Restaurant: The Chinese Library

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 呢間中菜館環境非常之好,私隱度夠高。服務方面,侍應都好快手,好細心,會留意番小朋友飲食習慣,都會幫手主動斟茶,不過漏單嘅情況都幾嚴重。點左五樣嘢嚟咗三樣,價錢都比較貴(水平都在中環價錢之上)不過整體嘢食尚算一般以上而已。只有櫻花蝦豉油拌麵較好,其他例如叉燒包、千層糕表現就不過不失。粟米雞肉海皇羹有少少稀。蒜蓉炒時蔬,我就嫌啲油比較多。不過有個芥末凍肉,嗰種嘅芥辣味啱啱好唔太辣。整體來講如果嗰個地方係消磨時間嘅話係真係幾好。

很可惜晚餐沒有點心,點了tasting menu,每位998外加10%服務費,覺得有一點點overpriced。整體味道算OK,服務也算體貼。其實只要是為了餐廳打卡,裝修非常有特色,下次想試一下中餐的點心。

大館內幾間食肆,都以西式或酒吧最受歡迎 有人甚至不知道有間中餐廳。趁dinning week,訂了Chinese library 來慶生。既在百年古蹟內,裝修典雅大方,佈置精緻。可惜窗邊位置配了高背椅,而椅子是向食肆內,露台給旁邊的酒吧用 ,看不見晚上大館的景色。食物精緻,當然份量就好的骰,三款湯以蟹肉冬茸羹最好,香酥牛肋香口得來有牛味,蝦球1隻都算爽口,蒽椒紫淮山面蒽香濃郁,上枱時捲得象蘿蔔絲酥,拆開來只有一著。甜品石榴冰粉絕對有驚喜。其他食物一般的不說了。慇懃服務絕對是加分,介紹菜色,一段時間來模模茶壼夠不夠熱,用不用加水,去洗手間時見我腳有不適而燈光較暗,替我帶路拉門。上甜品時送上服務員簽名的生日咭,主動替我們拍照,還替我們印出來,結賬離開時再說再見與生日快樂。都是好窩心的。全晚都好滿意,只是不明為何中式食肆是播放一些比較節奏強勁的英文歌,所以說話要大聲点。

say no more cause who wouldn’t want unlimited dim sum and free flow alcohol with a flick of your hand 🙈 honestly I had such a great time here - the food was pretty good quality (and a hella lot of it) and you just pencil everything you wanna nom (the only way to order dim sum). It was just delicious and well the alcohol was more than drinkable, so really wanted cheers to that 🥂

餐點很精緻,服務很貼心,在大館的the Chinese Library,在優雅的環境下,品味中菜,不管是家庭聚餐還是朋友相聚,是讓人想要一再光顧的好餐廳。港式點心之外,中菜更是讓人眼睛一亮,油蔥脆皮雞讓人異常驚艷,皮酥肉多汁,讓人一吃還想再吃。和牛炒飯、湯品和鮮魚湯烏冬表現都在水準之上,大人小孩都叫好!唯一美中不足的地方是,許多餐點都帶有辣味,如:黑椒和牛酥、拉撒小籠包都帶有辣味,讓小孩無法放心品嚐,很可惜。
