To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 原本滿心歡喜去到本酒樓聚餐但服務及質素真令我地大大失望。1)我哋12位到場安排左一張十人左右坐嘅檯,旁邊有一張比較大啲嘅枱,我哋換咗隔離枱但女經理態度唔太情願。2)我哋點嘅套餐有隻乳豬全體,因為廚房嘅失誤烤燶咗乳豬尾部,令到全體不是全體依然隨便上菜,揾左酒樓經理,經理話廚房烤燶咗所以掉咗尾部,但係咁樣要顧客硬食~要求更換,不夠10分鐘隨便斬了碎件又再上枱~最後更換了燒鵝。原本想食嘅乳豬都要改變食燒鵝,咁個餐唔好畀我哋有得揀啦!3)第一次去間酒樓飲套餐湯或者湯羹係直接喺廚房拎一碗碗出嚟而唔係一大碗係客人面前裝。4)我哋同經理講要求慢慢上菜,因為檯面嘅餸菜仲未食完,出啲菜比較急,但個經理就直頭幫我哋叫停咗啲餸菜。究竟係我哋中文有問題定係經理解能力有問題!
