VELVET Bar + Restaurant (Closed)

童年時候，最喜歡吃的不是朱古力，而是軟糖，可樂瓶及七彩繽紛的果汁味熊仔糖就最常吃。最近，Velvet的調酒師就用了各款雞尾酒來製成軟糖，其中兩款更是配合復活節而推出的朱古力小兔Drunk Chocolate Bunnies及Easter Egg Jelly Shot復活蛋雞髭酒啫喱，造型可愛趣緻。另外還有常見的Long Island Coke及Mojito Bear。別看它們外表跟普通軟糖無疑，其實含酒量不少，多吃一點也會令人有點醉意。第一次來Velvet，感覺比一般酒吧舒服。而且更有私人房間，更有卡拉OK，歌曲比很多外邊的大型卡拉OK店更多更新，一班人來聚會開派對很不錯。點了一杯雞尾酒來喝，Sweet Summer，$80，淡黃色的酒由青瓜、菠蘿、紫蘇葉及Margarita調製成，味道清甜，酒味不會太強烈。另外調酒師也特意為我們做了Rainbow Road，對於沖製這彩虹的過程都不會太陌生，因為之前在Sugar也看過了一次。從一個調酒器連續倒出十二杯酒，顏色就像彩虹般由藍漸變成紅，過程看似簡單，但速度的掌握也很重要。除了喝酒，也來了吃午餐，價錢$88起，主菜我就點了Squid Ink

老實說，灣仔食肆多籮籮，但要找一間環境舒服，有 private room 搞派對，食物又對辦的也不是易事。第一次來到上樓餐廳「Velvet」，它有私人房間及卡拉OK，又有飛標玩，重點是客路完全不雜，逢星期四更有「金融才俊之夜」，女士免費入場，我是否也要來撐一撐場呢？是日其中一個亮點是啫、喱、軟、糖！莫見它色彩繽紛，以為它是一般果汁軟糖，它們全部都是「Velvet」調酒師用不同雞尾酒來製的軟糖：有為配合復活節而推出的「復活蛋雞髭酒啫喱」及「朱古力小兔」，還有用 Long Island 做的「可樂瓶」及用 Mojito 做的「熊仔糖」，造型可愛，含酒量卻不輕，吃多了真的會令人有點醉意！入正餐，先來個「粟米湯」，粟米蓉是多得非常誇張，喝了 (或可稱「吃」了) 已可半飽。「Crab Meat Risotto Cooked in Crustacean Biaque」$148蟹肉味是超濃郁，不論蟹肉及蟹汁也下得很足。啖啖也吃得出蟹的鮮味及精華，飯粒也沒有煮得過腍，蟹癡必選。「Squid Ink Tagilatelle Carbonara with Pancetta & Poached Egg」$1

同事介紹下試了一間樓上酒吧餐廳，餐廳名叫Velvet，頓時想起紫色Violet，電梯門打開後，發現餐廳色調確以紫色為主，未知是故意還是巧合？！相比一般餐廳，此店座位擺設寬敞舒適，加上人客還不算多，用餐環境佳，宜三兩知已閒聚聊天。午市時段有約＋款午餐供選擇，$88+10%起，連餐湯甜品餐飲，計及環境，取價都算公道。是日餐湯是薯仔忌廉湯，湯底濃稠，薯香撲鼻，相信薯仔份量不少。主菜慢煮牛頰肉配薯蓉，牛頰肉腍度適中，牛味重，並帶少許膠質，配上紅酒汁，份外入味。甜品朱古力慕絲蛋糕，甜度適中，朱古力份量調較亦頗為不錯。還是覺得膩吧，來一口雜莓，酸溜感覺頓時煥醒味蕾，其實有條件多試其他甜品！

We found this place for our friend's birthday. Environment here is very stylish yet cozy. The seats are spacious and comfortable, and plenty of room to run around and play at their beer pong table/dart boards in the center. 同事生日,上OPENRICE睇這間全是哈哈笑~裝修又華麗所以到此一試環境超靚,坐得很舒服,地方十分闊落LUNCH SET 只有ABC餐,選擇少,沒有扒,點了牛肉飯興此餐廳有點格格不入,不過味道真的不錯,牛肉很淋,有少少辣,都幾好味,我點了磨菇意大利飯都幾漏,飯心有點點硬,可能是正宗的煮法吧,份量偏小,女仔食剛好,甜品十分精緻,外層是薄脆,包住吉士不是太甜我不太喜歡食吉士,但都食得晒,一件是生果,一件是朱古力朱古力很香濃,應該係偏向Dark chocolate .吃了2件也不會覺得漏~美味甜品為今餐更添完美~

還未知雖是此餐的攪手, 不過真的令我有一個難忘的生日夜,亦是我最後一年單身生日夜.來到的時候才知道朋友為我予訂了枱子, 座位是寬闊而舒服的SOFA, 每枱之間私人空間非常充足, 柔和的燈光令大家緊張心情完成放鬆. 在餐廳中間放了一張桌球枱子(朋友們之後在玩PING PONG 球...不過跟其他客人玩在一起了)旁邊有幾枱好像射靶機.原來經理Victor 及老板阿Mat 替我已準備餐單, 真的好窩心~頭盤:青蒜薯仔湯 - 外面的湯都會加大量CREAM 從而令客人只感到滑溜, 但Velvet 的吃到有蒜味而啖啖薯仔蓉又感覺不到奶/cream而且是不"結"的, 很快我地5位都清晒!鴨肉卷- 外面層皮軟綿綿咬下去,鴨肉很香點心 - 原來外層包左燒賣皮用火燒至微焦黃,塗上蜜糖,內裡是實肉魚旦, 簡單至超好味 主菜:黑白迷你漢堡包跟薯條 - 是老板Mat 的至愛食品, 女孩子都可以3啖食晒, 肉很香又多汁, 麵包用上兩種,微微焗了夾入材料. 墨汁煙肉卡邦妮溫泉蛋長麵條 - 蛋汁流出來真的想啜掉它, 長麵條跟墨汁很香煙肉碎又脆口龍蝦長通粉 - 比較其他主菜,雖然龍蝦汁很濃但都已經比下去了墨西哥燜辣牛

Heard about this place from a friend who said it was worth checking out. Stopped by around 8:30pm for some dinner and drinks. Definitely a great vibe and a nice classy venue. It's a nice big open space with a lot going on like karaoke, beer pong, darts, etc. At the very least fun to people watch. Tried the black and white burgers and the salmon spaghetti. Velvet is a great place and the food is awesome.I went there with a couple of friends for lunch. Lunch menu includes salad, soup, pasta, dessert and coffee/tea (which cost only $88).I tried the angel hair with tomato and meat sauce, it was pretty tasty. My friend liked the chocolate cake a lot even he is not a big fan for dessert. The cake was very soft and the sweetness was just right for us.All in all, cool interior, delicious food, awesome drinks and fun staff, two thumbs up!

朋友知我鐘意試新野 介紹左依間推崇Eat Drink Play既新餐廳尋晚上同男朋友上去試下 結果令我地好滿意;pVelvet 內部裝修好靚，用左好多紫色元素，感覺都幾grand佢仲有一個area係畀人玩飛標啦，beer pong啦， 都好似幾得意一坐底經理好熱情咁介紹我地食招牌黑白和牛漢堡，仲叫左三文魚天使麵伴魚子醬，經理亦推介只此一家既Kagua啤酒首先講下個黑白漢堡，不得了！Juicy 到不得了！ 塊漢堡扒入面釀左黑白松露，呢個combination簡直perfect （另外佢個薯條真係好好味，停唔到口！）三文魚天使麵味道不錯，魚子醬加埋個sauce大滿足！Kagua啤酒係用紅酒白酒杯裝，飲落果味都幾重，幾岩女士們飲。臨走前見到有model 係度借場影緊相，個女仔都幾靚下嘻嘻 呢個環境幾岩聚會同chill out，service也不錯，會再黎試下其他菜式;p

試了這間樓上酒吧的午餐。到達之後直至自己找位置坐下也沒有人招呼。座位沒有餐牌，等了幾分鐘之後才叫了個意大利飯。味道普通可能因為是一間酒吧的關係吧。樓上吧來說比附近的貴。味道也比其他西餐廳差，份量不夠男士。最後結帳更沒找錢，已經趕時間還要跟我爭論。態度不佳。不愉快。Visited an upstairs bar and tried its lunch.No waiters were there when I arrived.No menu on the table and no one served us.Waited for several minutes finally ordered a set lunch which is fair.The main dish is risotto.Since it is a bar not a restaurant ,the quality of food is fair and the price is unreasonable and quite expensive.Other famous restaurants serve better

Checked out this newly opened Wanchai restaurant after picking up the promotional flyers As I was on a diet, i promptly ordered the healthiest dish available. Panfried Salmon ! It was tastefully done as it was grilled nicely on the outside but moist in the inside. There was also a generous helping of greens on the bottom to ensure diners had a balance diet. I will definitely be back again to have some Happy Hour drinks

Originally plan to go 2/F Phoenix Building - Forest Bar to have the lunch but it's full. Then find this newly opened Velvet bar+restaurant on 3/F Phoenix. Just try it but it's out of my expectation.The set lunch menu is very reasonable price in Wanchai area. 在灣仔附近上班，朋友介紹有間新的酒吧餐廳開了，就在我公司附近，理所當然跟他去了走一趙。星期五6點多上到去，已經有不少人在，在灣仔區氣氛算是不錯。找過位置坐下，WAITER 馬上派上MENU, 叫了兩杯STELLA啤酒，夠凍。本來不打算吃東西，但朋友說餓了，那就叫了幾份SNACK 食下，這裡的SNACK 都幾特別，有少少SPANISH TAPAS STYLE，真係估佢唔到。朋友叫了個BABY RIBS , HALIBUT 魚； BABY RIBS 附上泰式醬，甜甜辣辣，送酒一流。 另外個HALIBUT 魚就超付我的預計，做得好好， 魚上有點GARLIC，帶出好鮮味。 吃了兩道有點意猶未盡，朋友說不如就在這晚餐吧。主菜叫了個ANGEL HAIR PASTA, 真估不到是一間BAR FOOD 所提供，感覺好像去了一間高級意大利餐廳一樣，PASTA 味道夠，彈牙，份量恰到好處，剛飽。餐廳MANAGER 過來介紹甜品，盡管一試，CHOCOLATE mousse 味道夠濃, 正。本來是去飲一杯HAPPY HOUR, 最後晚餐加甜品都在這解決了。坐了3小時，算是很舒服的環境。

Velvet is a very unlikely find in the district and is definitely a good change if you are looking for a relaxing place to hang out without wandering out of Wanchai district. Its nestled on the second floor above Joe Bananas, a nice place to chill out and have a few after work beers. The relaxed ambience and spaced out seating arrangement makes it great for groups, and while waiting for the late arrivals, get hooked on their new electronic dart boards and challenge the rest when they get in!The

I had a rough day at work and decided to head back to my new found hang out , The Velvet Bar & Restaurant , for some Happy Hour drinks. For those who drink, definitely do ask for the shots and cocktails menu. They have a good variety here and the shots are not only good, but ordering them is a fun experience.
