Lunch time at North Point area has always been like a battlefield but Tulsi offers you a comfortable dining experience with high AC during this hot summer! Me and my friend came here for a decent lunch with Groupon coupon, which comes with free flow of papadum, curry, and drink. Soup of the day would be cream of corn soup with Indian spices and coriander. It was not too creamy which was just right for a warm start. Papadum comes with the classic coriander sauce. The warm papadum was served warm and crispy and the savouriness went well with the refreshing taste.  The starter platter comes with 4 different kinds of small bites including crispy onion pakodabeef skewer chicken tikkapotato samosa Crispy onion pakoda is a small little cute onion ball deep fried with light batter and probably some tumeric and other spices. It was somewhat between soft and crispy, a fun small bite for every one. The whole small bowl had around 5-6 pieces of flavourful goodness.The beef skewers were tender and almost succulent. The coriander on top gave an extra flavour to the well marinated beef. The chicken tikka was comparatively dryer after being grilled. The smokey flavour was over the top and I really enjoyed having it on its own. The samosa was jam packed with chunks of potato, cumin seeds and other Indian spices. The shell was hard and crunchy, which was strong enough to hold the whole big piece of potato hot pocket. Indian spice cooked oysters and clamsEach piece was cooked until just right. The spices married nicely with the seafood with light fishy taste. The oyster was medium size and had a soft texture. It was not a bad treat for any good lunch deal! You may even see pieces of cardamon seeds hiding in the orange curry on top. Three types of curries were provided as the main dish, they are fish curry, chicken curry, and potato curry. The chicken curry was quite buttery and creamy in texture, it was not spicy at all and it went just perfectly well with any rice or naan of your choice! The fish curry was even creamy and more coconut-y in taste. It was again not sweet and I liked how soft and moist the fillet pieces were. I personally like fish a lot and I like this fish curry the most just because it was cooked nicely with a soft texture. The potato curry was covered with spices and the most noticeable one would be fried cumin seeds. The dish was also served with some shredded carrrots as well! Each piece of tomato was fluffy yet still firm in texture. It was flavourful from the spices and it was not hot. truffle naanI have chosen truffle naan to go with my curry. It was again fluffy, served very hot with a mushroom earthy truffle taste. Curry is just good with any naan, and any naan would be good for any curry. I really liked that the heat was not too strong which was just great during this hot summer otherwise I would have probably died. Mango lassi is also refillable, the sweet and tangy yogurt drink can never be missed in any Indian meal. It was fruity, sweet and refreshing. It is a also a good cure for spicy food if you can't handle the heat. I would say it is a super good deal for this price especially when we can get free flow drink and curry. Soo excited to be trying out this hidden gem featuring michelin level indian food in North Point with my friend.The restaurant was already pretty crowded and busy when we got there so I'd recommend reserving your seats before your head for a meal. First things first, we have some traditional potato snacks and of course the signature mango lassi to start it off. Their fried mashed potato cutlets carried a hint of spice. Together with some veggie bites mixed inside, this is a pretty good one to wake the appetite up. And if you are a yoghurt lover like me, you'd definitely like their creamy mago lassi as well. On the side note, I also see a lot of other people ordering another pink drink named butter milk which looked pretty interesting as well Next, we ordered their chicken curry with karma sauce from their wide variety of curry choices. This one is non-spicy as I am not really someone keen for the chilli dishes. Nevertheless, I loved the coconut milk flavours infused in the curry and it was a great dish to go with the fluffy cheese naan bread.Lastly, the sizzling hot tandoori dishes were not to be missed. We ordered their tandoori lamb chop which was an item on the list of chef's recommendation. For this price, I must say we were both surprised by the generous portion that that gave. 再訪印度菜,一直想食呢間米之蓮既印度菜,西環果間係佢分店,心諗總店會唔會更好味~約左成個月之後終於試到~充滿印度風情的餐廳,燈光很明亮,店員全部都是講英文,應該是印度人~Menu 同西環果間既主menu有少少似,但少了fusion 菜既套餐menu,瑪沙拉焗蠔$108( 6隻),超級新鮮,有海水味~~非常juicy~配上瑪沙拉醬,其實應該是一些香料加番茄醬,酸酸甜甜咁~超開胃❤️️印度餐又點少得naan bread~Cheese $24 &  黑松露$28,比較推薦cheese 口味,很濃郁的芝士香,反觀黑松露感覺還好~沒有很特別~印度牛油咖哩雞$84,一直是我最愛的印度美食,果然沒有讓我失望,非常香甜的咖哩汁,帶著南瓜香味,配上naan食~再一口雞肉,絕對讓你欲罷不能~停不了口~最後再加點了 牛油naan$26,覺得其實原味的味道也很好,口感比之前兩種都脆~牛油味很重很香~光是吃naan沾上咖哩其他就很滿足很好吃~~上次飲完mango lassi $34 之後就戀上了⋯今次當然也是唔少得❤️️酸酸甜甜的味道,似是在喝yoghurt drink,卻又比yoghurt 濃厚,總之就是來吃印度菜不可或缺的重點飲品~~離開時發現他有供應午餐,好像都幾吸引下😋…查看更多

又係因為工作關係雲游去到北角,北角一向多野食,就係地鐵站附近發現左間米芝蓮食肆。餐廳裝修好有風味,一開門見到待應都唔係香港人,要用英文溝通,小女英文不才,要男友打救。Help!不過,好彩餐牌都有中文。前菜有雜菜薯仔餅,不過呢碟菜相對失色,蔬菜蓉太多,破壞左薯餅既質感,菜味亦蓋過左薯仔味。作為一個薯仔痴,有啲失望。不過,蔬菜健康愛好者可能會好喜歡,我無咁健康。(笑)印度仲有樣食物好出名,就係串燒啦!串燒雞燒得非常出色,雞肉係完全無燶,而且仲唔會好dry添,讚!雞仲被腌製過,食入有香濃印度燒烤味,一流!趁天氣未凍,就要趁早飲多幾次凍飲啦!呢杯粉黃色既MANGO LASSI芒果味道濃郁,飲落有乳酪既味道同質感,整體味道酸酸甜甜,十分開胃!叫左個蝦版雜錦炒飯,個炒飯份量大,夠曬兩個人食。雜錦炒飯既雜錦好似係得香料,內有大量香料,不過入口唔會太濃,蝦亦香口彈牙,不過個飯略嫌太乾,令飯有啲硬。(老人家忌食,笑!)幾時都話食甜品用第二個胃,食完主菜,點可以唔叫返個甜品呢?印度雪糕Kulfi唔係間間印度餐廳都會有,只有一啲比較傳統既印度餐廳會提供,雖然佢係一個雪糕,但質感方面令人覺得佢更似一條雪條!雪糕有好濃郁既奶香同椰子味,配合埋細細粒既杏仁碎,有少少似港式既椰汁西米露。…查看更多

An Indian food maniac wanted to taste good Indian food in Hong Kong.  Tulsi and Wine popped up in my mind.I understood the maniac was a bit picky.  I thought the warm and inviting ambience should be satisfying.A chandelier hung at the middle of the ceiling, the stained fixtures, the cosy rich fabric tones, the light beige wood flooring and walls.  The golden framed mirrors and ethnical pictures brought the rich Indian culture back to this contemporary and tastefully eatery.Venue chosen by me.  Orders mostly made by the maniac.The vegetable Samosa was my favourite too.  I liked the crispy shell and the soft veggie inside .I was recommended the signature Indian tea ~~ hot Masala Tea.  This Masala Chia was made by brewing black tea with a mixture of Indian spices and herbs.  It was really aromatic and comforting.The maniac chose another signature drink, the Mango Lassi.  It went well with spicy food.The Tandoori Chicken .The chicken pieces were crispy outside but the meat was still succulent. Authentic! It reflected the chef's culinary skill.The outlook of the Indian rice was dried and loose but in fact it was soft and moist.  It went well with the Tandoori Chicken.I liked the Bhindi Masala very much.  The Okra was still crispy in the sauce.  The Papadam was thin and crispy.  It added fun to the meal.The Chicken Vindaloo was really good ~~ moist chicken in hot spicy sauce. (no photo  :)) I would like if it was kept to the original recipe to include potatoes. I was later learned from the waitress that they skipped the potatoes to cope with customers views. The maniac was so anxious to go to the Quarry Bay restaurant when was told that it kept the original Indian recipes.Aloo Gobi was another veggie dish.  The combination of potatoes and cauliflower were good.  I would like them not to be so soft.The must item was the naan.  Both plain and truffle naan are good for me.The Gulab Jamum and Kulfi gave a sweet ending. Gulab Jamum was very sweet and fulfilling.  If you do not have a sweet tooth, just forget it.  I like the texture of the Kulfi much.I was happy that I made a good choice of venue.  I received no complaint from the maniac and we spent a wonderful night together.…查看更多

最近阿媽開始湊孫,日日都奔波勞碌,只有夜晚阿哥阿嫂在家時才可以有自己時間~於是我就帶佢黎食佢最鍾意食的印度菜~~打算食下咖哩同烤餅~~ :) 第一次黎,跟平時去開的印度餐廳最不同的是裝修光猛新淨,初初覺得似係一間西餐廳多過印度餐廳!!座位舒服~可以悠閒地歎印度菜~~除了咖哩同烤餅,原來有好多好吸引的小食!! 仲有鐵板系列~~睇相都流哂口水 首先叫左個Samosa($35),即是印度的咖哩角,外皮烤得非常脆但沒有油膩感。印度菜最大特色係香料豐富 :) 呢個咖哩角亦唔例外 :) 滿滿的塞進了肉、薯仔等餡料,還有超濃的香料,喜歡香料的人會很滿足 咖哩角配的綠色薄荷醬,隱約有魚柳包的沙律醬味道,中和咖哩角小小的辣味以外亦有種清新的感覺~見到好多人叫呢個鐵板燒羊扒tandoori lamb chop($168), 熱辣辣,初上菜煙好勁~~肉質嫰滑亦保留了羊肉的騷味~ 天羅多香的香料味重,味道濃郁,配埋綠色的薄荷醬更好味 但耐左就無咁好食,肉熟透~咖喱雞(椰奶) ($88?)+ 黑松露烤餅($28)食印度菜,點都想試下D咖哩同烤餅~因為叫左燒羊扒,咖哩就叫左雞肉~~不太好辣的我揀左椰奶重的version~~不過可能燒羊扒太大impact,顯得呢個咖哩雞普通左少少 椰奶味的確幾重,咖哩汁質感幼滑,可能配飯會較好~雞肉就不過不失吧~而黑松露烤餅比較少見,所以就想試試~黑松露香味和味道都沒有想像中的濃,可能平時食開意粉/意大利飯習慣了濃濃的味道,這次配上烤餅,味道就不夠突出了 不過烤餅的水準還不錯的~香草咖哩羊肉 ($88?)由於咖哩的份量比想像中細,所以食食下個咖哩雞,就決定叫多個唔同味道的咖哩黎試呢款香草咖哩明顯比椰奶咖哩辣,但又不是辣到會出哂汗果種~~香料+咖哩+羊肉果然是我家的定番,有羊肉的騷味才能突顯咖哩的野味~薯仔烤餅($26)同之前叫的黑松露烤餅完全唔同樣咖哩sauce煮的薯仔夾到了烤餅中間,像餡餅一樣~就咁食又得,配咖哩食又得其他還有洋蔥/芝士/蒜頭等選擇。Mango lassi ($34)Coffee Lassi ($34)Lassi是印度特色飲品~酸酸地,最適合食辣野時享用,可以中和辣味今次最特別係試左Coffee Lassi,乳酸味咖啡,因lassi本身味道像乳酪,真的想像不到可以溝咖啡~酸中帶苦,未必個個人鍾意,但我又覺得OK~好特別的味道:):)雖然係閒日夜晚,但有不少街坊、情侶同大學生黎幫襯~~店員都是印度人,全程要用英文溝通~~有點異國風情~~…查看更多

"印度菜?好重口味啊!"我說"那你得試試這間,很好味道的!而且還是米芝蓮!"朋友邊說邊拉"吃完成身都是印度味‧‧‧"我猶豫著"這間不會的"朋友的眼神非常堅定在港島瘋狂SHOPPING之前,我們終於決定了吃印度菜‧‧‧印度菜以咖哩以及大量香料作調味聞名,甚至連飯或烤餅(NAAN)等主食也添加重口味的調味,但求刺激味蕾。但對愛美的港女來說,只是夏日的汗味已經花光了一整瓶香水了‧‧‧好的,第一印象也不錯,很陽光很印度印度餐廳也很環保啊,無扇葉電風扇送風一流但又不會像冷氣那麼耗電,加印象分!餐廳的選擇很多,而且還有牛肉,因為牛是神聖的動物,印度人絕不會吃。但為遷就香港人口味,似乎他們也妥協了。神聖的MANGO LASSI每桌必點!因為有YOGURT的關係非常解辣,而且口感順滑,濃稠綿密,加上少量冰塊對濃郁度影響不大。這是芝士菠菜還是菠菜芝士?沒有吃到的菠菜原來溶成了醬汁,就像菠菜湯的味道,底下的芝士並不如想像中綿密,反而口感彈牙,就像豆腐卜一樣。不過吃起來就不像外間的芝士菠菜那麼滯膩,芝士口感清新得來很爽,令人吃完還想再吃。印度名菜中BUTTER CHICKEN估有著十分祟高的地位,再少量的牛油加進不辣的咖哩中烹煮,十分惹味醇厚,但不會太漏,口感濃厚卻不會太咸,香料也只是點綴式地放入,雞肉也沒有用醃料把雞的原味和口感搶走,雞肉依然嫰滑,舌頭卻沒有OVERLOAD,感覺就非常迎合香港人口味。想不到NAAN已經進化到這個地步了,NAAN通常就配上蒜蓉等重口味材料,這裡就連白人的黑松露也用上。黑松露的香氣比蒜蓉更甚,上桌時已經聞到,不用鐵板就已經把香味送到鼻子裡,NANN軟身易撕,不點任何醬汁才能嘗到它最原始的味道啊!…查看更多

Just wanted something special on a special day.Yogurt seems a must drink to go with curry.  I found this yogurt base Mango Lassi in the menu matches my choice.The light orange colour gave a cheerful start for the meal. The fresh mango drink mingled with yogurt aroused appetite.  I found the ice were in a slightly long dough shape--so interesting.I tried my favourite Samosa first.  There were 3 in a dish. The crust was very very crispy and hot.  The cone-shape was kept well lining on the white plate.  That showed they were made to order. They were fully filled with potatos and peas.  Crispy outside, soft and hot inside.  Yummy Yummy Yummy!!!They went with a green dipping and sided with carrot strings.  Nice colour combination and eye catching presentation.  The dipping was only slightly spicy.Here came the soup, the Mushroom Soup -- an oridinary name with distint taste.It was sweet at the first sip - so unexpected!!Bravely, I tried the second sip.  Wow! I did not feel it so sweet this time. The strong mushroom flavour emerged.  I liked it so much that I cleaned the bowl and....I forgot to take a photo of it, Ha...Ha!The Fish Tikka, I liked it to be boneless, Ha, Ha!It was sizzling hot on a hot plate when served.  They were not alone.  Large fish chunks sat on the onion and cabbage pieces, topped with carrot slices.The onion slices, though raw, yet succulent, sweet and crispy -- so refreshing!The fish chunks were barbecued, marinated in spices.  They were tender but not dried.The Prawn Masala was cooked in masala sauce.  It was more spicy than the other dishes. Again not plain in colour with dashes of parsley.The prawns were large and chewy (爽口彈牙). They were shelled already but with the shell tails on which made them looked pretty.  I did not expect such a Chinese way of presentation in an Indian dish. Nice!The sauce was also good to go with more plain naan or rice.Oh, how could I forget the Black Truffle Naan.  I have never come across naan with truffle. The truffle sauce elevated the naan to the next level.  The truffle sauce was aromatic.  The dark dots of truffle made the Naan extraordinary. The texture of the naan itself was fluffy and fulfilling.Every story should have a sweet ending. (drum row   )Actually very curious about the taste of an Indian ice cream -- Kulfi.The menu says it was flavoured with almond and saffron.  Saffron? Such precious ingredient in an ice cream of $40?The texture was a bit harder than the ordinary ice cream when served, yet not thick as compared with Turkish ice cream Dondurma.An appearance of an icicle in white and red  ( I chose to believe it to be saffron ).I did not taste the almond flavour but rather coconut flavour instead with grainy ingredients.  I asked the waitress whether the grains were coconut but she said no.Whatever, I like it.…查看更多

同小女兒到北角上playgroup前先去醫飽個肚! 近日天氣不太穏定, 都是在地鐵站附近以策安全。發現這家 Tulsi Indian Restaurant 似曾相識, 想起上個月曾光顧一間在大學站附近的Tulsi Wine and Bar, 味道及環境都不錯的。大家都叫Tulsi, 應該同一集團吧?! 加上見食客不少, 快快入去食飽飽!餐廳環境不太大, 勝在門面光鮮而且佈置整潔。牆上的印度佈置, 印度食客及店員令這小店充滿印度風情。主餐牌印刷精美, 圖片吸引。雖然星期日沒有午餐, 但主餐牌食物價錢都太衆化。食物選擇豐富, 連牛肉都有供應?!TANDOORI LAMB CHOP $158每次食印度菜必叫的燒羊架! 這裡的燒羊架有4件, 用鐵板熱辣辣地送上, 非常大煙而且香味撲鼻。羊架被厚厚的香料包著, 未食已聞到其香料味, 咬下去口腔被喜印度獨特香濃的香料味充滿, 加上羊架肉質嫩滑, 美味無窮!椰香咖哩雞$72椰香味豐富,咖哩香濃惹味。咖哩比較潔身,頗有口感。牛油薄餅$22及芝士薄餅$22薄餅鬆軟熱辣辣。點了2款味道,牛油薄餅味有香濃牛油味。但是,芝士味的薄餅裹面有些黃色的東西,食落唔似芝士,以為是蛋,又未有蛋味。羊肉通心棒$84把羊肉切碎後做成的羊肉棒, 中間是空心的, 賣相似香腸。味道不及燒羊架豐富惹味,感覺一般Mango lassi $34這飲品專為我家女兒而叫, 味道酸酸甜甜, 十分開胃.食完先發覺牆上掛了些獎狀, 原來係米芝蓮推介, 真係失覺晒。米芝蓮午餐只需百元一位, 真係平到笑! …查看更多

雖然很喜歡吃印度烤薄餅,但平日甚少食印度菜,因為很難找到正宗的印度菜,始終女生還是會比較害怕重慶大廈這個地方,因此一直都卻步了。但是這間位於北角七姊妹道的「羅勒印度餐廳」得到米芝蓮推介,所以就決定要試試!店內不算大,坐位可能會較擠擁,但是環境很有特色,燈飾都很有印度的風格。而且環境不會太明亮,晚上很有情調。 店內侍應都是印度人,但放心,MENU是有中文的。這裡的價錢不太貴,能夠以經濟的價錢享受到米芝蓮推介的食物,真的一流!這個是我極度推介的「焗香滑雞槌」($80),是去骨的!!!而且鐵板上,來的時候還是冒著煙「炸~」的聲音,雞槌真的很滑,沒有雪味,超讚!去骨方面真的很照顧到女生,這樣就不會怕食相很嚇人啦 (笑)這是「印度炒飯」($38),價錢非常實惠的一個炒飯!發現印度的炒飯是粒粒分明的,無論是就這樣吃還是混合咖哩一起吃都各有特色。而且炒飯加了不同的香料所以很香,很特別的味道,推薦!這是「瑪沙拉牛肉」($80),因為我們不吃羊的關係所以就只點了雞和牛。「瑪沙拉」是印度的特色醬汁,味道很香很特別,這是不辣的喔!牛肉都不錯,不會太韌,都很易咬開,很很喜歡瑪沙拉的醬汁,味道是我從來未試過的。來吃印度菜,又怎會少得印度名菜「咖哩雞」($72)!起初會怕印度咖哩會很辣,始終我還是不太能受到很辣的食物,但原來我的擔心是多餘的!這裡的咖啡不會很辣,連我這個完全不能吃辣的人都接受得到。比起辣,這裡的咖哩是很香,雞很滑,伴著烤餅一起吃真的很有印度特色。吃咖哩,當然不會缺少烤餅!我們點了「乾果椰子烤餅」($24),共有4片。烤餅的感覺不太像乾果椰子,但餡料很足而且很鬆軟,烤得很香,味道很好,覺得這款烤餅和咖哩很搭。飲品方面,這個「Mango Lassi」($34) 絕對是一定要試的印度特色飲品!簡單來說就是芒果奶昔,但味道是鮮味中帶點鹹,一入口首先的感覺是少許鹹味,之後會覺得味道有點像楊枝金露,接著就會有芒果的味道。很多重的感覺,非常特別,很新奇的飲品!另外還點了「Chocolate Smoothie」($34),朱古力味很香濃,而且甜甜的,味道不錯。邊吃飯邊喝著這杯Chocolate Smoothie,咖哩的辣味頓時消去。這裡無論環境和服務都很好,食物更是一流,難怪成為米芝蓮推介!吃了這麼多東西連加一服務費才只要$398,真的超值!以經濟實惠的價錢享受到優質的食物和服務,這餐的感覺非常好,下次一定要再來!…查看更多
