One Michelin Star Restaurant 🌟

Andō was one of my most anticipated restaurant and it did not disappoint.

From the concept, the decor, the service and most importantly, the food, everything was spot on (except the bread collection cause I personally prefer crunchy sourdough).

Often when I do experience menus, there would be 1 or 2 hit or misses. Andō’s experience menu has no weak link and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every course.

The amuse bouche and starters were great in opening up your appetite. The trout (the mushroom purée was so flavorful) and the beef (so tender) were marvelously cooked. But I am sure everyone’s favorite has to be Sin Lola. It’s the dish that can really touch everyone’s heart ❤️

The beautiful desserts (the birthday special was so good and the handwriting was so pretty!) and the petit four make the perfect end to the perfect meal.

Honestly, one of my favorite meals this year.

依個係甜品,一食第一啖,就嘩❗️好好食Ah😭😭,勁有層次,上面有朱古力醬🍫,中間係朱古力雪糕🍦,個底又有脆脆,焦糖味好出,所以食落就覺得好迪士尼😂,試下你哋就明😌

整體食物質素都非常好,頭盆係Beef tartare, citrus, avocado, kristal caviar,因我個人唔食Dairy products,主厨就另外安排Shiso(紫蘇),味道清新同beef tartare & caviar 意外地夾
。到主菜我仲特意喺和牛上加上時令white truffle,味道雖然冇預期咁香,但都好食。 另外要推介一下個龍蝦湯飯,通常食到咁上下就會有飽滯感,怕食湯飯會更滯,但無論味道同份量都恰到好處,食完仲想再encore
。去到尾聲,就連甜點都有驚喜,成餐飯完全由頭食到尾,冇嘢淨


完成晚餐,更誠意送上自家製抹茶蛋糕俾大家拎返屋企再慢慢品嘗,絶對係細心同貼心安排。


聽餐廳GM講,佢哋會4至6星期左右轉吓Menu,唔怕等得耐,就點都上網book定下一餐啦

整頓料理由開始到主菜味道偏濃,感覺很單調一,返而甜點很清新。

非常欣賞餐廳對料理的心思和認真,不但在菜式上色香味俱全,職員們細心介紹外,上菜安排,讓人客選擇喜歡的餐具,卡片配對,這些安排令人客和餐廳多了互動,不是單方面享用美食。這絕對令整頓料理生色不少🥰

One of the best dining experiences lately!

We chose the Experiencia lunch menu $988, I think everything was so on point, and totally worth this price tag.
- Argentinian beef tartare

The beef tartare was so good, they utilised the remaining parts of their Hereford dry age beef, combing avocado, citrus, and kristal caviar, creating such complex flavour… so memorable!

The 21 days aged Hereford beef was absolutely scrumptious, so tender and flavourful, and love the Smokey flavour from the girolle mushroom. The server told us this charcoal Smoke reminds the chef about a Saturday barbecue gathering 😂
Is quite interesting to know the stories behind every dishes as the server would told us about it whenever they were trying to introduce a dish to us.
The sourdough from bakehouse and the very Instagramable 5 seafood selection were pretty good too.
Everything was great but the cod was a little let down, it was not too tender as I expected, it was a bit too chewy for my liking.. and I personally not a fan of tomatoes, so I didn’t like the dried tomatoes that he recommended us to eat with the cod…

the highlight of this meal, this Caldoso rice was bombbbb, I’m not a fan of soup base dishes but I think this is my favourite from the menu, it was that good. The rice absorbed all the umami flavour from the soup, so delicious.

The dessert - kyoho grape, yogurt, sansho pepper meringue
I liked the The grape sorbet a lot as it was really refreshing, the meringue was a little too sweet though.
I only liked the matcha tart from the dessert selection..
the others were just ok..
And so nice of them, they prepared another dessert and a birthday card for my bday.. 💖

Overall, I think their desserts were relatively less impressive ..
but the beef tartare, dry aged beef and the rice really stood out and made the whole meal shine, totally gave me joys on my palate. Highly recommended this place, and definitely should go for the $988 set, I was so full and so satisfied after !

Sashimi platter 🌟
The highlight must be Sashimi, an iconic luxury food in Japan. It was well-cut in size that was easy to chew yet thick enough to preserve the texture. Their HIGH QUALITY sashimi soaked in their special house seasoning for added flavor. It is pure luxury by served on hexagonal tiles in groups of five. My favourite fish was the thick slice of creamy, melt-in-the-mouth toro.

💡The order of eating sashimi matters. The chefs usually serve the dishes in order, from lightest to strongest in taste, for the best dining experience. 
 
Bread 🌟
It is definitely a WOW👍 factor, sided with normal whipped butter, butter infused with XO, and extra-virgin olive oil from trees over 1,000 years old (super yum)! Olive oil is a great choice with a mild nutty flavor and less bitter notes with a soft finish. I couldnt help mopping up the last yummy bits with a piece of bread. Sry It just seemed a sin to waste so I wiped it clean.

Seafood risotto 🌟
Carbs is always my fav part of the meal. The claws and shells were used to make a rich lobster stock for the risotto, providing a fantastic taste of the sea. Creamy mouthfeel - just has the delightfully tasty lobster risotto perfected!

Their <Five Raw Seafood Selection> is definitely the most photogenic course of the night. Nicely presented in a series of pentagon-shaped dishes, it consists of some of the most seasonal sashimi of stepwise fattiness from whitefish to toro, and they all tasted so good!

I also liked the lobster bisque with rice, which reminded me of Chinese style seafood congee 👌🏻 The bisque was very rich in lobster flavors and I liked how the rice had a firmer texture than usual congee.

Another hardest restaurant reservation in town. Booked our table 2 months in advance.I was first impressed by their menu, which was presented through 8 pieces of beautiful illustrations. Another hardest restaurant reservation in town. Booked our table 2 months in advance.
I was first impressed by their menu, which was presented through 8 pieces of beautiful illustrations.

Never thought that tomatoes and strawberries could be a match! Here they use Mochida Tomatoes from Fukuoka which it’s kinda difficult for you to have them outside of Japan.

Andõ is the ONLY restaurant in HK serving this olive oil. I’ve never had such a strong and rich flavour olive oil before. And you know what, the breads, olive oil and spreads were all so good that I had 5 pieces of bread in total.🤭😅

This signature dish was inspired by Chef Agustin’s childhood memories of his grandma cooking Arroz Caldoso for him. The broth is very flavourful. Such a tasty, comforting, and hearty dish🤎

Blossom on the plate 🌺 Made with coffee custard and Japanese whiskey jelly, a burst of flavour in your mouth. To me the whiskey jelly is a bit too strong tho.
