I've been to Sevva a few times already and so far its one of my fav restaurants in hk. I don't know why so many people are giving Sevva such negative comments but I personally just love it in general...the atmosphere is great, the food there are YUM, the service is definitely not as bad as most people said it it...Also, I don't really understand why people dislike the food there. Probably you guys should have tried their western menu instead of the asian ones, at least, that was what ive always had tongue The Champagne Sauce with truffles and Prawns Pasta is the best!!! Oh and don't forget to try their crunch cake. It's not about the sponginess of the cake but it's about the cream that's spread-ed all over the cake. tongue

因為朋友生日, 見到呢度high tea食物既相好靚, 所以同咗佢黎咗呢度食high tea. 我同朋友坐咗出面既露天梳化. 環境好靚同埋好舒服. 佢地既食物亦好食. high tea set有春卷、雞肉撻、載住菇既米通、三文魚多士、露筍卷、雞肉卷、 楓糖合桃撻、招牌crunch cake、cheesecake、朱古力旦糕、蛋卷條. 野飲我地叫咗latte同埋奶茶, 但佢地既野飲就麻麻.

不過, 呢間野既服務就真係好差. 首先, 黎到個時serve我地個個男侍應目口目面. 佢比咗個high tea menu同drink menu我地. 但係我地想睇埋其他食物既menu. 初初同佢講佢完全擺出一個唔知我地up咩既樣. 佢get到之後, 佢完冇咗回事, 冇攞比我地. 唔係我地再催佢都唔比.

我地去到坐低冇耐, d侍應就响我地個位前面set一個水吧. 放咗一大個櫃响我地前面. 個櫃後面有塊大鏡, 唔計話阻咗我地個景, 如果食野既話, 係直頭照住你, 一路對住塊鏡一路食, 個感覺唔係好舒服. 佢地個high tea 2:30 開始, 我地個陣三點前好早已到. 所以好多位. 我地同一個好短頭髮, 戴眼鏡既女侍應講, 想調前一張台. 個女侍應個樣係好唔鐘意咁. 然後就話叫同事幫我地調. 佢走咗去set緊水吧個度, 同個男侍應講我地要調台. 响我地面前討論完一論後 (唔知點解要調位都要討論, 好似响我地面前講我地壞話咁), 個女既就走咗. 我地等咗好耐都冇人理. 之後食物上埋. d野食就响度吹住(因為室外大風). 咁我地又繼續等. 諗住調坐位先開始食. 等下等下都十分鐘. 個女侍應冇再返黎呢個area. 我地想找佢follow up都唔得. 於是就叫咗啱啱同佢相量個個男侍應. 點知個男既話我地想調個張台係人地book咗. 而且而家好full冇位調 (我見唔到好full). 我地好嬲. 一來係如果真係咁既情況, 個女侍應應該一早知, 佢應該同我地講聲. 我地就唔駛on 居居咁等. 又或者提議我地調第二張. 二來係, high tea講明係冇得book台既. 我地係最早去到露天area. 帶位個個同我地講我地可以坐邊都得. 即係根本冇人book台, 亦冇台係唔坐得.

真係唔明點解間包裝到咁高級既餐廳, d 服務係咁差. 去完sevva幾日後, 我send咗封投訴信去佢地個度. 但係隔咗成三個星期都冇人覆. 所以我決定响呢度寫comment. 話比大家聽, 去呢間餐廳只可以對食物有期望, 但千期唔好對服務都有期望, 或者抱住心態係, 佢點對你都好, 是但拉, 佢地係咁. 服務咁差, 下次都未必會再去.

聽過2個友人都話個景好掂,呢排比較納悶............所以oct 30, 09嚟坐吓, 佢哋嘅cake都出名,但嗰時都仲幾飽吓........所以無謂浪費,叫drink算啦 :

1) rejuvenating (hk$120)
-材料有薄荷,西瓜汁,檸檬汁同lemonade
-綜合出嚟嘅味道估唔到咁清新和醒神,幾吸引,薄荷味沒有多少,只喺用嚟裝飾為主
-如果唔喺想慢慢坐,1定會比我幾啖飲晒
-伴以mixed nuts和薯片

2) supermodel (hk$120)
-材料有薑汁,西柚汁,檸檬汁,梳打水同蜜糖
-呢個明顯比薑汁味搶晒,少辣意中甜意也重
-咁都喺比較喜歡第1杯嘅清新

* 露台環境.........原來都好好風,坐得耐都有涼意

來之前對食物期望不高 (比蔡欄節目果種每碟餸都落個 price tag 玩爛的, 牛肉麵二百蚊, so what?)
另外在 Openrice 又見咁多人彈佢地既 Service......就懷著預左食景既心態。
中秋食餐好再到 open area 飲酒賞月, 確係岩既節目嘛

結果是滿意的!!!!

預早幾日打電話訂位, 完全無胡同果種 "到時有就比你啦" 咁既惡劣態度。
早一日打電話來 re-confirm, 禮貌還是很好。

到了餐廳, 雖然不是窗口位, 但景觀還不錯。
旁邊一張枱的客人要求掉位, 他們都很喜意安排。
查詢餐牌, 打介食物, 都是態度好、有耐性的。
我們只叫一個頭盤, 待應就主動提出幫我們分開兩份上。
分別點了 盧魚帶子 和 酥皮局豬面肉, 待應都自動自覺幫我們分兩份。
而且係分開兩個細盅, 兩個細既酥皮分開焗。盧魚帶子上碟都分得好靚。
十分十分好!

吃完飯, 要求出去露天位飲野, 安排順利。
首先是埋邊位, 但過一陣靠外邊位有人走, 亦主動幫我地掉。
岩岩有兩個外個人想走埋去要果張枱, 待應都請佢地要我地企緊果張枱。
十分十分十分好!

食物呢.....
老實講只有 酥皮局豬面肉 可以推介
頭盤 焗蟹蓋 , 南瓜湯 , 椰菜花容湯 , 另一個主菜 盧魚帶子, 甜品 咖啡啫喱, 都萛可以
推介的紅酒, 六百幾的, 易入口, 不錯 (sorry 我唔太識酒, 想不起名子)
兩個湯好重味精, 不合格!

been here for dinner twice. then a few more for drinks. dinner is just not worthed. 2nd time was better, food tasty, service passable but still nothing to write home about and just v expensive. drinks, don't bother ordering mixed drinks as their bar staff have no clue. just order wine by glass/bottle or beer.

wrote a review on this long time ago on another website based on my 1st dining experience at sevva. here it is:

we made a booking for 10pm dinner for 3 on a sat night. we were asked to wait outside, which was hot and humid. we waited and waited and every time we asked, the waiters said 5mins. finally we were not seated until 11pm! OK i admit others would probably have left before 11 but we had already opened a bottle of wine outside so we ended up finishing it before getting seated.

if you cannot seat a reservation within 5mins when you are supposedly a high class establishement charging ridiculous prices, you have completely FAILED. no excuses can be made for making your customers wait 1hour with a reservation. if you cannot seat us, then say so, we can go somewhere else, rather than lie repeatedly saying it will only be 5mins. and the waiters were not even apologetic and when we complained to the manager, all he could say was it was "out of his control" the previous diners took a long time. no apology, no complementary drink/dessert, nothing, but just kept rushing us to order as the kitchen was closing in 15mins.

and when we were finally seated we find half the tables in the section were empty and looked deserted for a long time. they seemed short handed probably because half the waiters were off duty by that time so they could not clear the tables fast enough nor serve us. i've dined in the hottest newest hyped places in New York, London and Paris, dining amongst the trumps or celebrities like de niro and NEVER have i experienced such appalling treatment. i'd rather stay home and make my own mac'n cheese and douse it with a bottle of white truffle oil from citysuper. much cheaper and much more enjoyable experience.

This birthday lunch made me feel very guilty as I did not know that it could be that expensive just to have a set lunch at Sevva.

We got there at 12:15pm and we sat on the only table occupied then until around 1pm. The environment is fabulous but the food is not good enough for the price. My main course is a fried beef which tastes quite similar with the pork chop offered by Maxims.

However, it is a lunch that we will not forget and so it is still worth for the money. Thank you, Ms A.

生日聚會最驚喜的一餐

很想很想去SEVVA, 可惜一值沒有朋友願意去,他們都說食物質素普通和over-priced。

多謝 Carmen 提議去。我真的很驚喜。星期六的High Tea,不設訂位, 我們2:40到達, 人不多, 我們選了很精緻漂亮的疏化,旁邊是落地玻璃窗,十分舒服。如果天氣不是那麼熱,一定要坐在外面的open-air 位置,一面聊天一面被柔風吹著,多舒服。

High Tea 是傳統的英式擺設(3層), 但食物則是mixed, 有中式也有西式, 也跟其他 high tea 一樣, 一人一份份量是太多了。需然醉翁之意不在酒, 但味道還真是不錯。

時間不到3:30, 差不多全店爆滿, 其間更是星光熠熠。

美中不足是侍應包括經理, 態度都惡劣沒有記性, 真是不配 Sevva 的格調! 所以我覺得 Sevva 還是比較適合 High Tea or Drinks. 不能想像 Dinner 遇到這些服務會有幾生氣。

上周六,獲 CHANEL 公關邀請,興另外7位bloggers在參觀旗艦店之後,到SEVVA共晉下午茶。假如我是香奈兒,我會喜歡到哪裡吃 Afternoon Tea 呢?答案當然是 SEVVA!我記得這裡是《珠光寶氣》的重要場景之一,陳豪跟黎姿常常在這裡共晉午膳。無印象?也難怪。

未到過 SEVVA 前,我曾懷疑,這會不會像 W hotel 或是 JIA hotel 的餐廳一樣,「得個樣」,其實好難吃的呢?就算這裡的 crunch cake 馳名,也不能單為它而來啊,那老公可以吃什麼呢。

聚會當日,CHANEL 公關在 "BANKSIDE" 那邊預訂了一張長檯,還設計了可以試到 SEVVA 所有著名小點的下午茶餐單。餐廳的裝置品味,活脫脫是《wallpaper》現實版。其他「懶hip」的餐廳不是金銀浮誇就是亂放假畫,有哪個老闆真會不惜工本到拍賣會bid幾幅名畫回來放到店裡?有哪個老闆會容許每三張淺紫絨布餐椅配一張深紅牛皮餐椅,打造質感與色調的對比?

滿滿的 3-Tier Tray。比起 China Tee Club、半島及 Four Seasons,這裡的食物算「大件」,太好了,比較抵飽嘛。

最上一層東南亞小點,我最愛那個其貌不揚的「蟹波」。內裡有近乎100%的蟹肉,像生拆蟹拑,足料,juicy。

中間一層有韓燒和牛漢堡、煙三文魚忌廉芝士鬆餅,以及草莓窩夫。韓燒和牛漢堡味道只會一般,廚子似乎是忽略了和牛多脂肪的特質,韓式燒汁也把和牛應有的香甜蓋過了,太浪費,旁邊的煙三文魚忌廉芝士鬆餅就好得多。

看來,簡單而紥實的食物,SEVVA 因敢於用好材料,做得較好。

甜點方面,除了 Chocolate Fudge Cake,其他我都有試。Crunch Cake 與美心的分別不太大(或者是我的舌頭遲鈍?),只是忌廉用上比較香濃的配方,吃第一口時甚至有點椰奶味。

薑味芝士蛋糕 Ginger Cheese Cake 倒有帶來驚喜,薑片被醃成入口即溶的薑糖,甜中有辣,辣得來爽,為軟而膩的芝士帶來清新感覺。

精美水果 Seasonal Fruit Platter。假如我是香奈兒,我一定不會吃整個的水果,也不會自己切,一定要別人替我切好一片片、切成一口大小,才願吃。(懂我的人會說,好一個胡說的藉口!)

碟子上的芒果成熟得剛剛有溏心出現,無筋,很香滑。覆盆子(?)也是好甜,我是個 berries lover(因為不用切!),差不多吃掉所有的莓。

最後一道特別出場的甜品,是瑪麗皇后的頭髮!

名為 "Marie Antoinette's Crave" 的特式蛋糕,上面的「頭髮」是棉花糖,下面是開心果海綿蛋糕配合玫瑰花瓣,還有覆盆子果肉在內,蛋白小甜餅在外。我是個咀裡說不吃甜,但吃到好吃的甜點時又不願停手,面對蛋糕一定口是心非的女子。吃這個時我沒有說話,只顧吃呀!

好喜歡廚子把最酸的覆盆子放在蛋糕夾層內,外甜內酸,裡外不一,不就是(部分)女人的特質嗎?

實在要再三多謝 CHANEL 公關重視本地 bloggers,為我們籌備了節目豐富又優雅的周末時光。下次,就相約在巴黎吧!

The first impression that it gave me when i walked into the place was as if it is for the upper end society. We walked past the sofa sections, pretty obvious that's the "high tea area".

The view was amazing looking out from the inside. A contempary setting yet delivering a chic atmosphere when you sit in the high celling restaurant.

Leather wrapped table immediately impressed me. Amongst the table were family friends of up to 6 people, who all ordered something to share as we were not very hungry. The menu was very rich as it contains something from every genre.

The highlight of the meal was the dessert, I'm sure everyone who goes there must have heard of their crunch cake. Being a specialty there our friend ordered one for my sister as a thank you gift. Taste good but a tad sweet. A wide selection of tea as well which was very appealing to me

Overall a very good impression with great service. Some people are sometimes too narrow-minded about the term service as they only concentrate on their attitude; but it also includes knowledge of the menu and their efficiency, which are both well equipped in this beautiful restaurant. Will definately return to check out the high tea.

雖然這裡的收費貴。

但始終 waiter d 英文水準都係一般。

最近見佢係新X離誌介紹百多元可以坐沙發係露台個度飲野其實唔係囉,聽講有 min. charge $5,000,唔知係咪真,不過就親眼見到有 2 個男人勁自自己坐左落去再被人趕走。

以呢度多有錢人黎既話,預左百幾蚊都係企位又熱,等到轉彎的鐵檯個 d 未有得坐一陳囉。沙發真係唔洗諗呢。

呢度 Kilkenny $90 加一,老蘭 $60 ....嗯,呢$30 就係買個 class 吧。

You know, this morning, I phoned up and like to book a table for Brunch. I am just asking what is the time frame for the Brunch.

The receptionist , Ms. Fung just give me the attitude Brunch is started at 11:30am to 3:30pm and with the Big Voice told me the price around HK$400 - HK$500

I am just asking the time frame not the price, I found it is rude to say something like that, in fact, HK$400 - HK$500 is not much, What's a BIG DEAL.

I think, I won't like to try this restaurant with someone with a BIG NOSE .. FOOD is important but Manner is another key factor to get the customers IN.

We went there for dinner last Friday.

Great environment. The place is very well designed, and very comfortable. And we could move out to the terrance for drinks and back to the dining area for food. The dining areas is quite spacious and not crowded. One can spend a whole evening there eating, drinking and chatting.

Excellent service. The staff were very friendly and not too formal. They made good suggestions about food and drinks. They were very attentive, refilling bread before we finished the first basket, and never left our cups empty.

Good food. Nice food, though not really outstanding. The cheek and tongue pie was very good. The salmon was cooked to perfection, though the portion was a bit too big for the ladies.

Overall it's a good dining experience and a nice place to spend a relaxing evening. Will definitely return.

We went for 'All Day Saturday Brunch' last Saturday with great expectation. Tasteful interior design, fantastic seaview should relax you before enjoying the meal. However, the service which accounts for the success disappointed us.

Two days before the brunch, the lady called for table confirmation and I was told since we ordered Saturday Brunch, there will be no A la Carte menu. Once I sat down, a menu was laid on the table. We were so confused and asked the waiter about the menu. He explained to us Brunch means meal between breakfast and lunch. Thank you very much, or otherwise we would not know what brunch means. We didn't say anything but to explain to him his colleague told us there will not be A la Carte menu, and what was it on the table. He replied that was brunch menu (??!!??). Okay, brunch menu. Then I asked him about the sparkling wine. He went off to check and replied there is no sparkling wine. I told him it was on the website. He went off again and came back telling me he just checked and no sparkling wine is on their webiste.

At this point, I was furious and asked him "so you suggest I went to the wrong website but found the right telephone number to book the table?". He stood there saying nothing.

We decided to stay to try out the food. Frankly the food is alright, not fantastic (considering the price we paid for). We have eaten better. The Asian food is actually fusion, which is a bit misleading. However, it doesn't matter whether the food was good or not as our mood was already spoiled.

I would not recommend this restaurant and would probably never return, not worth it!

一行3人來到, 我叫了bellini , 只是飲了幾口我的主菜便來.

1. 三文魚salad - 三文魚煮得比較熟, 所以無咩魚油, 不過菜很fresh, 都好食而且分量好大,其實2個人share都可以.
2. 大蝦pasta - 蝦很大隻及好爽口, pasta做到剛剛好.

朋友叫了粒粒salad及牛, 佢地說做得都幾好食. 食完後我地私自轉去sofa坐, waiter 都無話我地. except coffee有點難飲之外,黎度既食物,服務及環境都好好.

黎到傳聞中的太子大廈頂樓,為左呢個場合都特地穿得很淑女。

食飯自問真係覺得好貴,唔係幾捨得,但係飲野就 ok。我飲左 Lychee Mojito 。

其實同 LKF 價錢都差不多,貴少少咁,但係就真係買個 view 囉。

晚上11 點多黎到 terrace,d seats 都 full 晒,聽講係入面食野的話,可以優先係 terrace reserve seats for drinking。

起初真係好熱,三月都咁,好難想象夏天會點,但係坐坐下凌晨1、2 點既時候開始涼左好多。

個 view 都好靚,不過肯定唔能夠睇晒煙花,因為其實佢係斜斜地睇維港景。

最後 settled down 有位坐。小食好似係 Lay's chips,不過好似有 d 淋左....

個 waiter 落單的時候好似唔太熟 drink lists 裡面所有 drinks,同埋英文程度無想象的好,發音都很港式英文。

不過服務態度 excellent!lol

臨走前經過邊度都有 greetings。
