Satisfying the omakase cravings at Sushi Yonjugo this time! 🍣 Was really impressed at the unique range of fish that was served on the day, some of which I’ve never had or heard of! ✨ We ordered their Lunch Omakase Set priced at $1580 hkd per person + 10% service charge 🍣🥢 Pic 1️⃣: Akami / 赤身Pic 2️⃣: Shiro Uni / 北海道海膽 ⭐️Pic 3️⃣: Goma Saba / 胡麻鯖魚Pic 4️⃣: Kama Toro / 大拖羅 ⭐️Pic 5️⃣: Yamato Kamasu / 梭子魚Pic 6️⃣: Kawahagi / 剝皮魚 ⭐️Pic 7️⃣: Ishigakigai / 石垣貝 ⭐️Pic 8️⃣: Shinmaji, Kinmedai / 缟鲹, 金目鯛Pic 9️⃣: Ensui Uni 白海膽, Ishigaki dai 石垣鯛, Aomori Hotategai 清心縣帆立貝, Katsuo 愛媛縣鰹魚, Nodoguro 長崎赤鯥魚Pic 🔟: Hokkaido White Sweet Corn 北海道白粟米, Miso Soup 味噌湯, Dessert Platter 甜品📝 Overall review:— Definitely had a very pleasant experience here, the chef paid attention to the smallest of details and took his time to explain each and every dish and its origin.— Items marked with a ⭐️ were a standout to me, and would definitely ask for an encore! — The kawahagi might’ve been my favourite, loved the texture and mellow flavours of the fish itself, but this was elevated by the sauce made from the fish liver which was so aromatic and rich. — The kama toro was insanely fatty, very different to some of the other toro I’ve had, it’s slightly more firm but the more you chew it, the more flavour and oil oozes out of it. — Both types of uni were absolutely delicious, insanely sweet and just melted in your mouth. It didn’t need any type of sauce, or flavouring added to it at all.— The ishigakigai and scallop were both so sweet and literally served fresh out their shell. — Loved the simple flavours here, nothing too over the top, just simply allowing the freshness of the fish to shine through on its own. — The Hokkaido white sweet corn deserves a special mention too, heard so many things about having this raw and I’ve finally tried it out and was blown away.
