This restaurant was very busy when we arrived for our booking at 8.30, and we were immediately seated at a large table. This restaurant was very busy when we arrived for our booking at 8.30, and we were immediately seated at a large table. Our drinks arrived in under a minute, the fastest service I have seen for a long time.

We shared a mixed bbq meat platter for starters and for the price, $96, was a disgrace. A few pieces of chicken and a few of pork was all we got. You can get a lot better at any meat restaurant for around $30-$40.

I really wish that kitchens would communicate with the waiters about what has sold out. Ten minutes after ordering we were told the clam dish was not available.

Our mains were very good, we had a lamb stir fry, a pork cheek on silky tofu, and an unusual sounding pork with shrimp paste. All three were excelant, and the pork/shrimp paste was a very successful experiment.

With 2 beers and one coke the bill was $500 which I thought reasonable for good food and good service.

I look forward to going back and trying other original recipes there.
