Have read so many write-ups about this "Upstairs Cafe" in the past few months.... finally got a friend who is willing to join me for "vegetarian" lunch!

This place is located in the 1/F of an extremely old building in Happy Valley. We were so impressed of the 15' ceiling height! The cafe is very spacious with not more than 20 seats. Me & my friends were the only guests there for lunch, the service staff also told us that they are more busy during dinner time (hope so).

Set lunch at HK$68 net per person incl
1) Cream of Broccoi & Cauliflower Soup
2) Mango & Papaya Salad
3) Pan-fried Tofu + Stir-fried Vegetables with Mushroom + Long Grain Rice
NO coffee/tea

Need to add extra HK$22 for home-made dessert or drinks. We tried the Ginger Cheese Cake & Mango Pancake.

Comments:
- Interesting decoration
artistic design!
- Home feeling environment... they have got this big bookshelf full of books
- Must go to visit the open kitchen and bathroom - nice!
- Friendly service (since we are the only 2 guests in the entire cafe)

- Fresh ingredients - esp salad
- Healthy food - basically the food has not much oil

- Overall food taste ok
- Dessert not sweet enough

Need to pay extra HK$10 to join the membership as the waitress told us they run this cafe as a "members only" club - probably there is no proper restaurant licence. But this $10 will be donated to Community Chest.

We spent HK$100 ($68+22+10) per person for lunch. You can say is very expensive.... but it's worth to go to have such a relax lunch once in a while.

This cafe will be a great venue for private party, I think the waitress said min charge of HK$150 person but only vegetarian food will be provided. No brought-in food!
