we decided to try out the signature dishes: cheese burger with black pepper sauce, fries, and fried chicken leg. While the restaurant lacked the conventional romantic candlelight atmosphere on a valentine's day, the service was friendly and prompt with staffs going out of their way to accommodate customer's need (the maitre' d/ cash register operator tried his best to speak english to us) seating was available on a last minute basis, standard amenities for restaurants were lacking, "napkins" were
While the restaurant lacked the conventional romantic candlelight atmosphere on a valentine's day, the service was friendly and prompt with staffs going out of their way to accommodate customer's need (the maitre' d/ cash register operator tried his best to speak english to us)
seating was available on a last minute basis, standard amenities for restaurants were lacking, "napkins" were only available upon special request.
hamburger appearance was appetizing. the patty was juicy and succulent. we appreciated the health consideration by using low fat processed kraft cheese (according to the flyer)
chicken leg was well prepared and thoroughly cooked unlike many competing restaurants thereby reducing the chances of contracting bird flu. the only complain we have is we wish they would have used free range, organic grain fed non-hormone injected chicken from australia.
the french fries were the highlight of the evening, hot and crispy, just like any french fries connoisseur would expect. even more interesting was the discovery of a brand of ketchup never heard before: Hunt's, imported directly from Nebraska, the heart of middle of America.
we wholeheartedly recommend this place for any couple looking for a romantic getaway at the heart of hunghom.
XOXO
