A relatively small place and recently opened. It has the Halal Certification. The Owner is Turkish. The location is good right on the main road. However this is where 'thumbs up' ends. The remaining is all 'thumbs down'
The food quality is just so so. The doner kebab with rice served was bit dry. The meat was tender and bit salty. Strange thing was that it was served without the customary sauces like mint, garlic, yogurt etc. It has to be asked and that too was in very tiny quantity.
The meal portion was not big but it's typical in most restaurants in HK. The food plate was served inside a big tray which is inconvenient to handle and it was damp with water.
The price considering the quality and quantity is on the higher side. I will blame it more to the current wave of inflation in HK.
The thing which turned me really off about this restaurant was due to to probably a miscommunication between a Group buying website and the business owner itself. There was a recent promotion on a group buying website about this restaurant which gives nearly 60% discount vouchers to people who buy these vouchers. The voucher says a customer can use up to 10 vouchers per visit. The shop owner does not accept this and says it's a mistake by the group buying website. I saw at least three customers groups who were refused. The shop owner says that one customer can only use one coupon per visit regardless of how many people on the table. He said it's because of miscommunication between him and the group buying site. It's pity because shop owner is thinking only for his short term loss but with arguing with potentially all his customers he is not getting a good reputation. This is all with above mentioned problems in quality and service of the restaurant and despite being a new restaurant.
