Snakes have traditionally thought to be very nourishing for the body in Chinese culture, and has been increasingly counterfeited by local vendors through substituting snake with as a much cheaper alternative, chicken, as their texture is really similar. It was really nice knowing that we were eating authentic snake. The viscosity was good, not too runny and not too goopy, and the salinity was good too. The portion was slightly small given the high price tag, but nonetheless it was a great snake banquet!

2. Claypot Rice in Ribs, Eel, w/ Soybean Paste $108 Rating: 5/5
One of the best claypot rice we have ever tried! The meat ribs were very tender and flavourful, and though the marinade base was soysauce, the salinty was not overpowering and complimented well with the rice and the hardened rice bits at the bottom of the claypot. We had to be more cautious of bones when eating the eel, but the meat was very soft and fresh, signs of good seafood! The soysauce was slightly sweet and tasted very natural, not artificial at all. We would definitely come back for this again!

We had no idea the portions would be so big, and we stupidly ordered ANOTHER rice! Thankfully, we got a doggy bag for the leftovers. This rice alone can feed 3-4 people, and on top of the claypot rice, it would be decent to feed at least 6 people. The rice was extremely flavourful, with a heavy garlic taste. Though it was slightly salty after a while, the seafood aromatics were complemented well with the punches of garlic infused into the rice. Overall, would highly recommend this. Great quality and great price!

The ginseng taste here was so strong that honestly with every single bite or suck of the meat was truly saturated fully with traditional chinese herbal medicine! The flavour was so strong it took us by surprise, but after a while we were in love with it! This isn't a common dish you can find elsewhere and so we were really glad we tried it out! The meat was succulent and tasted of traditional Chinese cuisine!
