My friend and I were looking forward to the afternoon tea booked through openrice (priced at $475).  We were seated quickly and  presented with a welcome drink! Shortly, scones with cream & jam, followed by the tea set were served.  Some items tasted pleasant but the other half were really below expectations.  The mini cones (with foie gras) were soft, and the (fruit) tarts were not fresh, especially the nutty one. Shortly, scones with cream & jam, followed by the tea set were served.  Some items tasted pleasant but the other half were really below expectations.  The mini cones (with foie gras) were soft, and the (fruit) tarts were not fresh, especially the nutty one. Although the shrimp was normal, the salad had a rather weird taste.  We were given two pieces of ordinary wrapped cova chocolates, nothing like the pralines that were in the advertised poster.  Not sure if this was due to the discount price we paid.  Overall, I would say this was a below expectation afternoon tea experience!
