老荔冰室 (荔枝角)荔枝角青山道495號誠信中心地下1號舖荔枝角工業區隱藏著不少平民美食,今日獨自走到青山道「老荔冰室」,試了招牌「阿媽足料花膠雞米粉」(連飲品$70),竟吃出驚喜。花膠絕對是亮點——長過手掌,厚身飽滿,咬落軟糯彈牙,毫無腥氣,份量足有兩大塊,以這價錢來說相當罕見。雞肉亦入味軟滑,並非普通冰鮮貨色,吸附湯汁後更顯鮮美。米粉煮得剛好,軟硬適中,聽說還可轉茍弱麵,自由度十足。最難得是那碗湯底:金黃濃郁,明顯是慢火熬煮的老火湯底,膠質豐盈,每一口都充滿骨膠原的黏唇感。不知不覺便喝到見底,滿足感滿分。在現今百物騰貴的香港,七十元能吃到真材實料的花膠雞湯米,還有誠意十足的飲品配搭,絕對是區內高性價比之選。會再來試其他款式!…Read More

泰船 (上水)上水符興街1號地下B及C號舖位於上水符興街的「泰船」,店面雖小,卻是街角一抹濃郁的泰式風情。今日一試,菜品有驚喜亦有遺憾,值得細說。首推招牌船麵,湯頭濃郁辛香,香料層次分明,喝得出熬煮的用心。餐牌上標示「肥牛」,店家卻換作牛肉片,若肉質更佳、牛味再濃些,便更完美。不過以價錢而言,仍屬高質之選。可惜香葉肉碎煎蛋飯令人失望。泰式這道飯,精髓在於脆邊蛋與香料交織的風味,這裡卻兩者皆失。蛋煎得不夠香脆,肉碎僅以羅勒輕炒,未見其他香料提味,更糟的是蠔油下手過重,且未炒勻,入口盡是突兀的蠔油味,可說是失敗之作。幸好半價優惠的蝦餅挽回一城,即叫即炸,外皮酥脆,內裡蝦肉彈牙,蘸上酸甜醬,十分可口。整體而言,為了那碗誠意十足的船麵,絕對值得再訪;至於香葉肉碎飯,則暫且繞道而行。…Read More
