No, they simply DO NOT understand the meaning of reservation. We wrote to reserve our seats nearly one month in advance to be placed at a corner table, hopefully quieter than the rest, for a special occasion to celebrate with our loved one.
Grassroots replied saying YES they WOULD arrange a corner seat for us. To our surprise, on the day the receptionist sat us down at the centre of the restaurant by the walkway to the loo, the busiest spot where the wait staff ran in and out with dishes. I thought we deserve a nicer table than any walk-ins would have gotten by making the reservation a month in advance for a special ocassion, I was clearly mistaken.
As Nelson, the manager/ the person who’s suppose to take care of the reservation, tried to understand the situation, all the effort he made was to excuse for the poor arrangement they had made, saying that all the corner tables were taken by other parties who arrived earlier than we did. OH YEAH? I sure saw that with my own eyes. HELLO? Isn’t it what reservation is meant to do – to keep just one table vacant until the expected guests arrive at the scheduled time? We weren’t even late at all!!

So, thanks for the first taste of grassroots and the unforgettably kind arrangement, we are probably not coming back.
