In I tried their signatures in the past, I came this time when I saw their set dinner menu.When we arrived, it was still quiet but it packed up quickly. When we arrived, it was still quiet but it packed up quickly. Unfortunately, it also became a bit noisy.
They have a new set menu where each course except the soup has cheese in it.
First came the bread. Unfortunately, it was a bit cold.
This was redeemed by their first course. This was my first time trying a savory souffle and the aroma of the cheese was heavenly. Even without the truffle sauce it was a great dish. My friend described the beef chips going well with the light cheese mousse on his dish.
The soup came next. Unfortunately, despite its good taste, it was only lukewarm when served.
Once again, the main course redeemed the soup. (This is almost like a roller coaster ride) My halibut had a nice crispy outside while retaining its moisture. The gruyere also gave the extra flavor the halibut needed. My friend's pithivier was nicely baked. The pastry was thin and the beef was tender.
Luckily, the cheesecake did not disappoint. Its presentation was cute. The richness of cheesecake was balanced by the tartness of the coulis and sorbert.
There were definitely some issues of the temperature of the bread and soup(which should be easy to fix) but overall, I would still recommend this menu.
