第一次見倒Pizza係香港原來都可以咁大件, 但一個人冇可能整個食完, 只好買一件食就算。茄汁帶些少酸, 味道自然, 而用料十足, 80%餅面都舖滿肉腸, 像沒有味精成份, 因小弟食完後不覺口喝; 而且餅底較大型連鎖店鬆脆, 值得再次光顧。

I went here today since I was in the neighborhood. I went around 5:00 PM, neither lunch nor dinner time, but there was still a lot of people waiting there to get their pizza. I had to wait about five minutes or so until the lady even came back to the cashier place to take orders. I ordered a slice of their 24" Hawaiian pizza to go. I waited for around ten to fifteen minutes which is actually quite a long time for just once slice of pizza. I was order no. 26 but others with orders 28 and 30 with

I thought this was pretty frustrating. The service really could have been faster.

Hawaiian Pizza Slice ($35)

The size of the pizza looks pretty big and intimidating but, considering you usually eat 2 or 3 slices of pizza for a "normal" sized pizza, 1 slice of this giant pizza is a good portion size. The pizza is quite thin so it doesn't fill you up too much and make you feel really heavy. The cheese is really nice and melty, the toppings are okay, although it could always be a bit more generous.


The only bad thing about the pizza was that there wasn't enough cheese on it, and also it was pretty greasy; I had to blot away the grease before I could eat it. Otherwise, though, the flavor is great.

I would definitely come back here again to try their other items like calzones and, when they have it, their cannolis. Their pizza slices are also quite a good value.

I was planning to go to Cake-a-licious but found Paisano's when I found Cake-a-licious is not opened on Sunday, which was very upsetting since I walked all the way the hill. (I got on the wrong path, oh well.) The store in soho is pretty much the same as the one in Sai Kung, the main different is, I suspected was that the Manager was in store who made the ambiance much livelier and cozier. Same old, the huge window display showed five trays of stunningly huge 24" assorted flavour pizza and caught a lot of attention when the passenger passed by.

We have a huge slices of the 24" Pepperoni pizza. We took it away with a large paper bag. The pizza was nice, large and hot when served, and we added some parmesan cheese to make it perfect. All Paisano's pizza are with thin crust. My Pepperoni slice was very soft which I can fold it easily. The mouth feel was great, it gave me much contentment bite after bite. The pizza was very savoury, there was lots of pepperoni and cheese on it, but they manage to make it not greasy!

One of the reason I love Paisano's is because they made to order, even just a slice. So expect some wait for your delicious one. Is the wait worth it? It all depends on personal taste. Well, I do think their pizza is pretty nice, so I would say the wait is pretty much worth it. However, my other friend told me Pizzeria La Gondola is better, ou I can't wait to try next time.

Btw, i found out everytime I dine at Paisano's, I see this huge foot walking around, which is weird but funny. See if anyone could catch it too.

行錯路引導左我來到黎間PIZZA SHOP未入去已見好多人在外面等, 入到去先知原來佢地仲有BASEMENT既, 不過都真係太多人, 所以我買了TAKE AWAY我地點了一個CHEESE SLIDE, 其實見到佢個WINDOW有嫁, 不過我都要等左10分鐘先比我到. PIZZA 的底不是HK STYLE的油,而真係食到仲有小小FLOUR 向底既PIZZA = 唔會一拎上手手上便會好油既感覺TOMATO味好出, 食到中間好多好多既CHEESE, 我覺得好正,不過TOMATO及CHEESE分布都唔係好好, 有好多地方都係白面包甘.不過佢既白面包部份都幾好食. 如果我下次再有機會經過我都會買多一次來食.

原本打算去PIZZA EXPRESS買PIZZA外賣的, 但經過此店被倘大的PIZZA吸引住. 再望望牆上的剪報, 原來足足有24寸, 不愧為巨型PIZZA.. 除了24寸外, 此店還有14寸及16寸的選擇. 看了看餐牌, 點了"The Gotherfather", 材料不用多說, 來來去去也離不開肉腸, 火退, 洋蔥芝土等. 14寸的價錢是$130, 落單要排隊, 之後還要等40分鐘才有. 拿回家後打開盒子, 茄醬的濃香撲鼻, 賣相亦十分吸引, 不過餅邊厚薄略嫌不夠平均. 味道來說很不錯, 材料分佈均勻而且配搭得宜, 餅底方面是介乎厚批與薄批之間, 咬落口感不錯, 不會有食緊麵飽的感覺.雖不是正宗的意大利薄餅, 但味道及賣相都交足功貨, 物有所值.

First impression: This Pizza was HUGE! And i mean huge. I was quite gobsmacked on how big it was. i know 24inch was big but did not realize it can be that big. Taste: I have had pizza from this place before, but I ate in last time. this time I called and ordered, collected it within half an hour. The pizza was half cold when it was back home. it did not smell as nice as it was last time. The crust was not cruncy it seemed abit undercook. I dont like my pizza realy cold, and this being undercooked was not nice. It was like eating a big piece of stale bread. Altho it was still fluffy and soft. the tomato sauce was not as sour as last time, which i like now. It was sweeter but heavy tomato taste. I asked for extra cheese but it is still not very cheesy. if they could add more cheese onto it it would have been perfect. the pizza was not cut equally. Some pieces are bigger than others, and not properly detached. There were alot more pepperoni than ham. I would advised not to have pepperoni with ham, as pepperoni is alot stronger than ham, so when you have it together, you cannot taste much of the ham. There werent as much mushroom as I would have liked.

Although it was undercooked, at late night, I decided to make it back hot and placed into oven. After being baked another 25 mins, it was crispy and hot. and WOW, the pizza was to its FULL potential. It was really HOT, and crispy, the dough was cooked, and the cheese is melted. Even leaving the pizza in the fridge for few days, after baking it was just as fresh. definately a good pizza as you wont get that in pizza hut.

Conclusion: Although the pizza was undercooked, the first time i had it, it was delicious. i blame it was a Saturday as they were really busy. Even when i called, it took her a long time to pick up. At the store there were so many people queueing up and alot of people sitting down eating. This is a popular place especially to western people, not so much of chinese, this proves how authentic these pizza are, and tasty they are. These pizza are real hand tossed and you can watch them do it. Pizza comes in three size 14 inch, 16 inch, and massive 24 inch. Our Large pizza was 260 hk dollars, which i think is a bargain comeprae to pizza hut and the quality you get. We wanted get pasta too, but after seeing the size, we bothought we better not. they do lunch sets ONLY on weekdays, but they are GREAT bargain too. They do delivery but NOT yet as they say they are still hiring for the delivery man. So hopelfully they get that sorted and we can order to be delivered. But i still think it is best to eat in, as they make it fresh and hot for you. While if you take it home it be all cold. people who works there speaks good english so it doesnt feel like you are in HK getting a pizza. i love this place

要在中環找到好吃的店鋪不容易,沒吃過又沒法確認一家餐廳是好是壞,但吃到難吃的心裡又很懊惱,想說又白白浪費了一次寶貴的用餐機會有時候走過擺花街,遠遠就會傳來一陣烤麵包的香氣,香氣中夾雜着濃濃的芝士奶味還有番茄的酸味,那幾種香味混在一起,令人一聞到口水就分泌個不停每次經過,都想着下次一定要來試試,但每次的下一次都是這麼想着想着,又走到了其他的餐廳去難得那天大家都沒什麼意見,就決定要去一嘗這家店其實在西貢也有見過這種形式的薄餅鋪,由外籍人士打理,受僱員工多是東南亞人,會進去吃的,多是外國人,鋪面沒什麼華麗的佈置,簡單的透明櫃檯讓客人可以看到做好的薄餅,所有的薄餅都可以單片的買,由24" 的大薄餅切出一塊,加上你點的配料,在旁邊的烤爐裡加熱,裝進外賣盒就可以帶走,要堂食也是可以,但都是高凳我當天點了一塊Godfather, 是用一般的pepperoni pizza為底,再加上辣肉腸,火腿,洋蔥,進烤爐前曬上一層cheese,烤好的時候香味撲鼻而來,餅底烤得很香,不會有油滴出來或烤焦的噁心情況,上層的cheese一咬下去有拉開的感覺,番茄醬夠酸,中和了香腸的油膩感,令人忍不住一口接一口的咬由於分

Mozzarella pizza - Slices of pizza is already made and is out at the counter at front of the shop. but once you order it, they bake it back hot for you. 1 slice of pizza is huge. it fills you up very easily. the oly flaw with the pizza is the tomato sauce is quite sour. if they can tame down the sourness abit it would be perfect. The sourness took away the cheesy taste and the pizza itself. i hope they can improve this. the pizza is not crispy although it looks like it is. But it is definately one of the best pizza in hong Kong/

Penne Carbonara: This was my favourite. Although this is a shop who specialize in Pizzas, i somehow wanted to taste their pasta too. this came as baked which was even better as there are melted cheese on top. The sauce was abit runny, if it could be slighly thicker it would be better. BUT the sauce was still very creamy and the pasta has already absorbed the sauce. With small bacon pieces in it, it was delicious. I could not stop eating it. Definately would come back for it.

New York calzone: It is first time i ordered a calzone as not many places do them. So i expected abit more from this. calzone is just the pizza dough but folded in half with some fillings inside which was cheese and ham in this case. This took 25 minutes to bake so by time it came, i was really full already. The dough was very thick and abit tasteless. If the cheese could be stronger flavour that would be better. There is white sauce on the side which tasted good with the cheese and calzone. but the sauce soon ran out. I dont think i would order this again, it was good, but not amazing and bit too thick. would rather order another pizza.

Conclusion: i like this place. They actually do authentic pizza (well near enough to authentic in HK atleast) their first branch is in sai Kung and they are now in central due to its popularity. People were nice and effecient. it is a small shop with a few seatings upstairs and i heard there are seats downstairs too. I liked sitting upstairs, you can watch the guy making pizza when people come in to order. It is quite amazing how they flatten out the pizza dough.

見HK Hustle 講話呢間係最so far 香港正宗的new york style pizza. 由於未食過, 有日冇飯食便黎個外賣回家食. 響櫥窗睇一slice pizza真係好大. 叫左加mushroom同pineapple. 基本上佢係放mushroom同pineapple去已整好的cheese pizza度羅去焗. 等時發覺鬼多個人, 已經覺得應該會不錯. 但有得羅時見到個pizza好失望, 放料o個位真係勁冇heart, 成堆放落去就算! 所有料堆晒響中間! 外賣基本上係同堂食一樣, 用個紙碟jin住, 跟住dum落個白紙袋到…夠晒american. 由於塊pizza好大, 個尾突左出黎. =.= 見佢突出黎就食啖先, 估唔到好好味! 唔係薄底pizza都竟然甘脆! 底亦唔會好實. 又繼續我的團購瘋系列,早前見有團購網站推出優惠,只要用 $59 就可換購這間薄餅店內價值 $120 的飲食現金券,其實當時正忙着公司搬遷事宜,根本無暇詳細研究該團購網站提供這食店的餐牌,不過由於看過開飯網站內關於這店的食評,知道它的食物質素不差,所以也買下三張 coupon, 打算聖誕假期和家人一起來試試這裡的意式美食。聖誕節當日,一家三口帶埋家母直闖這薄餅店,當然我們並沒打算挑戰這裡那款號稱全港最大的 24 吋 pizza, 不過聽聞這裡的意式餡餅和三文治等也不錯,也不妨試試看。來到發現原來這店比想像中更細,地面舖位以外賣為主,而座位則設於店舖下層,座位數量約 20 個之內,椅桌擺設較為擠廹,坐得並不算舒適,幸好格局也稱得上簡潔。店員大部份以南亞裔為主,所以主要以英語對答,甚至連餐牌也沒有中文翻譯。由於想有點新意,所以這次並沒有點薄餅,見餐牌上有款 Manhattan Stramboli ($110) 的相片,外形長長的,而且焗得色澤金黃,很是吸引,於是點了一份 14” 的來試試。其實這曼克頓 Stramboli 是一款長條形的意式餡餅,內裡卷着的餡料唔算多,尤其是頭尾

由於想有點新意,所以這次並沒有點薄餅,見餐牌上有款 Manhattan Stramboli ($110) 的相片,外形長長的,而且焗得色澤金黃,很是吸引,於是點了一份 14” 的來試試。其實這曼克頓 Stramboli 是一款長條形的意式餡餅,內裡卷着的餡料唔算多,尤其是頭尾兩邊,幾乎與吃無餡白麵包無異,而餡餅中心就包裹着切成薄片的意式香腸、青椒、洋蔥和水牛芝士等,份量亦不算多,不過餡餅配有一碟裝得滿滿的番茄醬。餡餅外層雖然烘得不算特別金黃,但放上桌時還冒着輕煙,入口外層香脆無比,咬落簡值外脆內軟。至於用來蘸餡餅同吃的茄醬,酸甜度調校得十分適中,據店員說是用新鮮番茄研爛後,再加入8 至 10 種香草秘製而成,所以吃來也算新鮮甜美。

至於另一款份量沒有那麼嚇人的意式餡餅 New York Calzone ($45),則放進鍚紙盆內奉上。據說這款 Calzone 是意大利傳統餡餅,內裡餡料以加拿大煙肉、洋蔥、 Ricotta 及 Mozzarella 芝士混成,再放在店內石烤爐中焗熟,所以家鄉風味特別濃厚。這款餡餅,外形有如一份摺叠起來的薄餅,餡料其實唔算十分豐富,而且烘焗得亦唔夠乾身,但餡餅中心超級軟熟,吃來充滿麵粉的香甜,配上旁邊那些濃郁的薄餅茄醬,蘸點着來吃,風味確實不錯。

在 Pasta 類別,我們就點了 Al's Famous Lasagna ($65),這款千層麵其實外觀都頗令人驚嚇,面層望落去活像鋪上一層厚厚的油脂,加上水汪汪般,與我慣常見那種比較乾身一點的千層麵大相逕庭,幸好這碟千層麵味道原來着實不賴,內裡以三層寬麵皮接疊起來,再夾上五種乳酪和肉醬。濃郁的肉醬,酸甜可口,配上白汁、茄醬和芝士,味道的確不俗,至於千層麵口感有一點偏軟,不過因為我本來就比較喜歡軟口感的,吃來軟如綿般,與各種醬料層次分明,只是稍嫌麵條入口有點膩,但總的來說,口感算唔錯,

另外也選了一款同屬意粉家族的 Spinach Ricotta Ravioli ($55) 菠菜綿羊奶芝士雲吞,其實 Ravioli 是意大利文,香港人愛叫它意大利雲吞,屬傳統的意大利麵食之一,形狀比中式雲吞更多樣化,包括有方形、圓環、戒子狀等。至於這碟意大利雲吞份量唔算多,約有六、七隻左右,雲吞外皮質感較厚身,口感不及中式雲吞般滑溜,而雲吞皮內裡裹着滿滿的 Ricotta 芝士和菠菜蓉,高鐵質的菠菜和濃郁的芝士味充斥口腔中,加上那些忌廉菠菜汁配合菠菜 stuffing, 感覺好像很 greasy, 但好彩味道濃而不膩,非常惹味,是一款值得推介的菜式。

又點了很多食評推介的 Garlic Rolls ($35 半打) 這蒜蓉卷以麵粉糰捲成別致形狀,面層塗上蒜蓉、橄欖油和芝士,放上枱時都覺得有點奇怪,因蒜蓉卷擱在一層油上,心想底層濕漉漉的蒜蓉包那會好吃啊?但原來放入口又不是那回事,蒜蓉包面層焗起來十分香脆、內裏口感鬆軟,熱辣辣的底層還黏着些溶化了的芝士,芝士味極濃,惟可惜蒜蓉味並不強烈,但因蒜蓉卷個子不大,約 3、4 口便可吃完一個,不一會便被我們整碟解決了。

至於飲品放面,原來這裡凍飲是以罐裝為主,我們點的凍檸檬茶 ($10x3) 及雪碧 ($10),原以為是杯裝上的,後來才發現只是罐裝雀巢飲品,因喝不完也帶了兩罐回家。為母親點的熱檸茶 ($10) 當然茶味一般,以這種快餐店形式經營,也不可多加要求了。
據聞這店的意式餡餅、蒜蓉卷等是店主根據意大利籍的母親和婆婆家鄉方法炮製,故大部分外籍食客試過後,都不禁拋下一句 「Feels like Home」 的評價,由於我並沒有去過意大利,所以未能感受那種家鄉的風味,但純以食物質素來說,這裡是不錯的,而且聽講店主把店名命名為 Paisano's,中文解作是「同鄉人」,可見店主對那種家鄉味的念記及濃情。温馨提示,這裡原來不設加一,而且食物價錢大眾化,不過份量亦頗大,點餐時要量力而為,就像我這次為了一次過用盡團購現金券那 $360, 選了上述食品,結果都要把大半條 Stramboli 及 Calzone 帶走,不過店員頗為 helpful, 不斷為我張羅不同 size 外賣盒,好使我方便攜走,服務不錯啊!

- Some prefer the slightly harder crusted Roman pies, equally thin but more dense somewhat, and which are more down to earth and accessible to everyone.
- Others seem to prefer the improvised versions of Roman origins, generally referred to as the New York styled pizzas, such as that served in Paisano's.
- Some others enjoy more the thicker Sfincione Sicilian crust and toppings style, also widely popular in Rome, or even within New York or Detroit under another guise and a different name.
- There also seems to many interpretations in whatever thin or thick, doughy, leavened, crusty, crispy, flimpsy or deep pan pizza base one might prefer. The many definitions are confusing and sometimes can carry overlaps in definition.

I've never tried to confine myself and grow affinity to any one pizza style in particular, as none of these are necessarily the best. A true Pizza lover should be able to tolerate and appreciate them for what they are individually, even taking into consideration our own subjective preferences. And did I mention that even within Italy these days, it is not only about Neapolitan or Rome or Sicilian or whatever regional pizza styles either... Quite a many Italian Pizza Masters have already moved on from the past and now run a series of Boutique - Artisanal Pizzerias, which bares only slight resemblance to the original Neapolitan or Roman styled pizzas, as they become more exploratory on the limits of a perfect pizza. Some of them even sell proudly Dessert Pizzas on their menu. Each Proprietor promotes their own special pizza dough, baking method and toppings and as they grow past any past biases and restrictions, they relief themselves of obligations and have move forward in their new culinary explorations! Think of the Super-Tuscany's in the wine world as an analogy - as they were adamant in over-riding the DOC(G) designated restrictions and formulaes, therefore they could finally concentrate on making wines which better suits their style of production and customers needs. Talk about rebels, or pioneers with visions!
I mean at the end of the day, all that matters is whether its tastes any good or not. What does adhering to a single particular pizza style got to do with whether you understand how to eat food? It's like someone debating on whether a Baguette is actually better tasting than your Poilane Loaf or a Focaccia, or the overly-crumbly Brioche or Challah, or a natural levain yeasted Sourdough or a simple Pain de Mie? Its almost a retarded comparison - just because you like a specific style more, therefore you can proclaim yourself to be God as you must be right, others are wrong? Why is a soft-bready grissino necessarily better than a hard-crispy type of grissino as served in say Grissini or Sabatini's, as everyone in Hong Kong seems to think so, even thought 9.9 out of 10 Italians in Italy eats the harder version happily. See what I am getting at? And most bread baskets throughout Europe are also served cold even in the best of Michelin 2-3 Star restaurants when I experienced it recently - but look at how many make a complaint when bread is not served hot enough in HK, or the grissini are too crunchy and breaks their teeth rather than soft. You see, its quite often not the restaurant's fault at all, but sometimes only because of your own warped interpretation of things which will obviously never materialise...

This pizza guy is OK, he is adept at hand-tossing his pizza dough before putting it into the oven. The Cashier Lady however polite, seems to handle both money & additional toppings with her bare hands without any tongs or gloves. Pretty disgusting if you ask me. Paisano's needs to take note of this.

Margherita with added Pepperoncini: A pizza invented in Southern Italy in Napoli, but named after the Queen who was visiting from Northern Italy, how's that for ultimate irony?
The toppings in this shop is pretty average compared to world standards. Even the Melbourne University Tuck-shop pizza I survived on for many years mades a vastly superior version, and I am not even comparing it to a proper artisanal Pizzeria anywhere in the world. This is no more than average in performance toppings wise.

The saving grace on Paisano's pizza is their pretty decent dough base, which was crispy on the bottom but tenaciously chewy, fairly well balanced as its baked on an aerated steel mesh rather than sitting directly on the ceramic or stone surface. For the fairly affordable selling price here, this pizza base's performance easily gives it enough street-cred to survive in the competitive pizza world. Pity about the toppings or presentation which didn't lived upto standards, even for a street-stall type of pizzeria...

也是看到這裡的食評才發現這店。時常經過擺花街,但也沒留意到此店。我是Pizza 癡,在意大利時可以每天吃Pizza 也不厭,但在港找不到一間像樣的,餅底不是太脆就是太厚。Pizza Express 的還可以接受,但餅底不夠煙韌,絕不能談得上好。在 Paisano's 要了一個 14' 的 Margherita,外賣自取回家。這裡的Pizza餅底夠煙韌,不太厚不太薄,芝士及蕃茄醬都足料,美中不足是不用新鮮的 Basil。這裡也可散叫一大塊Pizza,都係$25,幾抵食。我會推介這裡的Pizza,尤其若你喜歡地道的意大利Pizza。

一見到係驚喜到暈!!
食落第一感覺係唔算熱, 可能真係就咁係門口個display拎黎就算, 唔會加熱
第2個感覺就係個底唔厚但食得好舒服! 唔會太厚只係食麵粉, 亦唔會薄脆到「界」口~

pepperoni就真係只有pepperoni既料, 當然好多芝士啦!

食到pizza邊都係好軟身既麵包, 好新鮮!
可惜風口吹住, 本身唔算熱既pizza已經凍晒了...同埋都真係幾大件...所以放棄左3分1個邊... (已經勁飽了!)
下次一定要再黎!!!

無意間經過這間小店,嚇然看到放左門口櫥窗那大大的PIZZA,就被它吸引了我們兩個人點了一件芝士肉腸PIZZA,一個Carbonara,再配一杯冰凍啤酒+可樂 都是$65,而且此處坐落中環,真的非常之抵食!!而且食物水準都幾高,Carbonara的汁簡直是無得彈!雖然食物美味,但唯一要彈的是店內冷氣不夠大,吃得我們大汗淋漓...

I went to my fav bar/home and my friend who's also the staff is ordering dinner and he asked if i wanna join - sure. He gave me a menu of this place and he said the Hawaiian pizza is awesome. Sure i will give it a try.We tried to order the set for 2 (1 pizza + 1 salad + 1 dessert) and I will get a vege lasagna for myself so us 4 can share. Arriving there, I realised they don't have veggie lasagna, nor the veggie pizza neither.

"No good veggies available today in the wet market - and I dont sell food that I dont want to eat neither." Al, the owner said. Well he's made a point.

Well since my friends so loved their pizza i am going ahead to order anyway. 1 hawaiian pizza, 1 cesar salad and 1 new york cheese cake. ($180/set). Hope it'd be be enough for us. They said we'dhave to wait for 20 mins and that was very precise!

I could tell the pizza is super yummy based on how fast my friends finished the 12' pizza. To be fair - I didn't really tasted it except an edge with some pineapple and cheese, no salami - but i liked it, especially, when it's hot and cheesy.

The cesar salad came in huge portion. We thought it'd be a small one for sharing but it was indeed good for 2. The lettece was fresh and crunchy and there was a lot of cheese on the top. However, it was more like a NY style pizza place kind of cesar salad - not authentic enough. not enough onion and there were no toasted bread cubes.

The cheese was quite disappointing too. Tastes like it's been there for a while.

In short, the pizzas there is awesome and they are sold at almost pizzahut prices, more decent and authentic!

Lunch is around $35 - 50 including a pizza and a drink - cheap cheap and will definitely return to try their veggie pizza slices.

They also do 24 inches pizza ----- good for a birthday party!
