久仰大名,聽講話佢賣完就好早收檔,平時返工食唔到,趁放假去試下佢的牛根魚蛋河。入到去都係好舊式的裝潢,心想老字號一定有返咁上下先企得住腳咁多年。落單後5分鐘左右有得食,但一見碗湯,稀稀的,就覺得係味精水咁。首先試下魚蛋,還可以,無人地的評語講到咁彈牙,叫做正常,但唔會令人有好深刻的印像囉。除左牛根好軟同好入味之外,佢的辣椒油都叫夠辣,但唔香,可以話佢的食物無咩特別,無叫飲品收$47!榮記好食好多,權記$27蚊碗都抵過佢....失望

土生土長大埔人應該無咩人會唔識蔡潤記因為中學時在大埔墟附近返學所以每日都會行出大埔墟或者火車站搵食魚蛋粉係其中一款常常食既野因為夠平學生仲有汽水飲添讀左大學開始反而無咩點留係大埔食肆都變左好多但蔡潤記都仲係到今日係專登行出大埔墟就係想食返中學既味道行入門口基本上餐牌都唔洗睇直接就叫左碗牛腩河加魚皮其實好奢侈細個個陣唔會加魚皮呀叔好熟練地落單紙都唔洗寫湯底仍然濃郁河粉唔會爛霉霉牛腩入味成碗粉都係精神的你話佢係最好食又唔係就是一種歷久不衰的味道

The slices were a lot better, has more fish flavour and much less salty. Very small serving when considering the price. Beef brisket was ok, again a bit heavy on the salt. Overall it was an ok meal, guess I’m just a bit disappointed because it’s meant to be famous and all I got was average...

天氣熱,午餐唔想吃飯,提議吃粉麵,貪佢有湯容易入口,於是同事又話帶我去試新嘢。她說這間「蔡潤記」是大埔無人不識的店舖,有新舊兩間,今天我們去的是東昌街舊舖。門口右邊是煮粉麵的位置,有兩個人分工合作,頗有默契,裏面陳設簡單,放有十張左右的圓枱,有大有細,亦有不少客人。我們找了一張大枱坐下,看到牆上的餐牌,發現除了魚蛋牛腩這些大路食物外,還有粉腸,平時吃牛雜就最怕大腸d肥膏,所以每次都叫「走腸」,但粉腸就唔同,一定要試,於是點了「牛腩粉腸河」,此外同事還點了「淨蛋片」和「魚皮」一齊share,話叫我一定要試。「牛腩粉腸河」河粉幼滑,湯底濃郁,有牛肉味,但略為偏鹹,不過伴著本身無乜味的河粉來吃,味道亦可,也不會感到口渴。牛腩非常入味,肉質鬆軟,粉腸我最欣賞,清洗乾淨無異味,應該頗新鮮,咬落軟腍得來又有口感,值得推介。魚蛋比一般潮州魚蛋細粒,食落彈牙,魚味濃,沒有腥味,雖然間中有點碎骨,但完全唔會影響繼續食的意欲,因為真係好味呀!魚皮的賣相也跟平日吃的不一樣,沾了粉,炸得很鬆脆,放落湯一段時間都唔會浸腍,仍是脆卜卜,而且味道與湯好夾,今餐簡直樣樣食物都係主角囉!同事無介紹錯,怪不得大埔無人不識
