Turns out that his tango organizers canceled the tango session at the last minute, and XO decided to join the two of us for happy hour!

This sign outside the bar is what attracted me the last time I visited Haven Street and looked up Ladies & Gentlemen online and found an article on their omakase cocktails!

The bar is partitioned into two sections by sliding glass doors, which was a little peculiar. We were seated in the outer section where the decor was pretty much taken up by the beverage refrigerators. There was a table with tall bar stools, but since we arrived around 6pm and the bar was pretty much empty, we were seated on a lower table with regular chairs.

The inner section of the bar had more decorative details.

They had a pretty extensive collection of liquors on display.

I really liked these handpainted 1800 bottles that were on display on a stage with purple lighting!

Since we came here for the omakase cocktails, XO's honey and I decided to order a cocktail each. The omakase cocktail is basically a cocktail tailor-made to your preferences such as the type of liquor and base flavor. Since it was quite hot that day, I wanted a refreshing drink, so I asked for a cucumber flavored drink.

Omakase Cocktail: The cucumber-flavored cocktail was extremely refreshing and was a nice cooling drink on a really hot day! The cocktail had a pretty green hue and chopped cucumber pieces floating in it! The drink wasn't too strong, and I really liked it! I think omakase cocktails is the way to go!

We couldn't drink on an empty stomach, so we decided to order a few snacks and appetizers.

The Deep Fried Hokkaido Cheese had a crunchy crisped rice crust, which was different from fried cheeses I had before. I really liked the crunchy crust, and the ooey gooey cheese filling was very delicious as well! I like Japanese fried cheese, but I love this Deep Fried Hokkaido Cheese!

Deep Fried Polenta Cake: I was hoping that this would be similar to the creamy polenta I used to have in the US, but this was more like a salty corn bread. I prefer a creamier polenta, so the texture of this polenta cake was a bit gritty to me. The hot sauce that came with the polenta cake gave it a nice spicy kick!

Alaskan Crab Leg & Avocado Salad: I didn't expect a bar to have such a good crab and avocado salad! The salad was seasoned perfectly, and the Alaskan crab leg gave it a good salinity with its natural saltiness. Each bite of the salad was a burst of flavor in my mouth!

After having the snacks and appetizers, XO and I were still a little hungry, so we decided to split a main dish.

Stuffed Lobster & Seafood w/ Truffle Rice: The lobster was stuffed to the brim with seafood, and the tomato sauce made the dish very delectable! Since XO doesn't really know how to dig through the lobster head, I had all the lobster tomalley to myself, and the tomalley was absolutely delicious!

The rice that came with the lobster was filled with the beautiful aroma of truffle! Even the okra on the side were pretty good and not too slimy!

We came to Ladies & Gentlemen looking for their signature omakase cocktails, but in addition to the bespoke cocktails, we found high quality scrumptious food that didn't come with a hefty price tag!

Haven Street have become something like a place to go for food recently. Previously, whenever i walked past this area, it was very quiet at times. With the opening of Via Tokyo & Mammy pancake, suddenly the whole place has been revitalized. Recently, another restaurant specializing in cocktail has opened at this street too, right up to the end. Haven Street have become something like a place to go for food recently. Previously, whenever i walked past this area, it was very quiet at times. With the opening of Via Tokyo & Mammy pancake, suddenly the whole place has been revitalized. Recently, another restaurant specializing in cocktail has opened at this street too, right up to the end.

Some renovation is on-going at the building, so bamboo scaffolding can be seen outside the shop.

Shop was decorated in a very modern chic way, with black colour as the theme. Once we entered the place, it gave us a very cosy feeling. On the left, there are lots of liquor lying inside the chiller and table. Over at the bar counter, there were even more. Most of them are needed for the bartender to concoct drinks for customers.

They operate from noon to midnight, 1am during Fri & Sat. It was kind of surprise to me that they closed so early since their business is mainly on alcoholic drinks. For their drinks menu, they do have happy hour from 3pm to 8hr. Besides their signature cocktail, they sold imported beers as well. Their food menu is mainly on light snacks & desserts, as seen on openrice. When the staff told us that they do serve main as well, we were quite surprised. We decided to go for it as we were both hungry too.

Omakase Cocktail

As this place specialize in cocktail, i will definitely order one. The waiter told us that beside the cocktail on the menu, they offer omakase cocktail as well, which is not on the menu. Since this was not commonly found, i decided to order it. Price of it was around $160 compared to the usual cocktail of $120. From the looks of the photo, the bartender really took pride in his own art creation. The drink was served on a black tray, with some fruits and syrup for us to taste too. From what i can taste, the drink was concocted out of gin, lemon and lime etc. It was a good way to start off my hearty meal as the drink was sour and alcohol content was quite strong too.

Fried crab cake with capsicum confit & mustard aloli - I enjoyed this appetizers alot. Even though the portion is quite little, but it was made of real and fresh ingredients. When i took a bite, i could see all the crab meat in it, being blend before deep frying it. It was very crispy and tasty.

Beef Tenderloin with sweet potato, leeks & mushroom stew with brandy sauce

Beef Tenderloin with sweet potato, leeks & mushroom stew with brandy sauce - As this place was very alcoholic, even their beef sauce must be done with brandy sauce as well! It was served with other vegetables too, so i will not feel too stuffed by all the meat. Beef tenderloin was done nicely, tender and chewy, yetstill retaining some redness on the meat.
