar fried egg in the UK haha. She said she will miss this place and defo will recommend others to come when visiting HK.
