有位住在觀塘區的朋友生日，她又喜歡食雞煲，所以就邀請朋友到為食火鍋公司慶生喇。餐廳位置方便，位於觀塘，距離牛頭角港鐵站步行約8分鐘。餐廳裝修以狗仔哥基為主題，狗仔圖案滿佈餐廳，好cute cute。餐廳座位寬躺，整潔乾淨。我book座位時預留了卡位位置，座位闊落，十分舒適。今次點了$298為食套餐，很多食物喔。飲品是可以無限添加的。Round 1是小食，有甜蕃薯條、蟹籽沙律、鮑汁雞腳等選擇，鮑汁雞腳味道不錯喔。Round 2 是三點刺身盛合，三文魚很新鮮。接著到Round3頭盤，可選擇為食酸菜魚(一次性)，或寵寵雞煲。當然點了壽星女喜愛的雞煲。辣醬汁分幾級的，點了BB辣。我們把其他配料如牛栢葉、豬皮、魷魚、芫茜、蒜頭粒等，與雞混在一起撈。一會兒，熱辣辣的雞煲煮好了，好夠鑊氣，賣相又very good。我們order左2 round雞煲。好快到了Round 4火鍋時間，揀了高湯牛尾湯底。火鍋海鮮拼盤食材豐富，包括脆肉鯇魚片、鮮蝦、生蠔、蜆等等，食材頗新鮮。其他火鍋食物有魚旦、雲吞、韮菜餃、魚皮餃、豬肉丸、牛丸、生根、鵝腸等。值得一提的是牛肉拼盤肉質，特別是雪花一口牛。至於菜籃有粟米、金菇、生菜、紅蘿蔔等。今次寵寵雞煲火鍋套餐，食到舔舔脷，值得推介給朋友。下次會試下酸菜魚。…Read More

The newly opened Chinese restaurant inside the Wan Chai Exhibition Centre is a must-try for those who have been faithful followers of Chinese cuisine. Their dishes open your eyes to the wonder of ingredient mixing and cooking style fusion in ways that put you in awe. The elegant decoration, ornaments, lighting, etc. offered me a strong sense of what ancient Chinese catering is like. The staff and service were beyond satisfactory. Wow, I have never been to a sashimi seafood hotpot buffet and this buy one get one free M5 Australian hotpot buffet deal offered from Mon to Thurs full day is unparalleled. Don’t worry if you can’t come on these days, they are also doing half priced for one person if you come in twos from Fri to Sun in the evening - ‘M5和牛海鮮盛宴星期一至四全日買一送一，而星期五六日晚市優惠二人同行一人半價’ Isn’t this a fantastic deal on offer? They even let you choose between 120 or 150 mins depending on how hungry or busy you are! I came here with a friend and seeing how worth it the deal was, we picked the C3 Australian Wagyu Meal. Honestly, it was really one of a kind. This deal came with Australian M5 Wagyu, Beef Chuck, U.S. Imported Beef, Berkshire Pork, and Pork Belly Slices, satisfying those of you who want to relish in the realm of pork and beef. The meet looked fresh and finely cut, wonderful for shabu shabu. All you have to do is swipe the meat lightly and submerge it just a bit into the hotpot to enjoy it. It didn’t even take more than 10 seconds until you can have a nice bite of it. The colour of the meat was nice and each cut was so even, making It a top-notch presentation and dining experience. The meat wasn’t chewy and literally melted in our mouths, it was also tender and we went through plates and plates of meat very fast. It was our great first shabu shabu experience. There was also a variety of hotpot bases to choose from, with so many in front of our eyes, of course it was very difficult to make a decision. At last, we went for the mix soup (which requires an extra $20 for each pot) with the kimchi soup and tomato lobster seafood soup (also requires an extra $20 for each pot). This soup mix was such a wonderful mix with a little spice in half the pot and rich seafood base in another (even came with lobsters!), lightly dipping the meat into the soup gave them a fusion of Asian and Western style. We strongly recommend you to try this combo but other bases looked amazing too. The colour of the soup was so attractive and it was bright orange, the stack of meat on the side made us totally salivate. You can even drink the soup without feeling thirsty and you can ask for more soup once it’s dried. Moreover, ordering with an easy QR code system also greatly enhanced the experience and it reduced waiting time by a lot. The range of vegetables, cold meat, noodles , and drinks to pick from was also astounding, feel free to go for anything you like and pair them with the delicious soup base! We particularly liked the taro, corn and mushrooms as they soaked up the soap to a T and tasted mushy. We got some beer and herbal tea and oh wow, we were sure other drinks, e.g., wine, soft drinks can also go equally as well with the meal so do try them our next time! Additionally, the free flow sashimi, e.g., salmon, clams, prawns, oysters they had on offer were super fresh and they came quick once ordered so the quality was ensured. Not only that, they also provided a long list of cooked items, such as chicken wings, tempura, which dare I say can make you feel totally overwhelmed. Don’t forget to go for at least a round of desserts before you go, the Movenpick ice cream and jelly went hand in hand together so don’t miss out! I have been to Pizza Express numerous times and have been a fan of them ever since the first time.  I have long wanted to try their Peking duck pizza and Seafood pizza, one with tomato sauce and one without to explore the contrast. For these two pizzas, they may be a tad more expensive than other pizzas you can see on the menu but trust me, it will be worth it. First talking about the Peking duck pizza, I already had a hunch that it’s gonna be great before it came and obviously, it turned out just wow, the pizza base, i.e., the hoisin sauce tasted exactly like if you were to have Peking duck at a Chinese restaurant. Although it was a little sad that there was only one slice of duck on each pizza, the toppings and presentation were impeccable. Also, the slice of duck was still sizeable. The pizza was also a little spicy which made me fell in love with it even more. As a person who doesn’t normally eat crust, I was totally comfortable with eating their Italian pizza crust, soft but crusty on the outside and super easy to eat with the core of the pizza. The Seafood pizza posed a different style, it had a tomato base but it wasn’t overpowering at all and in fact complemented the seafood great. Their novel design of adding anchovy paste into the base gave the pizza a really ‘seafood’ base vibe. They were also generous with the seafood and they tasted marvellous, the combination of seafood, e.g., prawn, clam, octopus really went very well with one another. My friend and I had been strolling along Sheung Wan under the big boiling sun and it occurred to us that we may want something Western to share amongst us. There was actually a number of restaurants to choose from but we decided to give this a shot because of the fancy looking facade. Once we stepped foot in the restaurant, the friendly staff invited us in, the lights and music also immediately put us in a good mood to just sit down and relax. Their captivating layout was also what caught our attention - the paintings, vinyl discs, and wine cupboard really did give this place an artistic vibe. What’s better were their plates and utensils which really made the atmosphere Victorian-esque. Once we got seated, they offered us two cups of iced cold water which totally quenched our thirst.   Although they didn’t have a big menu, all their items looked equally interesting to us and it was difficult for us to decide on one. For easier sharing, we finally picked the Black Truffle Rib-Eye Sandwich ($135), served with French fries. Seeing that we had two people, the staff kindly asked if we wanted to have the sandwich halved and we gladly accepted the offer. It didn’t take long until this sizzling dish got delivered to our table. Wow, what a sight, we were impressed by the rib eye, tasted super juicy, tender and almost like hand pulled. The Italian black truffle aioli and melted cheddar cheese gave the sandwich even an extra kick. I normally don’t go for French Baguette for fear it would taste too hard, though, it was a pleasant surprise that they managed to give the Baguette a crispy toast and it also gave the black truffle rib eye a perfect spin. The fries were served with tomato sauce on a mini flowery plate, it was a cute design and I have only come across tomato sauce served in a ramekin which sometimes can make it difficult to dip your fries in. The fries were well-salted and crunchy, serving as a great addition to the Baguette. Although the fries may look ordinary to you, they were one of the best we had ever tried and I’m sure you will make the same verdict upon trying. The ambient music playing in the background rendering us staying there for a little longer cause we were hooked to the cozy atmosphere. My friend and I went there for an early lunch and were the first few customers of the day. We weren’t feeling too hungry so we decided to share the dishes. We agreed on the Truffle Cheese Portobello Beef Burger ($130) and Melted Cheese Twister Fries ($60). It didn’t take too long for them to come and the burger was massive, sliced in two halves which totally suited our need. The sauce was just enough without overpowering the taste of the portobello and patty. The buns were overall larger than the ingredients that were wedged between them so the burger stayed steady throughout without falling apart. The twister fries although definitely was heavy, tasted cheesy and crunchy, even better when paired with the tobasco sauce. The burger and fries were enough for the both of us so my advice is to order less at the start and reassess your need until your half-way through to avoid food wastage. As a fan of Eating, I checked for deals to go on lunch with a friend of mine and White Hse. was at 50% off. The restaurant is in the building rather on ground level which we found surprising at first. The layout was white filled with photogenic flowers, the restaurant also played Disney and princess-esque songs to match its theme. The menu booklet looked very pretty and it appeared that this restaurant mainly do pastas as their top-selling dishes so we went for the Double Cheese Orecchtette with bacon tu cream sauce ($118) to try out this kind of pasta that was novel to us. We added a Super Spicy Tomato Risotto with bacon ($109) as well, we felt that they must have put a lot of effort into making the sauces as they paired with the pasta and rice really well. I like yogurt because it is so rich in probiotics and as advertised, it is such a healthy bomb. Also, this is less sweet than ice cream so this is a guilt-free pleasure. I came with a friends and we wanted to try the five layers yogurt ($53) and there we gave it a go. We went for the milo, original, and strawberry flavours which came with two toppings, and we tried the brownies and mochi. We enjoyed it a lot and we recommend 5 layers as opposed to 6 ($58) which could save 5 dollars. The milo flavoured yogurt was more wet than the original flavour, that aside, it tasted so chocolatey, yum.
