Pic 1️⃣: 叉燒煎蛋飯 (宮崎快樂豬叉燒,九州太陽卵) / Barbecued Miyazaku Marumi Pork and Sunny-side-up Kyushu Eggs with Steamed Rice - $175 hkd 🍳🐷
— Might be one of the priciest barbecued pork rice I’ve ever had 😂 but definitely lived up to its hype. The Miyazaki Marumi pork had a very even distribution of fat and lean meat which made it the perfect cut for cha siu. Not to mention, the marinade on this was extremely tasty and roasted to an aromatic finish. The kyushu eggs have a rich reddish orange colour giving the dish a nice pop of colour. Only thing I would say is that the rice could’ve done with a bit more soy sauce as it lacked savouriness and was slightly dry.


Pic 2️⃣: 煎蛋串茄焗豬扒飯 / Oven-baked Miyazaku Marumi Dry-aged Pork Chop w / Dutch Vine Tomatoes - $190 hkd 🍅
— So delicious! Been struggling to find high quality baked pork chop rice lately and this really hit the mark. The dry-aged pork chop was so rich in flavour, soft in texture and managed to stay so tender despite the long cooking time. The tomato sauce was rich, and had the perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. Really recommend ordering this as this really blew me away!


Pic 3️⃣&4️⃣: 船上的火鴨湯河 跟 北京鴨春捲 / Boat Rice Flat Noodle in Roasted Duck Soup & Peking Duck Roll - $160 hkd 🦆
— A much lighter option which was also pretty impressive. The duck broth was flavourful and hearty, which went well with the rice noodles. The roasted duck slices were tender but lacked flavour. Spring rolls could be improved because the filling on its own is tasty but the spring rolls were super chewy with a very odd texture.
