My boyfriend and I went there for my boyfriend's birthday last week. We booked a table in advance, thought it would be nice to try there! When we got there, the whole place was empty. We sat down, the waitresses laid out out napkins and poured us some water and non-alcoholic sparkling wine. The layout of the restaurant is a bit cheap and the lighting was a bit creepy. We ordered the big seafood platter, which costs around $488 I think, it was rather dissappointing. We ordered the big seafood platter, which costs around $488 I think, it was rather dissappointing. The Oysters were not bad, but the shrimps were so tiny and so not fresh! The crab was alright, but the flesh was all stuck onto the shell, it was very hard to eat! (Normally, I am a crab lover!) The whelks were so small!!!
We tried to order the Lobster pasta, but they didn't have any lobster, so we ordered a French onion soup, baby pig leg and duck legs. To be honest, I didn't have any appetite after eating those horrible shrimps.
The French Onion soup wasn't made properly, the toast in the soup was just the bread that they gave us at the beginning! instead of having cheese in the soup already, they gave us some parmesan. All I could taste in the soup was just pepper.
The main courses were a bit fast food like, nothing special. The meat themselves were quite nice though, you can tell they are genuinely baby pig leg.
The service was very irritating, the waitresses kept staring at us and even the kitchen staffs kept coming out to eye on us... it was very uneasy and over priced! Overall, it didn't impress me at all! especially at a so called French restarant... I am aware that I am in Hong Kong, but it just didn't feel very French at all! (Please note, I have been to France before! Sorry for being too harsh, but my experience was just unforgettably terrifying)
