I used to like this restaurant due to its decor, foods and friendly staff. I’ve come here several times for lunch and today for brunch with two friends. Everything was good till my friend ordered a peppermint tea. It was served it a beautiful metal teapot and it’s quite a big serving, hence my friend asked the waiter for another cup so she can share with my another friend. Surprisingly her request was declined by the waiter saying that their tea is just for one person and so he refused to give her a cup. What a silly rule?! We paid for the tea and who cares how many people we wanted to share with. With this note, the waiter definitely ruined the atmosphere and we just wrapped up our brunch quickly and left.…Read More

I just love this cozy place, their good just go smacking my good. Love their pizza in their original base and thin crust. They managed to make them juicy yet the base still crusty. They taste just like the authentic italian taste. While their pasta is Al-Dante , I mean it’s real Al-Dante not like many italian restaurants in HK which they have customized it to local taste, which is a bit soft or stodgy.One thing I can pick on if I would is their desserts. It’s a bit lame compared to their appetizers and mains. This is one of the few western restaurants in Hong Kong that I feel that the chef actually cook with soul. I personally like their pasta, which was cooked to andante. Their thin crush pizzas are not bad either. Their crush still crispy after almost two hours. However their chips were a bit disappointed. As I was expected home cooked chunky chips but it’s those shop bought skinny chips.Their service was excellent, friendly and attentive staff. I came here last Wed afternoon, it was quite busy but still managed to get a seat without waiting. I ordered a hot house coffee and a cheese and tomato croissant.The coffee is very average in terms of taste, quite weak and with a sour after taste, I’d say similar standard with Starbucks. Not really my liking as I hate weak coffee esp with sour note. While the cheese and tomato croissant, it’s a big disappointment. The croissant is abviously those supermarkets ought, which cake in 5-6 per pack and they just oven toasted them. What made it worst is they over toasted it till it’s so dried out and flaky. It’s a punishment to eat it.Comes to the interior design. Undoubtedly it’s quite refreshing and different from most cafe in Hong Kong, which is an encouragement to see something unique in this city. We came here for unlimited fries, beers and wings on a fri happy hour, we arrived at 5.30pm, it’s super crowded as they only opened up the bar area. Ver Limited staff working, only 3 there and so expected delayed in serving and some grumpy faces. The staff we’re friendly at all with the female manager was especially grumpy. I was well impressed by this restaurant from the moment I stepped in. The decor was unique yet tastefully done. I love the featured wall, which was full of handmade sake cups, none of them looks the same. I secretly wanted to own some of them (schhhhh).Other than the interior, their foods were equally impressive too. We tried their 4-course soft opening tasting menu. I chose prawn as my main while my friends picked sous vide cooked beef. While the starter was seared scallops with crispy bacon and squid ink cracker. The scallop was crispy from outside and juicy inside, it’s cooked to perfection. The second course was ravioli soaked and clear chicken broth. And dessert was just divine, we picked a black sesame mouse cake, vegan kumquat tart and a lemon tart with long black coffee. I do admit I have sweet tooth and very particular with my dessert. These desserts were to die for, they not only looked amazing but taste too.The story didn’t end here. There’s pottery workshop available here too. However it took them almost 15 mins to get me plate and cutlery as I arrived later than my frds. Furthermore staff there will not come to refill the water till after several times of calls.
