I tried this place with a friend last Sunday. The raw / cooked oysters were fresh and of very good quality. Five stars for those no doubt. However, aside from oysters, the menu was very limited in comparison with other izakaya’s. We ordered some karaage (chicken and squid) and the batter seemed to be heavily MSG laden. Their flavored whiskey highball and shōchū cocktails also tasted more like fruit juices - we suspect they did not add enough alcohol when preparing our drinks. Ambience wise, the tables were very small and could hardly fit more than two big plates at any point in time - so in a way we were forced to eat pretty quickly to make room for new orders as and when they arrived. The air-conditioning was very cold, and the place was literally like a freezer. This restaurant probably spared no expenses in procuring quality oysters - thumbs up for that. But other “software” (menu choice, ambience, temperature etc …) definitely has room for improvements. Just as an example, a few waiting staff said “arigatō gozaimashita” (Japanese for “thank you”) to us when we left, but they either mispronounced the word or missed a few syllables. I guess if they are not real Japanese speakers to begin with, it’s totally acceptable to say thank you in Cantonese or English. Nice ambience with spacious seating. The food was nice, main course portions were generous and waiting staff were courteous and knowledgeable. We chose their weekend brunch this time. It would be interesting to try out their set menus with wine pairing if and when we visit again in the future. A great experience all in all. …查看更多

I have been been a regular customer at this place for quite a long time. Food quality and prices are reasonable. The female owner, however, has always been rude and arrogant. Her attitude seems to have got much worse in recent months - to the extent that I finally decided not to bear with her anymore. During my latest visit earlier this week, the female owner yelled at her staff quite a few times and kept urging me to leave - even though the restaurant was only 30% full. When I politely explained that I needed time to finish my meal as the soup was very hot (temperature wise), she started looking away and making curses. When I finally paid my bill, she angrily tossed the change on the table as if she wanted to make some sort of protests. I will no longer patronize this place anymore. I tried to order a dessert. The cashier was busy and told me to return in 10 minutes. I returned after 10 minutes and the counter was still closed. I politely asked whether I should continue waiting, and the cashier literally shouted at me, saying that she was busy. If the shop is short-handed, they should just politely tell customers that they would not take new orders until further notice. They should not tell customers to come back in a few minutes and then rudely dismiss them when customers are just strictly following what they said. I ordered a hot Americano yesterday but my drink never came. At the same time, the barista kept shouting “Grande Iced Americano” but no one went to the counter to pick that up. After waiting for over 10 minutes, I approached the barista and politely asked her if my order had been mixed up. She insisted that I ordered an iced Americano, and I clarified that that wasn’t the case. She then grudgingly agreed to redo my order (“咁咪幫你整個杯囉！”). There was no apology whatsoever and she deliberately stared away from me when I talked to her. And believe it or not, that wasn’t even the end of the story. When my hot Americano was finally ready, she pushed my cup over to me but shouted “Hazelnut Latte”. I was not sure whether she got my order right this time, and as such I politely asked her for clarifications again. She did not acknowledge my question. Nor did she give me any answers either. When I asked for the second time, she rudely snapped “Mister, I gave you this cup ... and this is your cup ! You do not need to ask again” (先生，我俾得呢杯俾你，就係你嘅喇！你唔洗係度問！). I had a sip, saw that it was indeed a hot Americano and then left the counter. The place was understaffed when I went and I can imagine the stress that the staff were facing, but all along I was very polite with the barista ... saying “please” and “thank you” quite a few times. Even tho Pacific Coffee is more or less a fast food type of place, by no means was I expecting such rude service. I certainly did not do anything wrong to deserve such treatment either ! Tried this place a few years ago and didn't quite like it back then. Earlier this week some Thai friends were in town and we just wandered into this place since there aren't that many other choices in the area when it comes to dessert. The double boiled milk pudding ( 燉奶 ) appeared to be made from milk powder, while the sesame and coconut dessert ( 芝麻椰汁糕 ) tasted like a mix of chemical sesame powder and artificially flavoured coconut milk. This was very disappointing and definitely not worth the premium price that they were charging. We politely asked the waiter to take a photo for us and our request got ignored as the guy said he was busy ( even though at one point we were the only guests in this small place ). This establishment really seems to take pride in being rude to its customers, and at the same time the desserts seriously taste horrible with strong hints of artificial flavourings. I think it might have been a place with some fame in the past but with the current quality and attitude I'm just not sure how they could possibly maintain their brand equity going forward. …查看更多

Very nice and authentic Peruvian cuisine - similar to what I had in Latin America two years ago. Courteous and friendly service. The Leche de Tigre sauce is amazing !…查看更多
