Given 3 stars for service as we had to call for the waitress to take our orders like in a cha chan teng, despite already putting aside the menu and waited for a while. Otherwise they had decent service with a smile the rest of the night. One thing to note is they have a very trimmed down menu for food (4 pages), wine (2 pages) and dessert (1 page). Expect less selection with a larger focus on beef and steaks, even as compared to other Wooloomooloos (e.g. no pizza and only one pasta selection here

Came here mainly for the beef wellington and it hit the spot despite the crust being a bit soggy (but held itself without breaking apart). Looks a bit dry in the photo as I had to order medium well for the missus, but the addition of mushroom duxelle and foei gras makes it still flavourfull and juicy.
The prawn & scallop linguine didn't disappoint either. Loved the breadcrumb garnish in the pasta.
The french fries were exquisite with perfect crunchyness and moisture balance, and it was served in a large portion. However the grilled asparagus disappointed as it tasted and looked more steamed than grilled. The accompanying hollandaise sauce doesn't go well with the asparagus IMHO.
Paired the meal with a glass of Penfold's Shiraz Carbenet, which went well as the wine doesn't clash with the food flavours.
Ordered apple crumble for dessert and it was the highlight of the night. Took a bit of time to prepare, but the wait was worth it. The dessert had a pleasant biscuit on top with a non too sweet apple filling, paired with creamy consistent vanilla gelato and custard sauce and it was a pleasant experience.
Expensive night out but a memorable one which is what matters.
