Didn't expect much, as with all upstairs cafes. So we came here with low expectations. And...as usual, the lower the expectation, the greater and sweeter the surprise when it comes!Food:1. Duck breast spag ($90), including special drink I didn't order this. but i saw a LOT of sauce. and if you express that your pasta is too dry, they'll give you an extra bowl of sauce on the side. Pretty nice. 2. Grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce and spaghetti ($75 without drink) Ooh, the chicken breast was surprisingly tasty. Japanese 燒汁 mixed with mushroom sauce for the pasta turned out...alright. And i must commend the chicken. It performed brilliantly. Soft on the inside, crunchy at the extremes. It wasn't TOO dry...but it cld've been juicier. that was the only glitch. The pasta itself was pretty good too! They didnt' use spaghetti, thank God, this was a variation of linguine. somewhere between fettuccine and linguine. yep, a hybrid. 3. Birthday cake from MAXIMS (no, not in menu) We managed to finish most of it. I realized that a lot of cream was left untouched. So i built another cake out of it =P It actually looks like a proper, edible cake. and it is, in fact, if you try to overlook the fact that it's all leftovers Environment: dim, quite crammy. They'd rearrange the furniture according to the number of people to the company. They have a TV, karoke system, PSP(?) and cable TV(i think). And boardgames, and magazines...enjoyable conversations and bond-building. :)MIGHT come back for the pasta, but i'll pass on drinks. Oh and yes it was really overpriced...…查看更多
