The restaurant also features new lantern installations that bring the old restaurant’s famous focal points into the 21st century. At lunch, the restaurant is bright thanks to the abundance of natural light; but at all times of day, the restaurant offers a sense of discretion with plenty of partitions and separated dining areas.

The Man Wah Set Lunch Menu 🍴 starts with three signature dim-sums. 1️⃣ The Siu mai with spotted grouper🐟: The Siu mai uses fresh ingredient and steamed spotted grouper which lends the dish much refinement and umami😋. 2️⃣ Black truffle Mushroom dumpling🍄: A well-made dumpling with a soft and thin skin that carries a good amount of mushroom filling, creating a bursting with the sweetness of ingredient🍬. The balanced proportion is also worth praising. 3️⃣ Chicken tart with whole abalone: the tart carries diced chicken, providing a delicious backdrop to the succulent abalone.

Highlight of the menu is the stir-fried prawn 🦐 with dried chilli🌶. It is highly recommended for seafood lovers. You could enjoy the best tender and juicy prawns stir-fried in a sweet, spicy, chili sauce.

The fried mixed rice with egg white and Chaozhou style preserved vegetables is lovely too. The vegetable has a nice sweetness to the savoury fried rice, which I found to be quite an apt combination.

The lunch set ends perfectly with the Ginkgo nuts, beancurd sweet soup and the Chinese petits fours.

今天和朋友來到中環文華東方酒店的文華廳,試吃了午市套餐,由頭盤到甜品,都充分體現水準。頭盤中最驚豔的反而是小青瓜,酸甜適中,刺激食慾,為之後的主菜鋪路;燉湯火候十足,靈芝帶甘但不會過苦,喝完感覺非常補身子;花膠配上濃湯,膠質沒有流失,湯的口感豐厚,不知不覺就吃完,湯也不剩;最讚的是蒸魚,陳村粉吸收魚的鮮味和冬菜的野味,每一口都是精華;最後的甜品配合乾冰戲劇化登場,無花果西米露非常獨特。優雅的環境加上出色的菜餚,實在是難忘的體驗。
