Bacaba (tko) Love eating by the sea 🌊- there’s smth about it you just can’t resist and this restaurant located in o’south tko is one of the best in the area! They serve the best chicken kebab 🐓I’ve ever had! Definitely a must try! We chose the mint, bbq and garlic mayo sauce which surprisingly went really well tgt🤤 The carbonara was a great value considering the portion size. Recommend if you’re going with a guy😂🫣 The blue swimmer linguini was tasty and fresh. Loved the Al dente texture of the pasta! 🍝 Best place for a chill girls night 🥂💕

Dinner at Chicago Bar And Restaurant! a chill bar/resto vibe with nice music. Their menu consist of a lot of skewers , in which we try as follows: Beef tongue wagyu The beef tongue is surprisingly really tender! it also has a lot flavour which makes it really good! one of the best dish of the night for me A5 wagyu white breast its crispy and have a strong umami flavour! its like chicken skin but from beef which is really good! Charcoal Beef steak rice We also ordered the beef steak rice, the steak is tender and it really fits well to be eaten together with rice! Miyazaki Chicken leg The chicken is cooked deep fried, so it has a really crispy skin and a very tender meat inside! it has umami flavour and the portion is also very generous! Charcoal Beef Steak This is also served on the plate just like the chicken, it also have a very generous portion and definitely a very tender and perfectly cooked beef Grilled eel skewers The eel is cooked very well and without any sauce is already very flavourful and good amount of sweet! Whole squid kebab The squid is big, easy to eat and perfectly cooked!

This is a good place in central for lunch if you are on a budget or in a hurry. Usually we are able to get a table within five minutes and you can order from the counter with the machine so it makes ordering really speedy. The food here is served fast - so its basically a fast food chain styled place with good japanese meals. My favourite is the tomato udon with fried chicken. The tomato broth is very fragrant with diced onions inside and goes well with the soft chewy udon noodles l. The fried chicken is always hot and crispy, with classic japanese mayonnaise. The free creamy dessert mochi is also a perfect ending to the meal.

The all day breakfast here is quite good. Everything is hot and freshly fried, and you can see that its all freshly made, unlike some cafes where the toast or mushrooms are already precooked and cold on the plate. The rose latte here is also nicely made. The balance of the coffee and rose essence is good, so the rose flavour is not overwhelming. Quite a nice place to have lunch. But the cafe is quite small so not the best place to have a long coffee date or meeting.

My supposedly intimate brunch with a friend ended up as a sandwich between 2 big parties plus super loud music so we had to shout to converse. I guess it was too busy, dishes cane slowly and no one bothered to explain them. The let down was the desserts. The menu said it was a dessert platter but it was actually a dessert buffet with mostly just cheap fruits and a chocolate fountain. Overall, not a pleasant experience for HKD1000+ per head.

I wonder why no one has ever commented on the truth but this place is totally not as good as what the foodie reviews have claimed to be… We paid a visit on a weekday morning and the place wasn’t packed (and we’d got to pick our table). We ordered our mains (which were all on the brunch column), and when they were served, the portions were an absolute letdown… First up, we had the benedicts. Everything was pretty average though we both agreed that the beef tasted rather bland. It seemed like they hadn’t do any seasoning for the meat. I also don’t understand why there’s some juice-like liquid under the sourdough (I bet it’s the juice/sauce from cooking the beef) cuz it made the bread so soggy, let alone further proving that their slow-cooked beef was not satisfactory…What I’d only give credits for would be their idea of adding leaves and herbs to add aromas and colours to the plate, else honestly, there’s nothing worth praising at all. Then it’s the hotcakes. Trust me those cakes weren’t even palm-sized unlike the pictures— we were shocked by how tiny they were in real life. Served alongside some biscuit crumbles and fruits, the dish only stood out for the passionfruit on top, or it did look nice for pictures(? Given that the prices are OBVIOUSLY not friendly either, we had higher expectations for the food quality and portions but those were also disappointments. Service and environment were nice but are they worth it? Wouldn’t recommend this place at all if you want food with commensurate quality of the price.

While it's cooked through, it lacks the juicy tenderness that one would expect from a baked chicken dish. The dryness detracts from the overall experience, making it difficult to fully enjoy the other components of the meal. Overall: Fairwood's Baked Chicken and Rice with Cream Sauce is a dish with both strengths and weaknesses. The sauce was delightful but definitely lacking in portion, and the dry chicken holds the dish back from reaching its full potential. The whole dish appears to be a bit dry. If you're looking for a truly comforting and satisfying meal, you might want to consider other options. P.S I think I’m being very nice at this review.

I’ve never thought of eating a piece of cake that costs $70+, not until a few months ago that one of my ex-colleagues was back from the UK. Four of us meeting here for tea. This homecoming guy ordered Egg Salad Brioche Burger, it looked yummy and he said so. This time, my other friend invited me here for birthday celebration. She ordered their Signature Mille Crêpes, she recommended this to me. As I felt like I wouldn’t want any cake that day, so I ordered the burger combo that came with a drink. I had Iced Yuzu Lemonade. The burger was unexpectedly delicious; the bun was soft and yet the outside was crispy. It was not as sweet as I thought, I really like it. The filling was smooth and tasty. For the drink, I love the taste, just not the piece of dried lemon. On the whole, it was a good dinning experience, the place is quiet, clean and decent. The food and drink were great. The staff were nice, keeping the place and tables clean, giving way when we were taking photos of the food, helping us taking photos and most of all, they would not urge you to finish. I enjoyed eating and sharing with my friends here.

Greek food is one of the culinary niches in HK. Happened to come across Santorini, a restaurant that has opened for over a decade serving up some authentic Greek dishes. Spanakopita A freshly baked filo pastry filled with melting feta cheese and spinach. Crispy and flaky on the outside. Rich and creamy filling. Grilled Octopus Not the super tender style. The octopus was delicately flavored. Served with chickpea fava. Gyros Pork Huge portion, perfect for sharing. Savory salted pork belly slices, which matched in harmony with pita bread, Greek fries and tzatziki. Galaktoboureko Traditional baked Greek dessert with custard in filo pastry topped with pistachio. Not too sweet and the cinnamon on side enhanced the flavors. Buttery and satisfying.

I've been hearing about A Xing rice rolls for a long time.  Every time I see someone with one, I'm like, "Man, I gotta try that!" 😋  Finally got the chance today, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait! 😆   The Kwun Tong Lok Ma Chau branch was easy to find. I grabbed two rice rolls and two drinks to share with the fam. 😋 
Didn't expect so many options for rolls and drinks, had me feeling a bit overwhelmed! 🤣  The food was made to order, so we had to wait a bit.  But hey, good things come to those who wait, right?  And let me just say, everything was fresh and piping hot!
Oh, and can we talk about their packaging? So vibrant and eye-catching! 😝 First up was the Chicken Chop with Cheese Rice Roll ($48).  Talk about cheesy goodness! As soon as I opened the packaging, I was greeted by overflowing cheese.  The chicken chop was huge and tender, and with the addition of pork floss and pickled vegetables,  it felt like I was eating a classic Hong Kong-style rice roll. It was like a taste of home!
Then, there was the Teriyaki Sauce Steak Rice Roll ($40).  Holy moly, that steak was massive!  Thick, juicy, and loaded with toppings, just like the first one. Definitely filled me up! 🤣
Now, onto the drinks. Went for the Freshly Ground Nutritious Drinks:

Black Sesame Soya Milk ($22).  Not only is this stuff packed with calcium, but it's also a skin savior.  Went for the less sweet option to keep it healthy.

Purple Sweet Potato with Rose Flavour Smoothie ($24).  This drink had the prettiest purple color, thanks to all that sweet potato goodness.  Perfect for cozying up on those chilly rainy days we've been having lately.

(*˘︶˘*).。.Carbs Pizza & Pasta.:*♡Craving some comfort food and decided to try out Carbs Pizza & Pasta in Central. They're known for their deep dish pizzas, but I opted for something a little lighter - "The Italian Job" pizza.This pizza is topped with parma ham, fresh mozzarella, rocket, and tomato sauce. It was the perfect balance of salty and savory, and the crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

For dessert, I couldn't resist their Skillet Cookie. It's a warm chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and chocolate sauce. It was absolutely decadent!I also tried their homemade lemonade, which was refreshing and the perfect way to cut through all the richness of the pizza and cookie.Overall, I had a great meal at Carbs Pizza & Pasta. They have reimagined traditional Indian street snacks, offering diners a spicy culinary journey. I highly recommend their Baked Samosa with Spiced Pineapple. This dish is truly unique. The samosa has a crispy texture, and the filling combines flavorful meat with fresh spiced pineapple, creating a stunning taste. What impressed me the most about Chaat@Rosewood is their spiciness. Their dishes are genuinely hot, and each bite delivers a fiery kick. Throughout the evening, I felt like I was enduring a spicy challenge, constantly calling for fresh milk to cool down the heat. Despite the heat being a bit challenging, Chaat@Rosewood still showcases the richness and unique flavors of Indian cuisine. Their reinterpretation allowed me to taste some spicy street snacks I had never experienced before, offering a new and exciting experience. If you enjoy spicy food, this is definitely a top choice. However, if you're not very tolerant of spiciness, you may need to be cautious in selecting dishes or be prepared with remedies to soothe the heart.

This prime rib restaurant has undoubtedly cemented its place as one of the top 10 favorite dining establishments in Hong Kong for me. The ambiance and location of the restaurant evoke a sense of occasion and celebration, making it an ideal setting for special events or gatherings. The service provided by the waitstaff was commendable, with all the servers exhibiting a friendly and attentive demeanor throughout the meal. However, one minor area that could use some improvement was the professionalism of the receptionist. On our visit, the receptionist allowed a group of customers who had arrived after us to be seated ahead of our party. This was an unexpected lapse in service quality, given the luxurious reputation of a restaurant like Lawry's. Despite this minor hiccup, the quality of the food was still exceptional, compelling me to want to return to the restaurant in the future. The prime rib dishes, which are the restaurant's specialty, were truly outstanding and worth the visit alone. Overall, this prime rib restaurant has firmly solidified its position as one of the premier dining destinations in Hong Kong. The combination of a celebratory ambiance, attentive service, and exceptional cuisine make it a clear standout in my personal top 10 list of favorite restaurants in the city.
