There were a few set lunches to choose from at different prices. There were quite a few pastas on the menu. Each set lunch included a daily salad and soup, a main dish, and coffee or tea. You could upgrade your set drink by adding $18+10% to get better coffee or fresh juice or even $38+10% to get mocktail, cocktail or innovative tea. You could also upgrade by $38+10% to get a dessert of the day. We decided to order two different set lunches to share.

Crab Cake at $108 +10%

Given the name of the restaurant, we decided to try more crab items and also ordered this crab cake. There were 5 pieces of crab cakes nicely presented on a plate decorated by some salads and dressing. The crab cakes were not very hot but were slightly crispy and tasty. They were not oily at all.

Daily Salad (included in set lunch)

The daily salad looked pretty colourful, with a lot of greens, some cherry tomatoes cut into halves, sliced cucumber and some corn. It was well dressed. Ingredients were fresh.

Pumpkin Soup (included in set lunch)

The daily soup was pumpkin soup with a thin slice of toast served on top. It was not those type of soup which was particularly thick.

Grilled N.Z. Sirloin with Onion Gravy at $168+10%

It was served with seasonal vegetables and onion gravy. You could choose plain rice or fries. The grilled sirloin had very clear grilled mark on it. The gravy sauce was good and made the sirloin less dry. We chose fries over plain rice and we asked for no salt for the fries which ended up having some chili powder sprinkled on top. Yummy. The fries were so starchy too and wouldn't burn your mouth. There were two slices each of ovened eggplant and zucchini which added some healthy components to the dish.

Crab Meat Linguine Carbonara  at $128+10%

"With crab meat, onion, crispy bacon, cheese in cream sauce" said on the menu. Given the name of the restaurant, we decided to try this crab pasta dish. The portion of the carbonara seemed big! The cream sauce was more than enough which made the linguine so smooth and evil. I even dipped some fries into this remaining sauce. There were some real crab meat and loads of ham and some crispy and salty bacon topped by some cheese slices to enhance flavour. I personally liked this pasta dish more than the sirloin.

We upgraded for two mocktails.

Sunset (Fresh Orange, Orange Juice, Tomato Juice) +$38+10%

Sunset was essentially orange juice plus tomato juice. We didn't mix it well so that it was essentially orange juice on top and tomato juice at the bottom. There was a thin slice of orange laid out on top. It was quite a healthy and refreshing drink which had the right level of sweetness.

Devil's Chocolate (Chocolate, Milk, Mar's Bar Chocolate, Whipping Cream) +$38+10%

As we decided to order no dessert, we chose this only choice of chocolate mocktail. It was nicely presented with two pieces of Mars' bars on top and some decorating chocolate sauce surrounding the glass. The Mars' bars themselves were sweet and sticky but the drink itself was not too sweet at all. Quite a devil end to the meal.

We were so full after our big lunch. Seating was quite comfortable and service was pretty attentive. Our mains were served together and they collected our finished plates quite fast.
