The star was undoubtedly the Fried King Squid Tteok-bokki. The long, cylindrical rice cakes were wonderfully chewy with a satisfyingly soft-yet-firm texture, perfectly absorbing the rich, savoury, and subtly sweet gochujang sauce. Packed with ingredients, each bite was a delight.The Honey Garlic Roasted Chicken was another highlight, boasting a deliciously potent garlic sauce. My only note: crispier fried garlic would elevate the texture from great to sublime. Be mindful of the 90-minute dining rule, which limits long chats. ⭐️⭐️ Okay Food, But Abysmal and Rushed Service

The food here is decent and okay, but the overall experience was severely marred by some of the worst service I've encountered, especially for a self-service establishment.Confusing & Unhelpful Start: Upon arrival, there was no host or clear signage. The only instruction was a small, handwritten note in Chinese on the window above eye level, instructing customers to get a number and wait outside. As non-Chinese speakers, we found this confusing and exclusionary. After a 20-minute wait with zero guidance, we were finally called in.Total Self-Service (Even When Struggling): We were left to find our own way to the second floor, only to discover we had to go back down to the first floor to order. The self-service aspect is extreme: you must collect your own plates, cutlery, tissues, and water and carry everything upstairs yourself. At one point, a waiter watched me struggle up a narrow staircase with plates in one hand and two glasses of water in the other and offered no assistance.Rushed and Intrusive: The staff were overly eager to clear plates, coming by multiple times while there was still food left. It felt less like attentive service and more like they were impatient for us to finish.The Final Straw: The 90-Minute Limit Fiasco: We placed our order at the cashier at 12:37 PM (confirmed by my card transaction). The restaurant has a 90-minute limit, which we were aware of. However, they started reminding us to leave at 1:50 PM. The most shocking part came at 1:59 PM, when a waitress literally brought the next group of customers to stand beside our table to pressure us to leave.When I questioned this, I was told the 90-minute timer started from the moment we stepped into the cafe, not from when we ordered or received our food. This is an utterly unreasonable policy. It completely discounts the time spent waiting to order, waiting for food to be prepared, and handling all the self-service logistics yourself.To be "kicked out" by having another party standing over you is incredibly rude and disrespectful.Conclusion: The food is passable, but it's not worth the stressful, confusing, and frankly inhospitable experience. If you have a strict 90-minute policy, it must be clearly communicated and fairly calculated from the time you sit down with your food. 我一直都好鍾意跑馬地竹園海鮮飯店,以前一個月至少會幫襯一次。嗰度服務好好,雖然價錢有時唔太清晰,但海鮮價一向都係咁,加上出品好,所以我都照常去。自從跑馬地分店結業後,覺得有啲可惜,知道上環有分店,就特登去試下。海鮮價一如既往。舉例説明, 唔見有價目表清晰列明海鮮價格。你問蝦幾千斤,佢會答你兩三百啦。至於幾錢,埋單先知。不過今次體驗最大嘅落差係…之前喺網上見到一啲負評,提到收費問題,當時我冇太在意(大概只是個案)。但今次埋單時,發現張單多咗一隻豉油雞嘅錢(我哋完全冇叫過),於是同店員反映,佢哋之後都好快調整返,減返三百幾蚊。雖然可能只係一時手誤,但作為熟客,的確有少少失望。我平時好少刻意對單,尤其係對老字號,所以冇諗過會發生咁嘅情況。呢度好多大group人聚餐或公司聚餐,好容易走漏眼。所以,提醒呢度食飯,一定要對單, 對單, 對單!另外,感覺服務同以前有啲唔同。以前跑馬地分店會主動問食唔食糖水,而家就要自己開口問。雖然係小事,但整體體驗的確冇以前咁貼心。人均消費五百幾蚊,到底應該有咩期望?可能而家真係要重新諗諗。…Read More

It’s a Sunday morning that I just wanted to get a coffee and enjoy some Me time. But this cafe could possibly offer the worst environment among the Pacific Coffee I’ve been. The tables are less than an arm far away, meaning I am listening to the table one side teaching musical theory on one side and two old women talking about their family issues on the table next to me on the other side. I don’t claim them sharing their own privacy publicly but the environment setup in the cafe is so wrong. What I see is that the cafe, in order to host more guests, sacrifices customers’ comfort. Understand people takes the cafe for various reasons, some use it as the study room, some use it as the place to meet and greet friends, some use it to make friends...whatever reasons, just respect each other (and keep your privacy to your own self). Overall, the cafe is supposed to make it possible through its store environment and service level. If it’s just a coffee stand, it’s acceptable. It’s a cafe that serves $40 coffee, which is not what people expect for the value, service, and environment provided. 皇帝蟹 ($480一斤) 很鮮味,和花雕蛋白一齊煮,可以帶出食物本身的鮮味。五斤二的螃可以兩食。蟹膏可以炒飯,其他可以拿來花雕蛋白蒸。扇貝可以粉絲蒜蓉蒸。啖啖肉。牡丹蝦就用左刺身。加wasabi及醬油已經好好味。不過唔夠鮮甜,肉質還可以。是日就是食了三種海鮮,4個人,人均900 到 1000蚊。來西貢吃海鮮,由於外面購買回來餐廳吃也是要收加工費, 所以寧願給多點錢直接在餐廳購買。進入餐廳之前,招攬客人的sales在外面說「套餐,不收茶介不收加一」可是我們不想點套餐想直接選擇海鮮,那人就說「也是可以免茶介面加一還送水果,入去啦,幫你地免」。父母很想試試皇帝蟹,所以就坐低了。皇帝蟹$480一斤,最小也要5斤多,暫且不說稱重已經被偷幾兩 ,一隻蟹下來$2500。後來發現居然單是一隻蟹,還收了將近$200的加工費及茶介及服務費。同樣是貴價海鮮的蝦(8隻),刺身上也收了$82的加工費及服務費。以為抵食嘅平價扇貝,$152四隻,但額外再$100嘅加工費(額外70%加工費?!不知所謂 )。跟某senior男員工投訴,結果一句「全西貢都係咁」就打發我們,額頭上好似刻左「係厄你啊,西貢就係咁ga la」。算吧,都冇辦法同你爭辯。下次唔再黎就算啦!如果你睇完此文還是要來一試,order套餐罷了,質量雖然不高,但至少唔會「斬」到你一頸血。A total ripoff. 值得排隊等吃的牛排,強烈推薦<五成熟 西冷排 加 蒜蓉 配 燒汁>!

聽人講過這間西餐廳, bookmark左好耐一直好想去試下,今次終於有機會啦。大概7點左右去到餐廳,出面已經排左好多人。拿了個號,前面有成30個號,慘…唔知要排幾耐啦,於是就趁有時間周圍去行下。其實,宜家回想,等候時間並沒有想像中長,因為好多人拿了號後可能會離開,所以之前會連續skip左成5個號的情況。而且用餐環境並不好,所以大家用餐的時間都相對較短,30分鐘就完成一個round。所以,其實預計大概一個鐘頭可以輪30個號啦, just FYR. 我地就用等待的時間去了太子新開的胖達人bakery買左幾個麵包。行行企企一個鐘頭就入座了,坐的位置因為最靠近通道,所以用餐環境是極為惡劣的,時常要躲避waiters, 燒紅的鐵板, 冷熱飲品及熱湯…其實用餐環境是相當的惡劣, in general. 因為入面基本系煙霧瀰漫, 到處都系鐵板的熱煙。我地三個分別order左: 西冷排,蘇格蘭牛排以及雜排(豬+雞)餐。$80(加蒜蓉+10%) 的餐我覺得真系好抵食。有一個餐包,一碗湯(紅/白),一個鐵板排,一杯熱飲。餐包: 完全冇特別 (不要期望)湯: 一D都唔特別 (亦不要期望), 不過個人覺得紅湯比較好飲,比其他餐廳的湯較為酸熱飲: 唔特別,普通奶茶/咖啡主角當然就系牛排!但要注意啊,記得用紙巾擋住,否則你件衫就唔洗要啦,D肉汁系會彈到周圍都系,所以剛上檯的那兩分鐘,一定要用紙巾擋住面and衫。等到塊鐵板cool down就可以開餐啦!西冷排: 最好吃的就是西冷排啦~ 其實7成同5成出黎個效果冇咩分別。可以接受到5成應該要5成,因為入面有d紅外面軟,真系好好吃。 個排有成一寸厚,大概15 寸長,絕對有成半斤牛肉。入口好軟,應該有加工,絕對不是外面吃的外國牛排甘乾甘硬。非常的juicy and soft。好好好好吃。配上蒜蓉,一口咬下去,頓感幸福感飆升。蘇格蘭牛排: juicy and soft, 比西冷排較為硬。雜排: 同樣juicy and soft。但其實同樣價錢,還是吃牛排比較開心及滿足 燒汁 or 黑椒? 如果唔吃得辣就燒汁,其實燒汁個味道幾好。黑椒口味比較重,所以就會蓋過肉的鮮味。其實成個用餐只系30分鐘左右,上餐好快,用餐環境惡劣(逼,煙霧瀰漫,位置窄,少少危險),所以大家都快快脆吃完丿。但我覺得我會再去,因為牛排真系性價比極高,而且能看到年邁的伯伯對經營的執著,感受到的還是一種香港精神!…Read More
