Starbucks and their summer drinks season means one thing. Summer is upon us. I decided to try the the Coconut Summer Bliss ($50 for venti). Perhaps this place was seriously understaffed (only one person working so he was also the barista and the cashier) but this drink wasn't really worth it. It was a drizzle of strawberry syrup on the bottom, a blitz of coconut milk  and cream in the blender. All this was poured on top. I thought they would mix the ingredients together instead of having it separate. So, you have to do this  yourself otherwise you get a mouthful of coconut milk followed by strawberry sauce.  A bit disappointing and not what I was expecting.

I also ordered an egg mayo and tomato sandwich ($35). I was only asked if I was staying here. Then the staff popped it in the oven and toasted it until the egg mayo was soggy and melted. I had no idea he was going to heat it for me as he didn't say so. He just asked if I was staying here. Which to me means he'd just put it on a plate or something.  He didn't ask if  I wanted it reheated. Maybe he was flustered from having to do everything on his own while there was a line of people waiting. I don't know.  But here was my melted mayo sandwich. I really dislike warm mayo so this was clearly a super sad face for me. A destruction to what would have been a delicious sandwich. I didn't say anything because I know they would just throw out this sandwich and give me a new one. But then that's a waste of food and I didn't want to do that.

The drink was pretty average. My sandwich was ruined. Though this is a really nice quiet Starbucks location, they really need to have more staff working here. The poor guy was flustered an running around, doing everything on his own. This resulted in a pretty poor turnout of drinks and food. Usually I would give an unhappy face but since I feel really sorry for this understaff situation, I'll just give it an ok.
