星期天的晚上又走到九龍城去, 突然二人都想去吃泰國菜...所以就去了平日我們覺得average比較好的這間店子。我們點了一個咖哩炒青口、蒜蓉包、馬拉盞椰菜苗、蝦膠皮蛋, 另外一人一個飲品。今天的食物來得有點慢, 最早上菜的竟然是椰菜苗, 最搞笑是吃完整個椰菜苗都未上到其他的菜。椰菜苗份量OK, 菜一點都不苦, 炒得都幾香幾好味, 熱辣辣咁拎出黎, 定必是即叫即炒的~咖哩炒青口 - 本身我地係想叫咖哩炒蜆的, 但係冇哂蜆所以就退而求其次啦, 雖然青口比較遜色, 不過勝在份量夠多, 一碟好似有成8隻, 一人有4隻呢! 我喜歡吃這裡的炒咖哩是因為那個咖哩不太辣, 而且有加蛋花, 成個咖哩會滑好多, 當然, 我最愛的就是以炒咖哩的醬汁沾上香脆惹味的蒜蓉包去吃啦! 這是我每一次必然的食法呢! 蝦膠皮蛋 - 很多時來到這店子都會叫的食品, 因為在其他的泰國菜館比較少見這道菜, 而這店子的皮蛋其實都幾香幾好食, 又想像不到原來皮蛋跟蝦丸混合起來的味道也不錯呢! 有機會去的朋友可以試試看啊!最後飲品, 味道正常, 貪佢有買一送一又大大杯! 就算吃多一點辣咖哩都沒問題喇!

是晚提早同爸爸食生日飯.食泰菜, 當然首選九龍城! 但由於同父母前來, 環境不能太差.所以決定黎籽苗葉試試.預早已經訂好位, 一行6人, 被安排坐一張圓枱~餐廳星期一至五有8折, 星期六日有85折 (套餐都有得折, 但蟹類就冇折扣)叫了小食拼盤 ($145)有春卷, 香葉包雞, 蝦餅, 魚餅, 每款3件 (全部一開二) , 適合多人分享~熱辣辣, 好香口. 蝦醬通菜鮮尤 ($62)一上枱已經好香陣陣蝦醬味. 但又唔會太咸青芒果沙律($50) D青芒果切成一條條, 好爽口, 酸酸辣辣,正.酸辣去骨鳳爪 ($50)又一酸辣菜式, 凍凍地, 好食, 但如果可以林D會更好.炸軟報蟹 ($108)炸蒜味好香, 即叫即炸, 熱辣辣, 一碟有8至9件咖哩炒蟹 ($218 冇得折)呢樣餸最快上枱, 應該係煮定...但幸好都夠熱, 係肉蟹一大隻, 6人分享, 剛好每人一件. 個汁好好食, 唔太辣, 好香, 另外仲點了蒜容包($24 = 6件)同簿餅($24=6塊) 點汁食.甜酸炒金邊粉 ($52) 有好多雞肉同蛋絲. 算係好足料.飲品買一送一 (約$34) 最後, 當然係食生日蛋糕. 訂位時, 已經問左, 切蛋糕不收切餅費 ! 侍應亦主動幫我地清枱, 同埋俾碟同义我地.仲一人附上一杯熱茶.服務好好.最後, 大家都好滿意呢一餐. 有下次~埋單: $8XX = 6人

We visited Lemon Basil with a big group and had a decent meal.We opted to have Thai iced tea, somtam, laab and pad kee mao. The dishes always tell you a lot about any Thai restaurant and here they sung the praises of Lemon Basil.The tea was OK, but there are better tea places out there (but seriously, who judges a restaurant on their tea??). The somtam, which we asked to be spared of little shrimp, was really flavourful. We ordered everything phet mak mak (very spicy), and the heat was pretty strong. The flavours were good and the green papaya's acidity was balanced well with the sweet and spicy dressing and peanuts. The laab (we ordered minced pork - laab moo) was spot on. The flavour profiles were exactly the same as the ones in Thailand (we used to live there and this is a real favourite of ours). Spicy, sweet, sharp and umami; the pork and soy bean grounds with citrus and chili against the cooling lettuce leaves is a match made in heaven. I could eat this all day.The pad kee mao (literally sh*t drunk noodles) is an awesome dish when done right, and they made a pretty good attempt at it here. The flavours were really good and it was full of birdseye chilis (though not as many as you would get in Thailand). The idea is that the dish should be so spicy it cures your hangover or sobers you up. Despite the flavours being almost on the money, they didn't use the correct noodles. Pad kee mao should have flat wide(ish) noodles, but here they use thin round noodles. It was fine, but the mouth feel of the noodles is part of the experience. The service was hectic, but good and the owner was on hand to supervise everything. Our dishes were as we requested them and pretty authentic. Our total bill came to 191 HKD including service and tax. I would certainly recommend Lemon Basil based on what we ate there.

朋友提議到九龍城食泰國菜, 但要求坐得舒服, 這個要求並不容易.由於時間尚早, 四處逛逛, 驚見'小曼谷'未夠六點已經人頭湧湧(是日為星期六); 反而見隔離'籽苗葉'仲有好多位, 決定一試.'籽苗葉'簡潔的裝修, 左邊一排有梳化的二/四人檯, 右邊則有三四張大圓檯, 檯與檯之間有足夠空間, 並不焗促.先來一客活蝦刺身, 蝦夠新鮮及大隻, 賣相相當不俗, 幾好.沙爹 - 揀了豬雞各三串, 入口不會韌, 味道不錯, 典型的串燒, 無特別.蝦餅 - 夠厚身夠大粒, 蝦肉有少少彈牙, 炸得剛剛好, 不錯.椰青海鮮飯 - 是晚最不討好的菜式. 完全食不到椰青味, 只是一堆炒白飯; 海鮮方面魷魚最多, 蝦少量, 青口兩隻. 失望!本來想叫咖哩蜆, 但是晚無蜆, 惟有轉叫青咖哩羊肉. 青咖哩可謂完全不辣, 略嫌羊肉數量較少, 一般. 惟有食多幾塊蒜蓉包沾咖哩汁. 蒜蓉包反而幾好, 每塊都鋪滿蒜蓉.點了兩杯嚐到果肉的芒果沙冰, 好飲!很奇怪是晚星期六仍不滿座, 但都有九成滿. 服務方面是OK的, 但明顯不夠人手(當所有食物已上檯但我杯沙冰仍在製作中).觀乎今餐的水準, 除了椰青飯較差之外其他都不錯, 絕對合格有餘; 加上坐得舒適及埋單有折(星期一至日都有但不同折扣), 我很滿意.

入九龍城當然要食泰國野,是日星期日晚上7點幾,行到去小曼谷個頭見到有兩三間都勁多人排隊,為左肚餓既肚dum著想,就求其揀一間無人排隊而又仲有位架啦。有一間叫籽苗葉泰國餐廳,見佢裝修都ok,又有冷氣,企係出面見menu都ok咁就推門入去。入到去有小小up味,好小姐。都差唔多有8成full左,而我地2個人就坐一個面壁位,正對住玻璃窗,對住出面行黎行去既人。見到無人等位都有小小驚中伏。睇下menu先,先見到飲品買一送一,椰青啤酒除外,可以任揀,咁就要左杯椰汁三色冰同一杯椰汁紅豆冰。野食就要左串燒,雞豬牛每樣各2串,燒豬頸肉同一個大蝦粉絲煲。椰汁三色冰同一杯椰汁紅豆冰上先,普普通通,暫未中伏。之後串燒就到左,送過黎既時候好香好香,流哂口水。先試豬,點一點咖哩醬,唔辣,一d都唔辣,返而帶出左肉味,好夾。雞都唔錯,牛就失色左小小。之後豬頸肉都到左,薄薄的一片,咬落去邊位好脆,再點埋附上既有小小沙茶醬味既辣醬,小小辣,食得好過引,好快就俾我地食哂。好彩都唔洗中伏!我愛豬頸肉!主角等左幾耐先上,只不過係蝦同粉絲,洗唔洗煮咁耐?!總共有3隻大蝦,每隻都有糕的,d蝦糕好鮮好香!但d粉絲真係麻麻地,好大陣胡椒味,好似飲緊胡椒湯咁,連我呢個咁愛好粉絲既人都無食哂,淨左好多。呢個主角好似要成百五蚊,有d唔抵。。。。總結係,配菜好味過主角好多,會再黎,但要揀過第二個主菜!
