行過見到新餐廳,餐牌夠短,貴精不貴多,入去一試。坐低先知原來前身係響九如方多年的Paul’s kitchen。大大個招牌寫住用心做好沙嗲牛,就試呢個。如果話”超乎想像”其實都不正確,身為香港人由細到大食沙爹牛,根本從來無想像過沙爹牛麵可以係咩樣。牛用美國Angus beef,靚牛,煮得剛好。配菜有炸舞茸茹,有創意,炸得幾好,不油膩。湯底係真沙爹味,好多餐廳都係買沙爹醬加水,上網查下點煮沙爹湯底,或者來食一次,你會知道味道可以幾豐富。麵,係餐廳特登揾麵廠製作,望落似公仔麵樣的拉麵,正因為佢似公仔麵曲曲地,比平日日本拉麵多一種口感。要讚下旁邊任食的漬物,柚子薑和蓮藕,很用心。其實有時覺得香港人口味或消費習慣幾奇怪,成日對日本拉麵店趨之若鶩,同樣配料份量的日本拉麵肯定過$100,呢碗沙爹牛$90。附近茶記閒閒地$60-70 但食材一定唔係呢個成本比例。無意貶低拉麵,而且蘋果同橙不一樣,拉麵湯底本地人有時覺得偏咸,呢間難得在真正迎合港人口味。用心之作,新comfort food 之選。…Read More

很多小店告急,趁午飯時間盡量周圍幫襯幫襯。呢間小店鄰近大學,可能因為停課生意都受影響。我專程嚟過幾次買外賣,每次都係食經典漢堡,永遠都係最簡單最經典。人流咁少,小店都堅持開店,用心製作每一個burger,漢堡扒鎖住肉汁,絶無誇張,中間塊生菜令我想起LA 著名的in n out。淨係個包唔使$50,加埋薯條飲品唔使$70,何苦中環俾$80-150 幫襯所謂美國牌名店,仲要個包成日俾汁浸到濕晒(我覺得係醬汁,不是肉汁)。值得一讚的是有素食漢堡,很同路人的considerate。年青人開的店,有理想有堅持有質素,萬一不幸touchwood 執笠絕對係大家損失。…Read More

午飯時間上到嚟,叫了嗰時令刺身丼。甜蝦墨魚鮮到不得了,響香港本身好少日本餐廳有得食墨魚,加上疫情困在香港,唯有食咗當去咗日本,好感動。墨魚配上薑蓉同蔥更顯細緻。疫症下很多餐廳生意都少了,入貨要keep 住新鮮的成本更加高昂。個飯絕對非一般外賣質素,食得出係靚米(好多外賣壽司店個飯係白飯加個酸字)。要讚下豉油酸薑Wasabi食得出店主對質量有要求。見個餐牌上面仲有好多時令刺身,可以散叫壽司,呢個價錢絕對比同樣質素餐廳平至少三成。午餐有其他熟食,薄切牛肉飯、日式雞扒飯、漢堡扒飯等等,勁吸引,$50-$60 好多選擇。刺身丼$50-$100都有,絕對係方便街坊,豐儉由人。店面細但好整齊好乾淨,standing table 配high chair 幾鬆動,大概可以坐5-7 人。店員服務態度超級好。店員話外賣app都有得叫。呢個價錢絕對係中西區性價比之選,仲要難得係同路人,更加要落力支持。…Read More

成日想encore呢間斯里蘭卡菜. 唔覺唔覺拖下拖下竟然比我上一次光顧過左一年. 十分萬幸的是小店依舊在同一地點經營. 依然是同一對夫妻檔- 同一位廚師同一位侍應. 今次因爲趕時間買了外賣. 炒薄餅+ 牛肉咖喱+ ice tea Lunchset $70 同記憶一樣依然十分有鑊氣 (其實比很多以鑊氣作賣點的大排檔出色) 依然辣得十分過癮香料味道十分豐富 而且食完唔口渴一定冇味精香港小店經營不易. 尤其是中上環地區. 要提醒自己不要抱著僥倖的心態. 要及時支持小店. 多多享受用心制作的食物! …Read More

As a big fan of pasta, I think this is  one of the best choices in town with consistent quality.  The menu is simple with about 8 choices but definitely good enough in term of variety. Ask waitress for wine recommendation if you want to have drinks. She got me a glass of white wine to pair with the mildly spicy orecchiette which I found very good. What made me like this place so much is the "freshness" of pasta (while you probably can easily find al-dente in other places in HK but not freshness). Another highlight is the dessert - silky smooth tiramisu with a very "vanilla-tasted" vanilla gelato. I went there for dinner on a Thur and Sat night before. Nice ambience. Oh forgot to say about the bread basket - you can tell even the cold cut on the side is something with quality.  Apparently the restaurant is opened by a chef who previously worked in 8 1/2. 自從夏銘記結業後喺油麻地電影中心睇完戲成日諗唔到食乜後來發現行去佐敦食佳佳都不是太遠今日有新發現!! 平時食crepe 通常上環或灣仔LA 食. 我在香港居住的法國朋友都話佢去開. 算係夠地道今日呢間有法國老闆自己親手用心製作絕對變成我首選叫左個主食crepe goat cheese 加蔬菜. 完全唔會滯. 之後再加個甜品crepe. 1st time to order delivery from this restaurant. We ordered crab cake as starter, chicken pesto pizza, salmon pasta and mushroom risotto. We found that only the pizza's rather "reasonably" seasoned.  The other 3 dishes were way too salty that we could not stop drinking water and we didn't finish the food. Given 4 of us shared the same feeling, I believe it's really too salty by common people's standard. I have never dined in this restaurant (or other Oolaa).
