Came here with a group of colleagues who recommended this place as serving awesome local cuisine. We ordered 5 dishes for 5 people and were very satisfied. First up was the sizzling pan black pepper pork knuckle. Great flavor, meat was very tender and slid off the bone easily!Next we got a soup-based melon and “fish swim bladder” dish. Next we got a soup-based melon and “fish swim bladder” dish. Trust me, it sounds a little out there, but it was a very pleasant surprise. The bladder had a velvety smooth texture to it but at the same time a delicious fish-oil scent reminiscent of cod-liver oil.

Third was a hotpot fried rice with preserved sausages. Fried at the table, the fragrant dish sizzled in front of you. Rice was very flavorful and slightly crispy from the hotpot. Definitely a must-try!

Fourth was an eel dish which is also one of my favorites. Texture of the eel wasn’t mushy, but rather a slight chewiness, which was evidence of its freshness. Paired with the black bean sauce and this made for a very scrumptious dish.

Lastly was the fried intestines, which although I’m sure is as unhealthy as it sounds, is definitely a guilty little pleasure of mine. Crispy exterior with a soft fatty interior, the kick of the flavor hits you the moment it enters your mouth. Could not stop eating this!
