First of all I love Mexican food!! It was girls night out~ made a reservation but it wasn't necessary on a week night. We got a few things, the Caramba Nachos were so good! It's loaded with all kinds of yummy goodness! The portion is huge!! I especially love their guacamole~Another great dish I was surprised by was their enchiladas! It's rich and saucy and delicious! Next up the soft tacos and some rice dish (which I forgot the name of), they were good too, but nothing too special. Cocktails are nice too, on a par with the SOHO area location.

I have always wanted to try the Mexican buffet at I Caramba! but it is only available during weekday lunches. It costs $88 per person with refillable drinks such as lemon tea.I went on a Monday and surprisingly the restaurant was almost full before 1pm.The selection was quite good, they had my favourite refried beans, black beans, guacamole and sour cream. The refried beans were a bit sweet and it tasted like baked beans, the black beans were a bit hard, and the guacamole was the best because it was light and tangy

I came back to this place after a longer pause, it has been almost two years. The service is friendly and quick. I had no special memories of the food from two years ago, but I remembered it was 'ok'. This time we ordered Chili Nachos and then a Combo Fajita, together with some beers. The Chili Nachos were acceptable, they came in a big portion, with pieces of juicy beef and a load of cheese on top. But the Fajita (we opted for Salmon and Chicken) was really discusting. The chicken tasted like plastic and I wondered if it was chicken at all or just some flavoured pressed tofu substitute. The salmon came in little crumbling pieces which looked like pieces left over after cutting sushi. All of that had a weirdly mysterious taste of too many spices mixed together.I don't understand how someone can call this the 'best mexican restaurant in Hong Kong' if this is the case then I feel trully sorry for Hong Kong. But it is not a place to stay away completely either. You can stuff yourself for quite a reasonable price, that's the good point. My lesson learnt from this time: Stay away from the Fajitas or anything else with Chicken in it.
