Met boyfriend and his mother for lunch near his home. He decided to take me to his favorite restaurant in his residential area. The soup of the day was quite good. I noted they had a fig in it. A rarity in the daily soup.

Pork Chop and Curry with Rice ($55). The pork chop was fried really well. Moist and not dried out. The coating was light and seasoned well.  The curry, though a bit spicier than usual, had a rich coconut milk flavor.

Chicken Steak Lo Mein ($46). The chicken steak was moist and tender.  The chicken appeared to be marinaded with a light marinade before pan frying it so it was well seasoned. The noodles were well coated with the same marinade and wasn't too salty.  They gave a plate of fish sauce, I think for dipping the chicken in? Unsure.

Hainan Chicken Rice ($64). The chicken was moist and tender though I've had more fragrant Hainan chicken elsewhere. Though the rice was really good. Not too oily yet rich with the flavor the chicken fat added in.

Overall, for a small residential area mall, this was pretty good food at a reasonable price.  It is no wonder boyfriend considers this his regular haunt.
