Weekends are always family time. My parents and I went to Wanchai today because we need to shop for household item. As we walked through Lockhart Road, we saw a bar restaurant which mainly sells American burger. Since Dad is a burger lover, we chose to have lunch here without doubt..Burger joys mainly focuses on burger, however it has a bar setting. It probably serve wines at night. We ordered three snacks in total: melted cheese fries, classic buffalo wings and battered onion rings. None of them were disappointing. I love cheese fries the best because it had a generous portion of cheesy sauce on top. Cheese lovers must find it craving. The wings and onions rings were good too. The hot sauce on the wings stimulated my appetite. It was rich but not too spicy. There were some raw veggies to be served with. They were interestingly refreshing. The onion rings were crispy.

There is always a reason why certain dish is the signature of a restaurant. We ordered a signature double cheese burger. Dad, as a burger expert, speaks very highly of it.The meat to fat ratio of the thick beef was just right. It is tender and juicy. The special sauce with a little spice was delicious when it was mixed with cheese. Burger chains can never catch up with its standard.

For drinks, mum and I shared a mocktail, perfect for us since we don't drink alcohol. It had a funny name, "virgin sex on the beach". It turned out to be a mixture of peach, orange and cranberry juice. Nice combination!I especially liked it because it got some fruity flesh inside. Dad drank an ice-float. It was like those "black cow" served in Hong Kong style cafe, cha chaan tang. Yet coke was replaced with beer.

What a great meal! It was worth the price. Burger Joys served the best burger I have ever eaten.
