I absolutely adore mussels and fresh ones are hard to come by, I'm not a fan of fresh-frozen ones, they just don't taste the same.Frites House Mussels.  We tried the 1/2Kg pot.  Very tasty and loved it!  Came with fries and a slab of bread to dunk into the sauce which was great.Bitterballen - Having grown up in Holland, this to me was NOT bitterballen, or at least not Dutch ones.  It was the right shape (round balls) with breadcrumbs, but the filling was faaaaaaaaar from what it should be, a thi

Bitterballen - Having grown up in Holland, this to me was NOT bitterballen, or at least not Dutch ones.  It was the right shape (round balls) with breadcrumbs, but the filling was faaaaaaaaar from what it should be, a thick ragout/gravy filling.  Instead it was full of mince and dry.  Don't get me wrong, it tasted alright, but not Bitterballen and @$65 for 5 balls...nah.. my gf liked it, if any consolation.

Steak Tartar - Big portion, quite an acidic mixture, but it was ok, worth a try.

Pork Knuckle - Geez... this thing was humongous! Juicy, super crispy skin, meaty, gelatinous, the flavour and juices was soaked up by the veggies they were baked in, really good!

Atmosphere wasn't too bad - dimmed lights, sports on the big screen.  Had to share a table though (even with reservation).  Service was far from impressive.  Feels like they are just there to do a job, plonk the food on your table and that's it kind of attitude, no sense of friendliness from 3 different waitresses, except for one tall  South Asian guy.  When we left, even though the receptionist was at her seat, didn't even say goodbye, even after I said it to her.  Too busy counting cash it seemed.

我點了一柸士多啤梨SODA, 比較令人失望, 因為冰多,SODA水小,士多啤梨也小, 所以沒有什麼味道。我應該要點其他有味既特飲。而老公點了柸BEER,比較安全。 BEER夠冰, 好爽。

之後,就係個BURGER, 美式BURGER,但都好JUICY, 芝士味都夠, 加上賣相配得非常好!令人立刻來食晒佢!

總括來說, 環境同食物都做得很到位, 尢其是我真係好喜歡佢地既皮SOFA, 坐的好人好舒服, 真係好適合BRUNCH同晚上同朋友傾下計, CHILL下。

Staff were great, however the food was a disaster!We dined at 8pm. They had 'sold out' of all bread except white buns!My friend ordered the steak & kidney pie. It was smaller than your fist & had a tiny drizzle of gravy.I had the lemon sole. The fish was tasteless. The fennel was so overcooked it tasted of mush.This is a very expensive place, and for what we had, it was not worth half the price.The desserts were good, that was the only saving grace.Such a shame, but I dont recommend at all!

Had the Pork with crackling for main course and it was absolutely superb. The port was succulent and the crackling was crispy all the way round - The best I had!

某日中午,與兔兔去太子大廈辦事,途經Alfie's. 兔兔見貴為英短的我眼望望,便窩心提議一試。點了Full English Breakfast及Meat Pie,味道不錯。但驚喜的是,有本貓極少在香港見過的經典英式甜品eton mess! 好開心!於是某晚,本貓約了兩位英倫之友再訪,打算懷昔日的舊。食物依舊不錯,為食貓與其中一位同樣點了tasting menu。除了菜式選項不全是英國pub food及甜品頗馬虎(純朱古力磚)外,味道及份量都算滿意。不過晚上的Alfie's ,不論燈光及音樂均似Kee Club多過似pub。若然再訪,我還是喜歡日間的它,較似pub及有英倫況味。

i'm impressed by their drink menu which offers lots of different cocktails and by far i think it's the most diverse! i like whiskey and the King's Gold is great. Food-wise the foie gras is yumm! Service is below standard though! For what they charge they need to groom more professional people to handle serious people like us !!!

Since most of the patrons here are Eng. speakers, I decided to write this review in English. I've heard of this restaurant for quite a while. Knowing that it's a Dunhill-branded restaurant run by Kee Club, I had great expectations. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Service: My reservation was at 7:30pm. When I got there at around 7:20pm, the receptionist said the table wasn't ready yet. I ended up standing rather awkwardly at the corridor to wait for the table. In fact, there were tables available.

Service: My reservation was at 7:30pm. When I got there at around 7:20pm, the receptionist said the table wasn't ready yet. I ended up standing rather awkwardly at the corridor to wait for the table. In fact, there were tables available. I dunno why she won't let me in. Or at least the receptionist could have asked if I wanted to have a drink at the bar. When the table was finally ready, she gestured me to come in in a very disrepectful and somewhat condescending way. It was as if you were walking too slow and were wasting her time, which apparently, I wasn't. My guests who came later were greeted with the same rudeness. Interesting enough, I found the lady was really polite to foreigners! So before even sitting down and trying out their food, my first impression of the place was doomed.

Ambiance: The bar in the middle was extremely noisy. I'm not sure if it's the problem with the layout of the restaurant. I know it's trying to create the whole British pub vibe, but for diners like me,who just wanted to enjoy my food and had a good chat with my guests, it was rather frustrating. I found myself shouting across the table in order to carry on my conversation.

Food: I had something that is quinessentially British - the Fish and Chips. I heard somewhere called it the best Fish and Chips in town, but in my opinion, it's overrated. Sure, the coating was rather crispy. But while I cut it open, the whole thing disintegrated. The fillet was completely separated from the coating. I also found the fish itself to be tasteless. As for the fries, they are all rectangular shaped, which was rather interesting, but didn't taste as good as it looked. I had to add a lot of salt.

The only thing I was happy with was the Banoffi Pie. It was yum. It's not too sweet and the taste of banana wasn't overwhelming. I've also tried the apple crumble. The whole thing was too sweet and the crumble was too hard and chewy.

I think it's not worthwhile to spend like $300 for such a meal. There are plenty of better choices out there.

Went there at 1: 50 PM . a lot of people still. is very business lunch to take clients.ordered the well known FIsh and Chips HKD 220. woah , is good, but is big proportion. goo value, the starter have a pumpkin tart. OMG ,good !!!! very very smooth texture and tasty was thinking if I should order dessert. Since I m here, might as well. I ordered a Apple raisin crumble with ice cream.. I didn't finish it . after few bites, it was way tooooo sweet that hurt my throat.

I am managing to treat my darling a nicer meal every month in the name of celebration (of nothing), so I suggested going to Alfie’s which I have been expecting to visit since it opened its door last yr. It is a very refined place offering you an eyeful of leather goods, from menu to the very comfy seats, giving the entire room a sense of Dunhill spirit (if you know what I mean). I particularly like that wall with a bulldog image on it, immediately reminded you of Winston Churchill, classic English “gentleman-ism” and elitism were all there.

I don’t consider it a fine-dining place, instead, it is a bit more on casual-chic level with a tinge of sophistication that you’d appreciate. Back to the key subject- food. We didn’t order a lot, we started our meal with lobster cake which was tinier than I expected. The taste was fair, nothing too impressive or delicate about this dish.

To be honest, I am not the kind of people who know how to appreciate very fine art-piece like dishes. I look for rich flavors, nice presentation, fresh ingredients etc. maybe that’s why I love the Fish and Chips there so much. The halibuts were very memorable for its tenderness and moisture; the two big fishes were very crispy yet not greasy on the outside. I wish they’d given us more chips, the portion of chips were sadly too little to fully satisfy us.

The medium-cooked lamb rack was as good as the Fish and Chips; I think the kitchen handles meat very well. Nice job.

Its Fish and Chips definitely deserves a two-thumbs up admiration, however, at this price ($4xx, we ordered two drinks), I believe there are just too many competitions in Central. Anyway, part of the price comes from its atmosphere and its brand value of Dunhill itself.

其餘gei食物就ok la~~ lunch set 頭盤個salad都幾好, 但係楝番茄湯個d就好似麻麻...太heavy...

Main course gei 三文魚都幾大份,但係羊就似乎少o左d...

跟set gei甜品就太普通la....幾粒strawberry加d cream...竟然要等10幾分鐘.... 不過另外叫o個d甜品就ok, 仲可以幫你刻埋d 字係上面 (eg Best Wishes/ Happy Birthday...)
...

總括嚟講, 如果係有celebration 又未試過間餐廳gei都值得一試...但係以呢個價錢...除o左個fish & chip之外...其實應該有唔少其他gei選擇lor.....~~~

Went here with the colleagues after work last week. Nice vibe and cool classy ambience. Waitresses were friendly and attentive. Ordered the Cottage Pie, Sausages, and Bangers & Mash. Sausages were tastey while cottage pie was simple but sufficiently flavorful. Bangers & Mash were mediocre. Overall, food was nothing fancy, but decent and reasonably priced. For drinks, nice selection of ciders and pretty good wine offering. Cool place to start off a night on the town.

Love the British pub vibe, ask for sofa seating if possible, quite comfty. The waitress recommended Angus Beef or Chicken for main course. We wanted their signature fish and chips but they said it was not available though there were only 3 more tables when we went. My boyfriend picked chicken and I opted for the set menu with bangers and mash. The boneless chicken was slightly freaky as it was a very thick piece of chicken meat, I kept teasing my bf that it's the same headless chicken from KFC.

The boneless chicken was slightly freaky as it was a very thick piece of chicken meat, I kept teasing my bf that it's the same headless chicken from KFC. Apart from this, the chicken was surprisingly juicy. Bangers and Mash was so-so, not the comfort food I was use to, probably because of the sausage used. Basically, the two dishes reminded me of airplane food, not saying it's awful but it had the same taste.

One of my favorite dessert is Eton Mess and I was so excited they served it. It didn't have enough meringue so came out as just a mess.

Would go back for drinks or maybe try their breakfast.

Looked forward to dining in Alfred's new Home in HK, yet was surprised that the restaurant is run by KEE Club...Dinner review:Sausage roll- a typical British food ; well made but need to pay attention to temperature (quite cold) ; good side saladFish & chip- took on waitress' recommend & was not disappointed. Good quality cod meat w/ batter that was not excessively oily. Chips was however overdoneEaton's Mess- in fact they could just rename to strawberry sorbet, not enough of the crunches.S
